  1. Just install the PIAA extreme white on my low beam and fog light. The fog light looks much better, pure white. The low beam was disapointing, although a bit brighter than stock. It is not as white as the fog lights or the 9006 I had on my last car. I was going to try Hoen bulbs, but their bulb run at 85 watts, I dont want to run the risk of over loading my electrical system. The PIAA are all right for the low beams for now but I think I might save up for the real deal, HID. P.S. Dont get silver stars, they are garbage.
  2. Just try that suspension thing and no cluck.
  3. I had a 98 Grand Cherokee too, but it didn't have the cluck, but had every other problem known to man. I have a 05 GX now and I experience the cluck once a while but it is so slight that it doesn't bother me at all. With or without the cluck, the GX is still the best SUV or car I have ever owned.
  4. It is like On Star.
  5. How about this, if you can find it at your dealer.
  6. I too test drove the LR3 last month. I must say I did not like it at all. I thought the GX was too boxy already until I seen the LR3. The LR3 drove nice, much like the GX, but was not as quiet or smooth. The interior was not up to standard for a $55000 SUV and the front cup holders look like they were add on, very tacky looking. At that same time, I also test drove the range rover, it was a much nicer ride and has a much nicer interior. But the RR is in another ball park as far as pricing. In the end, Lexus' quality and relieability won me over. The Rovers are nice if you are leasing for a couple of years, or if you are trying to be unique, or if relieable transportation is not high on your priorty list.
  7. The 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche have 460 ft-lbs of torque, doesn't it?
  8. The factory don't even offer twin tail pipes, never mine dual exhaust :cries:
  9. ← Granted. The question remains.... which would rather have, more torque or more HP? ← Off the line and accelarating from stop, I would rather have more torque, for the quarter mile, I would rather have more horse power.
  10. Just bought a 05 GX, it now has about 60 miles on it. I think I have already experience what you guys called the cluck. It almost fell like a down shift. It is so slight that it doesn't bother me at all. Hope it doesn't get worst, other wise, the GX is the best SUV I have ever own. Coming off a 03 MDX, the GX is a dream. The MDX has alot of these so call characteristic of the vehicle issues. Some of the more common ones are the brake cluck, the sloahing gas tank, a transmission that skips gears and the shifting driver seat.
  11. To get anything that weights almost 5000 pounds to move fast off the line, you need a lot of torque. Toyota design this engine with that in mind. Just wondering if anyone on this forum have use a K & N air filter for their GX. I had one in my old MDX and it increase gas mileage by about 5%, I am thinking about putting one in my new GX.
  12. Doesn't K&N make a air filter for the GX?
  13. denslexusgx470 THose tail lights are nice, how did you white out those sections only?
  14. Its not so much the 4 wheel drive taking up the engine's power, but more to do with the additional weigh of the 4 wheel drive system itself. If you compare a GX with a 2WD 4Runner, the GX is almost 800 pounds heavier. Even with the select 4WD, you would still have the additional weigh, but you might get better gas mileage.
  15. What is the percentage of owners that have this clunk and how loud is it? I must admit I have never heard it before, but then, I had my GX only for 2 days only.
