  1. If your car is still under warranty, your dealer should replace it for free.
  2. For the 06 GS, the bigeest problem is rattles in the front and back windows and the dash board.
  3. A class action law suit over a windhield wiper, now I have heard it all. I have no problem with the rain sensing wipers. Sometimes it does fall asleep, I just turn it on in manual then back to auto and everything is fine, but it doesnt happen that often. The dealer can also change the auto sensing adjutment to just plain old intermitent adjustment, but no matter what they do, I have a feeling you wont be happy. You didnt like your GS the day you bought it, and the wipers is just another excuse to get rid of it. My advise is to just sell it and never buy another Lexus again.
  4. Most radio shack and CVS dont carry that size, but you can get it thru the internet.
  5. I would get it repair before your warranty is up, it is cover by a TSB.
  6. So did I. The 335XI was $15K more and has less options. Lexus had a nicer interior, better built material and no I-Drive. Both accelarate about the same, the BMW did corners better but at the expense of a rougher ride. Since I dont corner at 80 MPH like I use to when I was younger, Lexus was the right choice for me.
  7. He's in New Orleans, so I dont think he need AWD anyways :) The consumer report is BS, they said the the GS350 AWD was unrelieable due to dash rattles and dash components. As far as I know, both the RWD and AWD share the same dash components and acessories. Yet the RWD was rated as reliable. Consumer report is what it use to be, I dont even read their annual car report anymore.
  8. No funny smell here.
  9. That bluish stain is from the fluid they use for the heated mirrors, it must be leaking. Try telling the dealer it started leaking b 4 the warranty is up and see what they say. If they do fix it for you, it will be out of good will. Good Luck
  10. The dealer just swap mine pads out, no squeaking and seems to be less dust. They will change out the pads even if its a 08, but they gave me a hard time and I had to argue with the service manager for about 30 mins b 4 he agree to do it.
  11. No the Yokohama Advan A10B have terrible reviews from GS owners as far as road noise. If you want less noise, go with Michelin pilot or good year eagle F1.
  12. The Yokohama Advan A10B is not a run flat tire, cupping can be cause by the following: - out of balance wheel assembly - worn bearings, shocks, springs or other suspension components - High tire pressure
  13. I think there is a clear all POI button somewhere.
  14. GX470 law, what I am trying to tell you is that your AC compressor does not kick on everytime you you come to a stop. The fact that the AC is on make the clunk happens more often due to the higher rpm.
  15. I would go with the NGK or Denso iridium plug, they will last up to 100K miles and have better cinductivity. They are about 10 buck a piece online: http://sparkplugs.com/results_app.asp?prod...mp;AAIA=1431834
  16. You AC drain line is clogged, bring it to the dealer, I believe the drain line is behind the dash. In the mean time, dont turn on the AC, that may be hard since you are in Florida.
  17. If your truck bounce more than once after you push down on it, you need new shocks. The rear air suspension's rough ride could be cause by the clunk TSB or bad air suspension.
  18. GX470 Law, you mean to tell me your A/C compressor kicks in everytime you come to a complete stop? The AC will make the clunk problem worst, so will stopping the truck fast. What I did in the past to show the dealer the clunk problem was to turn on the AC, adjuct my rear suspension down and up and back to auto and stop the truck sharp. I can get the truck to clunk almost everytime by doing that.
  19. Are you sure they went back to the spin on filter for the GS350?
  20. hmmmm, squeaking or brake dust. I think I rather have brake dust :)
  21. No, the depth is pretty standard. Its the mounting holes, most of the time you need a adpator.
  22. I think the lastest software version is 7.1, check yours to see what version it is.
  23. There should be no more carbon build up than normal with regular unleaded, but think about what you are really saving. 93 octane cost 20 cents more a gallon, so you are saving a whole $3 off a $50 fill up. There are cars that you get put in regular and get away with it, even though the manufacturer requires premium. The GS is not one of them due to its high compression ratio engine.
  24. If you read the fine prints in your manual, it tells you that the pads are high friction pad. High friction pad use very soft material, it doesnt mean they are cheap. There is a TSB for excessive brake dust for the 07 GS, which they change out the front pads to regular pad with produce less dust but doesnt perform as well. The TSB for the 08 is not out yet, you have to wait til it comes out i guess.
  25. 3 more miles per gallon with regular doesnt sound right. You need to keep using regular for a few months and take a monthly average.
