  1. I have a 08 350 AWD GS. I notice when I switch from D to S around 60 MPH. The transmission uses 4th gear instead of 6th gear. Is this normal? This is kind of dangerous. Can this be re-configured based on the speed?
  2. After emailing to the GM of dealership, they agreed to reimburse that new RFT. But with a lot of execuses and BS. I truely believe the tire can be fixed. Anyway, I cannot prove it because I don't have the flat tire anymore. And dealer also said they can be replaced by the traditional tires with the OEM rims. It is too late to ask them to replace all of them. We are currently contacting Lexus Customer Service 1-800-255-3987 to see what they can do about it. We have not heard back from them. I would like to encourage people to do that if you are not unhappy about this. Let them know this is a problem with #50K+ cars. I agree with you, ahearn. The technology is not quite there yet. I've done some researches online. The RFTs are giving problems to Toyota Sienna, Honda Odyssey, BMW 3 series and Lexus SC. There are a couple class action lawsuits against Toyota and Honda about misleading customers for unexpected high tire replacement costs. I guess they are more owners for Toyota and Honda. Otherwise, we may see the same situation for BMW and Lexus.
  3. My car is 08 GS350 AWD with Dunlop run-flat tires. I had a screw at RR. The Lexus dealer claimed the tires are not repairable. It can only be replaced. Does anyone know it is a true statement? Replacing a RFT will cost around $400 according to the dealership. Does anyone know if we can use traditiional tires on those rims? Or have to use RFT? Thanks.
  4. Hi sha4000, Does booklet has any web site or phone number? Or any information that we can register for this year? Or information that they will have one in Seattle? Thanks.
  5. Hi bartkat, Do they have a web site for this year? I cannot find this year event from www.LexusTasteOfLuxury.com, Thanks.
  6. Does anyone know if there is one in Seattle for this year?
  7. I found this TSIB from nhtsa. Does anyone know what this is for? What is the problem? How can it be reproduced? Make : LEXUS Model : RX330 Year : 2004 Manufacturer : TOYOTA MOTOR NORTH AMERICA, INC. Service Bulletin Num : 5033C Date of Bulletin: APR 26, 2005 NHTSA Item Number: 10015650 Component: POWER TRAIN:DRIVELINE:DIFFERENTIAL UNIT Summary: REPAIR MANUAL CORRECTION FOR THE DIFFERENTIAL MOUNT CUSHION (4WD). *TT
  8. Hi SKperformance, I was saying that I have been using 91 octane premium unleaded gas since 2003/12. I can still feel the hesitation on my car.
  9. Is this a TSIB? What is the number? What is the starting VIN number?
  10. I don't think the premium unleaded gas will help the hesitation because I have been used premium unleaded since I have mine since 2003/12.
  11. I totally agree with chimchim. His example is the same experience with me. I have to train myself to do feather touch on the accelerator. It is really not a pleasure drive because of this rough transmission shifting. This didn't happen to my previous Lexus. Is this because of the 5 speed transmission?
  12. Hi Booyah, What is one coming for the ES and RX for the throttle deal? What is this about? Thank you for the info.
  13. Hi Husker4theSpurs and Booyah, any info on this one?
  14. Does anyone get this TSIB fix for this one? I asked my service dealer. There is one for ES330 just came out recently, but not for RX330. Any info?
