  1. Hello.. I had a similar occurance. My light stayed off when I added fluid. I dont know exact specs on transmitter, but tap is lightly and maybe this will knock some sense into it! Actually check out the wires (I think they have a sealent over it) then make sure it is full again.. Tap on it a bit.. If light stays on and it bothers you then you may have to replace.
  2. xenithxenons1@yahoo.com George seems to be the real deal. They have a one year warentee. They are a real company and he responds to questions fast. Total cost is $250 bucks and that includes shipping. These are Xenon/HID lights. Cheers to LEXUS
  3. I thought premium burned hotter not faster. A dragster has massive amounts of fuel being forced into engine.. According to my fuel experts premium is harder to ignite. It has nothing to do with buring faster. A ping is a pre ignition from compression or carbon. So for those who drive the 87 or 89. Does anyone have high mileage over 200k? With just straight 87 or 89 octain.
  4. Curious about the idea of chrome. Chrome is beautiful on Harley's, but if you look at most luxury cars they have a finished silver. Right before I bought my LS400 wheels and tires I talked to a guy at tirerack.com and he stated "chrome looks good on my harley." After that I made a decision to buy a finished silver. I love it. I see a lot of Hondas that have the chrome and its interesting. This is not meant to sway anyones opinion, but just to inform.
  5. For a 91 speaker.. I thought there was only one optoin for the speaker, replacement?
  6. Interesting.. Do you have statistical data to support your case? I mean for 8 fill ups you used reg and saw a 24MGP. The for four premium you saw a 22MPG? This would have to be during similar highway and city driving conditions..
  7. Hey dont eat to many bigmacks.. You got to look good in that LEXUS! :)
  8. In my eyes gas is 2.50 (regular) to 2.70 (premium) a gallon. So the .20/2.50... That is 8% more.. So at the pump when I pay $50 dollars I could pay $46.00. Four times a month I could save $16 a month or $192. Although I would like to think that engineers at LEXUS are wrong and misguiding me I have to think about their track record. They build a car in 1990 that is better then most American cars in 2005. So I will spend the extra $200 bucks to keep my second love or LS400 happy! Cheers to LEXUS!
  9. Well I only have if 2k miles on my tires, but so far they are good. I hear the MX4's go 80k, where as the Tauranza go 50k? Or something like that.. When I get a bit more experience with them I will let you know, but so far they feel great! Cheers my LEXUS!
  10. Hey ladies and gents.. I called the people at Klasse and they stated to use microfiber towels. So do I need a buffer and the 1-2-3 process? I suspect the buffer is the best method to strip the crap off of the car and put on the good polish? Right now I am going to buy the 4 pads, backing plate, sonous 1-2-3 and the buffer.. Does this sound like the way to go? Cheers to LEXUS!
  11. That is a great picture of George Bush. :)
  12. What is the point of this piece? Does it help with steering and support when one is pounding on the LEXUS? Chris
  13. I always think of the LS400 or LS430 in my finance business. Its funny but people think you are successful when you drive the LS anything. If I were to drive an Avalon most people would think of a normal car = average success. Personally I could drive a Tempo and have confidence, but the LEXUS puts me over the top. I beam with energy and I feel great! I love my LEXUS!! Cheers to LEXUS!
  14. Looks interesting. Yeah the finish is going to cost a pretty penny!
  15. The picture does look nice, but these cars hold up. I am sure your son loves the wheels, but I dont. In the end the decision is yours, but I would be cautious since repairs are expensive there are numerous strikes against this car. Why is owner selling?
  16. No go. Do not buy that car. Take it for a drive and then take a few others for a drive. I am sure you will see a difference. It should be the best ride you have driven. The 20" wheels may make an ant feel like a speed bump. Also I agree that is was probably driven hard. If not the 20" wheels can not help the front end that is prone to $1500 dollar repairs every 100,000 miles. I would not be surprised if there is a vibration or shake up front. For sure the salvage scares me. I dont care how well they can rebuild them in CALI, I just paid 6900 for my 93LS with 93k and its close to mint. Did you look at cars.com? Auto trader.com? There are plenty of LEXUS's out there. Although they do last to 300k I would rather have one with 100k then 160k. Also the 93-94 is a better LEXUS. Go to the links at the top of LS400 and look at generations. They added a lot of great things in the 93. Cheers, but dont rush!
  17. I will be on the road, but I am going to LEXFEST.. I cant wait to see the awesome LEXUS's! Cheers to LEXUS!! East coast in the house!
  18. I just got some new tires and my LS400 is awesome. Since it is real wheel drive I focused on one of the best Tauranza LSV. They have great ratings and now the true test will be a NE winter. I might have to buy something in my budget for the winter.. Maybe a KIA to park on the side of my LEXUS. After all it has FWD.
  19. What is the deal with the MAF? Did you also get more hp when you cleaned it? Quicker reaction to the peddle? Also when you clean what is to be careful about? I am going to do this when I get home from the islands.. Cheers to LEXUS and good luck with the idle.
  20. Did you read laymens for laymens at the top of the LS400 page? Also how much...? What is the year? Check on what has been changed/repaired. There are some things that go wrong and it costs money.. Front end is really important (up to $2000 to fix)... Power steering pump ($500)... Dash lights when cold ($300).. Timing belt ($500).. There are a few other issues on in the Laymens guide.. Follow it to a T and you will end up with a awsome LEXUS like I have (93 LS400).. Also there are plenty of them out there so dont get to excited about the first one.. Unless its a great deal that meets the Laymens guide! Cheers to LEXUS and your a great dad!
  21. Congrats! I have a 93 and I LOVE IT!! Actually before I left for the islands I got on her a bit. First time in my life I hit 115mph. In all reality I did not really get on her to much, but it was awesome! Do not recommend for anyone! Cheers to LEXUS. A wonderful ride with that safe feeling! You will also get a lot of looks, smiles and "nice car" statements. Enjoy!
  22. Wow free LS400. Not bad.. Read "Millionare next door." More or less goes into the children who get things and dont work for them typically have issues. Dont fall into this trap. The LEXUS is awesome! Get some tint on it and LEXUS will look awesome!
  23. Might be god saying "no smoking allowed! You will damage my lexus."
  24. I know my metalic squeal all the time. It is such a bummer. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Cheers to LEXUS!
  25. I have the 93 and when I talked to my mechanics they stated just drive it. Lexus also looked at it for my 100 dollar pre purchase inspection and stated it was fine. I know to take all opinions with a grain of salt, but as another LEXUS post stated the pre 94 can drive till their stranded. I also know people who have 140k with out changing timing belt.. I dont think this is smart, but some people do it. Cheers to LEXUS
