I would not try it that resistor changes the the fuel to air ratio that your engine runs at. you are tricking you computer to think you need a different air fuel ratio which could damage you engine. you got ripped on a 1 cent resistor forget about it ← Junk

For direct replacement bulbs, Silverstars are the best way to go. Going bluer will give you less light than your OEM bulbs. ← I switched to SILVERSTARS high and low beam and am very satisfied with the output compared to stock bulbs. B)
