That is not a bad idea , she was looking at the gs300 1st gen. but I would like it if she were to get a 98 or better GS300 but too much $ what about an toyota avalon ?

4 doors and she wants a 6 cyl I am trying to get her into a ls400 but the v8 with gas and insurance !!! she'll pay $10,000- $15,000 and wants $5 to $7 for her car.

Hello fellow lexus owners , I am going to sell my 93 ES300 blk on blk and want to know what the LOC members would do ? Should I buy a ls400 [ 90-96 ] or a GS300 second gen. OR ? I also own a 98 GS300 blk on blk , the car being sold is my wifes car . I drove a 96 GS300 yesterday and i thought it was a dog - 72,000 mi.and it did not have the getgo that my gs has at all , then i drove a 98 SC400 and this car would be alright for a 2nd car but not roomy enough , any suggestions would be greatly appreciated . The search moves forward B)

Welcome to LOC , If the people that think you are rich would buy A lexus for themselves, instead of buying the junk that they own , then they could look at there own LEXUS , then they will ask themselves the question "Am I rich ? ;) Enjoy your LEXUS .

Maybe i am wrong , i have a 93 es3 and i am with the understanding that the es and the camry share the same platform [ althuogh i do not know if this is still true ] does anybody know ????

The es and camry are the same platform , either you want to drive a toyota or a lexus [ i traded my camry for a G3 ] :D :D :D

B) I am so happy with my 98 GS , love the style and hate to see it go , I think the new front end looks like an acura [ i'm blind in one eye and i can't see out of the other one ] but if it came my way i would have three lexus instead of two.

No Doubt , they are [5] speeds or if you want to look at them a different way they are 4 speed automatics with a unisex drive gear [hence the 5th gear] if you want a 4 speed just flip the power switch

i just replaced my stock tires [also dunlop] with MICHELIN PILOT SPORT XGTV4 16" and they are the best tire that i have driven on. really happy.

sk , i don't know too much about artermarket intakes , why is the short intake junk and what is recomended ? do you need a upgraded ecu , chip , or what ? and why ? still learning . thanx , dc

what type of new battery terminals did you use ? and what gauge wire ? all copper ? what do you think about a ground wire to the head for spark ? thanx

Has anybody used one of those multiwire negative ground assemblies that connect from the negative terminal of the battery then multiple wires are attached to various components in the engine bay ? Any positive results from the use of these ? any info will be greatly appreciated . thanx

I have a power wire [on at all times] ,a power wire that has to connect to a source that turns on and off with the ignition switch and a ground . thx for info.

twinturbo619 , do you know where i can get power to the cd changer on a 98 gs300 , all i need to know is where to connect the 12v power wire and the 12v ignition wire. any info would help.thanx

PIONEERSUBY , I thought that you would know this one, or be able to come up with the correct answers . all someone has to do is follow the power wires from the changer back to the junction box and look at the connector [location and which wire goes where ] and what type of connector it is . i don't have that luxury of going through the procedure because i am putting a stock cd changer in to a gs that never had a cd installed [ i know it sounds easier than it actually is ] any lexus techs out there?

does anybody know the exact terminals that are used to power the cd changer in a 98 gs300 , i understand there is a instrument panel junction box behind the air ducts in the middle of the dash , this is where the connection is supposed to be , what terminals are the power and the ignition on/off [color of wires?] and what type of connector am i going to need for the two wires? any info is greatly appreciated.thnx

my wife and i both drive lexus 93 es300 and 98 gs300 we both drove camry's before and chose lexus because af toyotas excellent track record and lexus certainly is one of the finest cars on the road today, will always drive a lexus until we can't drive anymore. :D :D :D ;)
