  1. Wow! I never put too much faith in CR anyway. They need to stick with vacuum cleaners and can openers. As you know, I posted when I first got my car about all the bad reviews it had received over the years. I really don't understand. Lexus is top in quality year after year. Paul, as we say on NICO, Infinity is forever, Infiniti is a car. ;)
  2. Awesome! Looks great. I miss my show car. :cries: Maybe I will get this car show-worthy someday. My problem is that I don't keep a car long enough for me to get enjoyment out of a lot of expensive mods.
  3. Nice! You must be a lot younger than me. My list started in the '70's My favorite by far was my '95 Z28. I really don't know where to head next. I guess I have to wait and see where Lexus goes with a coupe. I really think for my next car I might want American muscle again. I sure am enjoying getting 24.5 mpg city though. Right now I am just loving what I have.
  4. David is always trying to get things started. I thought this might be fun. I made a list of all the cars I have owned. Thought it might be interesting to see your journey from your "beginner" car to your Lexus. Here we go..... ’73 Grand Prix (455) ’76 Camaro ’78 Challenger ’77 Datsun 280Z ’80 Mazda 626 ‘83 Chevy S10 Blazer ’86 Camaro ’88 Grand Am ’90 Chevy Cavalier Z24 (was stolen) ’91 Chevy Cavalier Z24 ’93 Camaro ’95 Camaro Z28 (kept for 17 years) ’01 WS6 Trans Am ’03 Ford Explorer SporTrac (did not like. got rid of it quick) ’03 Honda S2000 ’08 Infiniti G37 Coupe ’10 Nissan 370Z ’13 Lexus IS250C
  5. Wow! Great work. I love a black car but I am way to anal to own one.
  6. Wow David. I have always loved a good car movie. I can't think of any with a Lexus in it. I'll have to think about it.
  7. Nobody washes my baby but me. How deep are the scratches? Can you feel it with your fingernail? Do you think you could get them out with a scratch remover? NuFinish makes a great one.
  8. Well, if they are going to keep making the cars faster and have more distractions, they have to do something. People around here are awful!
  9. It would be nice if they could make drivers safer. ;)
  10. If I owned a vehicle that I thought was a piece of crap, I would go trade it in on something else. I think Toyota/Lexus quality has proved itself year after year.
  11. Get this one. It is clear so it doesn't look real ugly in the garage, it is soft so it absorbs impact and it comes with suction cups so you can stick it to the side of your car. I just removed the suction cups and nailed it to my wall. Go to Amazon and paste this in the search box. If I do a link it brings up my personal data. Auto Care Products Inc 20040 Park Smart Stick-On Door Guard, ClearI'll snap a pic of Lexie and Honey Badger together in the garage.
  12. My car sits next to my hubby's 2011 Ford F-150 Sport. It is the workhorse that does all the driving and carrying things so my sweet baby can lead the life of luxury. We have had it less than 2 years and already have 70k miles on it. I have always been blessed to have a husband that would drive the family truckster and let me have the sports car. On the wall next to my car I have a cool little plastic bumper that I bought off of Amazon to protect my door edge because his truck is a garage hog. ;)
  13. Me no like. Too round. I like sharp crisp lines.
  14. I was all prepared to remove my IS250C and plasti-dip my Lexus "L" gray and found out that there are holes behind the emblems. Eek! Glad I found out before hand. I haven't decided what I want to do now. I hate all that chrome crap on my car when everything else is gray. Arrrrrrrrrg! You might want to find out about holes before you do anything.
  15. 450 hp. Whoooo hooo. I bet that beast will cost a fortune.
  16. It is that helpless feeling of losing it and not being able to get it back that is just awful.
  17. She probably dreamed that someone bought her that didn't wash her and park her far away from all the other cars and snuck into the bedroom to make sure I was still there. ;) I once had a guy tell me that when he died he wanted to come back as one of my cars.
  18. I would doubt that any badging would require holes drilled in the car. I think that went out in the 60's. My 250 is slow compared to the other cars I have owned in my life but not to the point you have trouble passing anybody or merging onto a freeway. I have never had any problem with that. I use 89 Octane and average 24/25 MPG, almost totally stop and go city driving. Not bad at all.
  19. They could have at least used a Hello Kitty or Spiderman Band-Aid.
  20. Last night I had a dream that I had traded my beloved Lexie in for a Camaro!!!!! It wasn't like the new ones though, it was like a '68 which is my favorite Camaro. Once I got the car and started driving it, I realized that it didn't even have a sunroof and there was no place to plug my iPod in. I was just sick. I kept thinking of what I could do to get my car back. It was totally real. My hubby and my children were in it. The first thing I did when I woke up this morning was go check my garage. Thank the good Lord....Lexie is safe and sound where she belongs.
  21. Ooh....I gave my service advisor STRICT instructions for them to NOT wash my car. Nobody touches my car but me. Makes me nervous enough them driving it and working under the hood.
  22. Great! Welcome. Post a pic if you get a chance.
  23. Everything Chevrolet makes except the Corvette and Camaro has the same front end. Paul, I don't even look at GM products anymore. At one time in my driveway I had a Grand Am, Z28 Camaro, WS-6 Trans Am and a Corvette. Now all of these cars were new. They were all POS. We put 4 power window motors in the 'Vette, one in the TA and 2 in the GA. The 'Vette couldn't sit for more than 4 days and crank. They were just all junk...fast but junk. I bought my Honda next and never went back to a GM product. I would really love a 'Vette, but just can't make myself spend that kind of $$$$ for a car with so many mechanical issues and GM won't do anything about them. My last 4 cars have been Japanese and I don't know if I will ever own anything else.
