  1. I feel that it is an ok deal, yeah the car's trade in value at excelent is like 20,900 dollars, but you figure that the retail price is like 25k, so I think it is ok, check out kbb.com. Put in good for the condition, and see what you get for both trade in value, and retail value.
  2. Mine got cracked. I believe it was done either during the install of my intake, or a oil change. dont ask...
  3. Try lextasy.com, or IS300.net. Pretty good prices. later.
  4. R U having check engine light issues? I was wondering about those things. I have had a lot of issues with check enging light, not much lately, knock on wood. But just curious if that is why you picked ththe S-AFC up. later. Are you using your engine cover, the black plastic thing with the L on it, I need one. Thanks,
  5. I am very familiar with this, last winter I could not drive this car for nothing in the snow. I purchased some Sumitomo HTR + tires to try to help. Well, Wednesday night here in VA, it snowed. I was very nervous about the car, and driving. But amazingly it did very well. I picked them up at Tires.com, for 89 a piece. I would definetly reccomend them. Check them out. Although I have been thinking about the blizzaks, have not heard nothing but good things. later.
  6. I have an 01. Its pretty cool, not to good in the snow. But very fun to drive. The engine is to me, what makes the car. Very powerful. Kinda like a sleeper. You will enjoy if you pick it up. I think it is a peoples car, our car, am I right people? I think women look good in it though, but maybe it makes me look good too. One can only hope. Take it easy, and get that car!
  7. I am in VA. Central Va. About an hour from Roanoke, and 2hrs from Richmond. Thats where I got my IS.
  8. I have done a burnout in my IS. Its not cool because I cannot see it. Also I do not trust anyone else to do it in front of me. If the car is going to get dogged, I am the one thats going to do it, you know what I mean. The car is plenty powerful so I guess with the right finesse, and the trac off, it is possible. Stay cool man.
  9. I have a 2001 IS, I got it at Lexus of Richmond in VA. I bought it new, its nice. You will enjoy it thouroughly. Mine is the Spectra Blue with black leather escain. I have the stock 17s, with new Sumitomo HTR Ultra High performance. I paid a little much for mine too, got a little hosed, but the car is hella cool, and very fast. As far as you getting hosed, maybe a little. But, you always feel like you are hosed after you leave a dealership. Recently put a rod millen exhaust on, did not want the buzzer type exhausts you hear on these civics. I also have a AEM short ram intake. It sounds cool as hell, like a race car with just those two mods. Stop by IS300.net, or Lextasy.com. They have a lot of parts, and the prices are not bad. My future plans for mine is to redo my Speaker box, it takes up too much room in my trunk. I have 2 12 inch JL audio subs in a box. Along with a punch 360 amp. Nice deal, only 200 bucks. Just not enough room in trunk. Windows tinted, thats it right now. I want to get the TRD style rear spoiler, because at 100 mph, the back end feels a little light. I also have the JDM shortened chrome antenna on the roof, and diamond clear front side marker lights. not installed yet though. :o Like I said before you will definetly enjoy, but you might want to upgrade the wheels to the 17 inchers for the better cornering.
  10. Do not sell the car. I felt that way too, and I am not expecting any kids, ...that I know of. But just take it easy in the snow, or leave early. That what I did last winter. as much as I could that is. Maybe buy a beater car, something with front wheel drive, and kind of cheap. But safe since you are expecting a kid. good luck, and congrats.-steven
  11. Thanks man. I appreciate it. By the way, nice IS, I like it. I am in the process of upgrading mine. I recently installed a rod millen rear section exhaust. And a AEM short ram intake. I have the jdm short chrome antenna also. I have a punch 360 amp, with JL audio 12's. I need to build me a custom box though. I have very little trunk left. But anyways, I appreciate the help. holla atcha boy. Peace.
  12. How do you change the bumper lights? I ordered some diamond clear front bumper lights to replace the orange ones on the front. I am just curious if anyone has replaced theres, and if so how? confused in VA. Thanks guys.
  13. Thanks, I have the snow button also. It helps. But the rwd can be tricky. Hoping for the best for this winter. Maybe I will get lucky, and there will be not much snow. :D
  14. not big on that style. I hope it looks better when it comes to the US.
