Last night on my way home from work this rsx pulls up next to me at the light and gives me the rev and let's go look , so I said to myself OK [ AFTER READING THIS POST I WAS CURIOUS ] We went for it and he got me off the line , by the time I hit 3rd he was in my rear view and we went up to 115 he never caught me after 3rd , I had the power on and the vsc off , 98 gs300 stock and well cared for new plugs and burning premium 92 [ My knees were shaking ,I never race but what the hell this post got me torqued . Pull it apart and check all the connections , Get a ohm meter and check for power to the socket and backtrack from there .

Try another lighter . Is the inside of the socket clean ? If the lighter is used alot you will get buildup of carbon inside the socket .

If you want to save your fluid drop it into a CLEAN pan and add it back into the fill tube minus the 1/2 quart . or siphon another 1/2 quart , I think you have to remove the undercover to get to the drain plug .

Personally a gs , my wife has a es and I have a gs300 I drive both and she drives the es , we both like the gs better , roomier, more power, feels really solid like a vault [ that is what the wife calls the gs ] They are two totally different cars . Happy shopping!!!!
