I think automobile mfg's should have easily accesable removable filters on all of the fluids. Unfortunatley this will probably never happen. You should have no problem with your nice new filter and you did the right thing. GOOD FOR YOU

lenore, I have been following this thread and I beleive that there would be no loss of pressure in the system , If there was any pressure loss it would be +/- a pound or two at best which I'm sure is well within factory specs. Low pressure systems have a lot of tolerence leway.

ArmyofOne, I understand what you mean about the salt vs. sand , Here in minnesalta, Salt is all that's used here on the roads in winter. Those maintenance costs are our tax dollars so if there is a way to save $ That's good. 230k on a corsica is unheard of got to be a hunk of junk. Your new car has probably seen enough salt in it's life and it wouldn't make any difference if it saw more. I see what you mean about the Hyundai looking tail lights in the rear end, but in person, there is no mistaking the two, the Quattroporte has a really great presence. I've only seen one, but it's made quite an impression! Take a look at their website, they are customizeable in nearly every way...you pick the interior colors for the seats, headliner, steering wheel, carpet, seat piping, trim, and steering wheel wood finish, not to mention all of the packages/options available! Outside, you pick the paint color, caliper color, and rims. Take a look at the Quattroporte website to see all of the pictures and options. I think its luxury is on par with the competition, but the Quattroporte has one over the competiton, everyone and their brother isn't driving them! lol B) ← Go drive the MASERATI and you will experience a new level of luxury, Speed and control. Does anyone know how to repair or replace the rear window defroster on a 98 GS.? Some of the bars that heat up are failing. Is there a repair kit available? Or do I have to replace the whole back window? I have full glass coverage. Thanx in advance.
