  1. Locate the drain plug for the tranny and drop it like you would for a oil change, Let it drain and replace the plug and fill through the dipstick about 2 quarts. Differential is the same except for there is a fill plug that has to be loosened before the drain plug both are 10mm allen. remove the fill plug then remove the drain plug , Let it drain. replace the drain plug and you will have to pump the gear oil back in until it starts to overflow. Replace the fill plug and your done.

If the cds stuck in the clamper mechanism in play position you cant get it out until motor that has gone back is replaced. if just magazine stuck with all discs inside there is a manual release on top ot the magazine mechanism but you have to take off the top of the changer both silver metal and thinner black metal top. the 93s are all going bad. I would only recommend 95 96 changer for replacement. Let me know if this helps. ;)

  6. The only way to add navigation is through an aftermarket unit. The OEM version requires new cables and amplifier... CD changer optional. The aftermarket choices are fixed or portable. Alpine, Eclipse, Kenwood and Pioneer all make a fixed mount unit that goes in the dash. Otherwise you can pick up a portable unit that mounts to the windshield. ← You could put a 04 nav in, And the rear camera. You can watch movies while driving. The 05 nav doesn't even play movies at all, So the 04 has the most to offer seen as LEXUS went backwards with the 05 nav. Interested? I also have 05 nav if that is what you want.
  7. Definetly use the anti-squeal and only replace the shims if needed. The first time I changed my pads The shims were completely shot, So I always inspect them and replace as needed.

  10. If you would have searched you would have this fixed :chairshot: From another post: The noise is coming from the servo motor that moves the door for the "mode" button. This servo moves diverters to change from vent to floor, etc. - I popped the bottom panel off under the glove box. - I then removed the glove box assembly. 2 screws up high, 2 bolts down low. - With the key on engine off you can press the mode button and watch the servo move. Turn the key completely off. - Remove 3 screws and plug to take the assembly out. - Do not attempt to rotate the arm on the end of the servo. It engages w/ a worm gear. Turn it and you will break gears. - The servo is a snap together unit. Carefully take it apart w/ the arm side down.(so gears don't fall out) - inside you will see multiple whiper fingers that make contact w/ a gear. Carefully clean these w/ alcohol and a cotton swab. - Redistribute the contact grease on the whiper pad w/ a clean finger (any oil or lotions on skin will mix w/ the grease and make the copper contacts corrode. - Carefully snap unit back together. - Clean contacts on the outer part of servo also w/ alcohal. The other option is to have Lexus diagnose this for you and hit you for $160 for the part plus ~ an hour or 2 labor. So far the noise is gone and the HVAC system works properly. I will post any updates if the problem comes back. I think the problem was caused by crusty contacts in the servo that were creating a poor signal back to the computer that controls it.

  12. The only way that works is if the car is slammed and the tires are tucked into the wheelwell so the top of the fender covers the top of the tire. Only for show though..... I remember when MOONS were the hot thing, There kind of like the bluejeans of wheels. There never IN and never OUT.

  14. Do you want to pull out the comlete dash??? Or just the cluster? The guage trim pulls off and there are 4 screws that hold the guage cluster. The topic title suggests that you want to remove the complete dash.

  16. sc_toy, The 12 disc changers always break, They are made by Fujitsu not Pioneer and they always fail. The SC guys get a pioneer 6 disc. Check your email.

  20. That's about the same as my 06 430. The trip computer shows "miles to empty"...and when I'm at "0"...and fill-up..It takes about 15 gallons. I wish this were more accurate. ← I think this is by design so when your low fuel light comes on you have about 100 miles or so to get petro.

  24. The cd insert trays for the magazine are $3.00 apiece shipped for a 91 LS. How many? Just trying to help out.
  25. Actually it is one of the easiest nav installs there is. And it is all plug and play.
