    Pt Cruisers?

Fair enough.....& yes they have improved. Still to this day they are nowhere near the Japanese brands however in terms of quality & reliability......Chrysler has lot's of work still to do. B) You do know the pt is built on a neon frame !!!! I personally would never have one in my garage :chairshot: , So if my wifey wanted a pt she would have to build a garage off site to accomidate her choice of vehicle.
  10. Entertaining, NO Patriotic, ? A soldier follows orders ( including bombing/killing of all types ) to complete a mission and earns a MOH. Is that patriotic ?

  14. Well Boy's we have another nutcase on our hands and he's testing his missles and our patience. Read on : Iran's military said Friday it successfully test-fired a missile not detectable by radar that can use multiple warheads to hit several targets simultaneously, a development that raised concerns in the United States and Israel. The Fajr-3, which means "victory" in Farsi, can reach Israel and U.S. bases in the Middle East, Iranian state media indicated. The announcement of the test-firing is likely to stoke regional tensions and feed suspicion about Tehran's military intentions and nuclear ambitions. "I think it demonstrates that Iran has a very active and aggressive military program under way," State Department deputy spokesman Adam Ereli said in Washington. "I think Iran's military posture, military development effort, is of concern to the international community." Gen. Hossein Salami, the air force chief of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards, did not specify the missile's range, saying how far it can travel depends on the weight of its warheads. But state-run television described the weapon as "ballistic" _ suggesting it is of comparable range to Iran's existing ballistic rocket, which can travel about 1,200 miles and reach arch-foe Israel and U.S. bases in Iraq and the Persian Gulf region. "Today, a remarkable goal of the Islamic Republic of Iran's defense forces was realized with the successful test-firing of a new missile with greater technical and tactical capabilities than those previously produced," Salami said on television, which showed a brief clip of the missile's launch. "It can avoid anti-missile missiles and strike the target," the general said. He said the missile would carry a multiple warhead, and each warhead would be capable of hitting its target precisely. "This news causes much concern, and that concern is shared by many countries in the international community, about Iran's aggressive nuclear weapons program and her parallel efforts to develop delivery systems, both in the field of ballistic missiles and cruise missiles," said Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Mark Regev. "The combination of extremist jihadist ideology, together with nuclear weapons and delivery systems, is a combination that no one in the international community can be complacent about," Regev said. Yossi Alpher, an Israeli consultant on the Mideast peace process, said the news "escalates the arms race between Iran and all those who are concerned about Iran's aggressive intentions and nuclear potential." "Clearly it's escalation, and also an attempt by Iran to flex its muscles as it goes into a new phase of the diplomatic struggle with the U.N. Security Council." Andy Oppenheimer, a weapons expert at Jane's Information Group, said the missile test could be an indication that Iran has MIRV capability. MIRV refers to multiple independently targetable re-entry vehicles, which are intercontinental ballistic missiles with several warheads, each of which could be directed to a different target. "From the description, it could be a MIRV. If you are saying that from a single missile, separate warheads can be independently targeted then yes, this is significant," he said. "But we don't know how accurate the Iranians are able to make their missiles yet, and this is a crucial point," Oppenheimer said. "If the missile is adaptable for nuclear warheads, then they are well on the way," he added. "But they have not made a nuclear warhead yet. The current estimates are it could take five years." Iran's existing ballistic rocket is called Shahab-3, which means "shooting star." It is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. Israel and the United States have jointly developed the Arrow anti-ballistic missile system in response to the Shahab-3. Iran launched an arms development program during its 1980-88 war with Iraq to compensate for a U.S. weapons embargo. Since 1992, Iran has produced its own tanks, armored personnel carriers, missiles and a fighter plane. Last year, former Defense Minister Ali Shamkhani said Tehran had successfully tested a solid fuel motor for the Shahab-3, a technological breakthrough in Iran's military. Salami, the Revolutionary Guards general, said Friday the Iranian-made missile was test-fired as large military maneuvers began in the Persian Gulf and the Arabian Sea. The maneuvers are to last a week and will involve 17,000 Revolutionary Guards as well as boats, fighter jets and helicopter gunships. The tests come amid growing concern over Iran's nuclear program. The United States and its allies believe Iran is seeking to develop nuclear weapons, but Tehran denies that, saying its nuclear program is for generating electricity. The U.N. Security Council is demanding that Iran halt its uranium enrichment activities. But an Iranian envoy said its activities are "not reversible." I say we go in covertly and permanently disarm . You know what I mean.
  15. This thread and others like it make me want to discontinue participation on this forum. Members that have to go back and forth " I know more than you do kind of crap " :chairshot: Really isn't neccesary.
  16. Thanks for the clarification on the oil. As far as the service, I'll spare you the long version, but in a nut shell: lack of communciations (I had to call to get updates as opposed to the service advisor calling me); misinformation given by the service advisor; showing up to pick up car and having to wait almost an hour and a half before I could leave (car and paperwork weren't ready) - keep in mind that the service advisor knew what time I was going to get there, told me the car was washed and ready, and should have had time to finalize the paperwork...when I got there I find out he's on lunch (and I arrived right when I told him that I would); one problem (rattles) that he said were addressed turned out not to have been addressed; they had the car for 4 days, and I'm going to have to bring it back in on Monday of next week so that they can finish it (I was tired of driving the loaner car and wanted mine back) I know I have high expectations, but I expect better communications and coordination, and for what my service advisor tells me to be verified factual information. Hopefully the service experience will be better next time. As far as service goes, In general the service industry is getting very lazy ( although there are a few good eggs out there ) Some will tell you they had a wonderful life changing experience and " life is good " Then there is the below average service that is in every business. My expectations are also very high ( where they should be ) and I won't settle for anything else. I would submit a writen complaint to the service manager personally. I am in the service industry although it is not automotive never the less SERVICE IS SERVICE and the job has got to be done right the first time. I also have and hold very high standards to myself and apply that to my work and the results are well worth it. I guess some put the $ first and the customer wherever they fall. My .02 cents. And no, I will not reply to this thread.
  17. My only pet peeve is that when I take either one of my lex out for a drive I just want to drive and drive and drive. :D :D :D B) Then when I am not home ( out driving ) the wifey has a pet peeve. :D Really, My pet peeve is the cup holder in the 98 g3. My cure for it is I use two can/bottle insulaters that fit in the rectangle space snugly, Water bottles/soft drink cans and my insulated coffee mug fits in there perfectly. ;)
  18. I have a 98 G3 and never had a problem with any cd/ cd-r/ cd-rw that I have burned. Some people claim they don't work and some have no problems. ??? Go figure....................

  22. 8" sub, Yes there is a amp for the sub in the trunk, You will have to customize the mount if you make any changes. You can remove the current amp and leave it as a port for a larger sub mounted in the trunk. Good Luck
  23. I came across this product recently, it might work better. Kind of expensive at $27.50 a pair though.......... LS Clear Bra
  24. Go get yourself 8 qt's of toyota t4 tranny fluid, Drop what you have ( 2 qt's ) run the car 100 mi. then repeat this process 3 more times, Your fluid should run pretty clean, Then drop it every time you change your oil. I wouldn't get a flush, I don't care what other members say about it. Just stay with a regular maintenance schedule and you will be alright.
