  1. Watch out for the aftermarket changers , this is fair warning , the second gen 92-96 12 disc lexus changers are faulty and the 3rd gen changers are almost perfect 96-2000 ,If you want a 96 -2000 lexus 6 disc changer contact me and will arrange it for you . B)
  2. Has anyone used the Irotor brand rotors on there GS ? Are they reputable ? I have a offer for $275.00 for all 4 corners , That is a good price but are they quality ? Thanx in advance, B)
  3. I'm quite happy that I do not live in texas .................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... and ???????????????????????????????????? OH BOY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. What did you send / and for what reason ? what model lex ? Is it for you ? What did they say the turnaround time would be ? do you have that email ? I beleive that there is a 10 day turnaround on just about anything that is sent [ or so I beleive they advertise that , I may be mistaken ] I had no prolems with my wifes 93 es300 instrument cluuster being rebuilt to LED'S for the tune of $119.00 and $20.00 for a complete set of bulbs . SORRY TO HEAR THAT YOU ARE HAVING PROBS . BUT DON'T TAKE IT OUT ON THE GUY THAT IS TRYING TO HELP , Send lexus a complaint on initial engineering and get there proper departments to respond [ the more pressure the better ] After all the mfg . is at fault not the guy who is trying to help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! B) LET THERE BE LIGHT B)
  5. What the ? please explain for all of us that use this forum ................ B) :( :P
  6. Please expand your knowledge on the TOOL that you bought . We at this forum would like for you to share this . part # would help ! Thanx much . ;)
  7. Buy her what she wants , and buy yourself what you want , then she'll be driving your car and you will be stuck HAHA driving hers . LOGICAL ?
  8. Your response is highly unusual [ and you have to factor in who you used to ship the cluster I beleive that is what you were having repaired ] and the day when it was shipped etc... The money order also . Your excersize in patience needs work , sometimes a custom shop is overbooked [ and that is none of your business it is theres ] regardless of there return emails [ probably because of your needling ] No pun intended , Your post in my opinion is negated . DID YOU RECEIVE YOUR SENT PRODUCT IN GOOD WORKING ORDER ? Posting personal emails is not proper , PLEASE post results that are the end result , and the problems that you experience are yours and yours only. [ one mans opinion ] I hope the product received is in excellent working order . B) LET THERE BE LIGHT B)
  9. I always have bought directly from the manufacturer from the internet and shipped to my door , The only time you buy more is for topping off after hose replacement or timing belt w/ waterpump replacement and the like service , You know it never , never boils over. Never corrodes and actually prevents detioriation of gaskets and seals - there is no water to oxidize and it actually lubricates the entire coolant system for smoother flow ++++++++ The best for mine and my wifes LEXUS , BAR NONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also run NEO synthetic oil in both cars always have and always will www.neosyntheticoil.com My fatherinlaw knows a guy who bought his 1990 ls400 new and now has over 500,000 on the vehichle , When he bought the car he took it home and dropped the oil and used neo 5w-30 only ever since [ arizona car ] I don't believe in manufacturer politics when it comes to whom they contract with for there products , I prefer to make those decisions on my own . Thanx , PS. I do use toyota tranny fluids B)
  10. You are on a biased site !!! GO WITH THE LEXUS FOR THE BDAY and get MB AMG .For you can't catch me . What is $ for ? B)
  11. I have a 98 GS300 and came with clear lenses and clear bulbs , I changed to yellow bulbs , I think that you can get yellow reflectors and stay with the white bulbs for the yellow look ? Mine are 6000k and am running sylvania silverstars high and low beams . B)
  12. Thanx guys , I was inquiring about the rotors for a friend who saw a IS with 19"-20" wheels and he said the rotors filled the inside of the wheel and looked quite flashy . I appreciate all of your info . Thanx again ,
  13. check fuel filter , air filter , any lights on the dash ? cel , etc...when was the last time you had plugs replaced ? plug wires checked ? pull your maf off and see if there is something blocking the sensor area , blow it out with compressed air , from both sides , reset your ecu by disconnecting the neg. terminal of the battery for 20 min. reconnect and try again . if all else fails take it to a dealer or reputable mechanic.Hope you get the problem solved , It is difficult to diagnose over the internet .
  14. http://www.evanscooling.com/main25.htm This is the coolant I and my wife use in our 93 es300 and 98 gs300 have since ownership and always will , totally waterless and good for 500,000 mi. Say what you want and use the product of youre choice , But this product has proven itself to us over the years , The temps go from the 90's to 40-50 below here in mn. this coolant does not freeze [ only gels ] at 50 below so startup is effortless and it boils at well over 325 degrees HOW HOT DOES YOUR COOLANT GET ? OK ENOUGH SAID . B)
  15. What are the biggest rotors that I can put on a 2000 is with 20" wheels ? and who makes them and where can I get them ? or 19" if that is as big as I can go . thanx in advance,
  16. No , They are different.Toyota has that figured out plus there are different sensors , speed , gas , temp , rpm .and the accesories. ;)
  17. The shimkit part # 04945-30140 and # 04946-30071 ;) and they are sold seperately. I bought mine at a lexus dealer. I put new shims on when new pads go on . It is worth it to keep the brakes in excellent working order . B)
  18. This clunking sound is the brake pads sliding in there caliper saddles , there is a shim kit on each wheel on the 98 gs and sometimes the shim kit gets worn and slides back and forth [ this is normal ] next time there is brake work done replace all the shims and this will suppress the clunking sound [ occasionally this happens to my gs also , I will be having my brakes done in september , I have the pads and shims in my trunk as I type ]. B)
  19. I have a 98 g3 with 84,000 and runs great !!! I keep it well maintained and never had any serious problems , Dealer replaced the cat under factory warranty so it cost me 0 , nada , nothing , and replaced a injector at 65,000 . But other than that a perfect auto. Shop around you should be able to get a better price . But at 25,000 it isn't that bad . [ One mans opinion ]
  20. I have the michelin pilot xgt v4's on my 98 gs300 and love the tire , and they aren't too bad in the winter here in minnesota .
  21. I am also quite interested in this [ magical ] website . I also would like to have extra keys. I will track this one .
  22. B) http://www.lextech.org/ should be able to take care of your problem . B)
  23. The connector runs down the passenger side of the spoiler and attaches to the passenger rear taillight , check all the connections. ;) I hope this helps .
  24. There should be double sided adhesive holding the led panel in place or 2 screws under the led panel [ probably painted red ] If it is the double sided tape it pulls off [ get a hair dryer and heat the panel , this should aid in the removal ] I'm trying my best to help you !!!
  25. Led's don't usually burn out , maybe it is the connection in the spoiler itself [ especially if there are several led's not lighting ]
