  1. Teeheehee....I'm sure I know the scene and I'm sure it involved a Challenger. Some of the Fast and Furious series have some good chase scenes, fake but entertaining. Last night in the 'Vette, it would show the speedometer going like 180, then show the guy downshifting. Really?!?! at 180? And then, like in a F&F movie, they show them going in reverse at a high rate of speed. That ain't happening!!
  2. I ordered the DVD. We live in the boonies and our internet is so slow we got frustrated trying to stream. We just get 3 DVDs at a time. Oh yeah....Bullit was a classic for sure. The part of Gone in 60 Seconds where Nicholas Cage was driving Elenore was great too. I read that he did some of that driving himself.
  3. It has been a while since I have seen a movie with a really great car chase scene in it. Last night I had Neflixed The Last Stand with Arnold Schwarzenegger. At the end there was a chase scene of him and the bad guy driving a ZL1 Camaro and a ZR1 Corvette through a cornfield. It was awesome. Movie was pretty good too! Anybody else with some good car chase scenes?
  4. Zaino....BAR NONE! http://www.zainostore.com/ Once you use this, especially on a dark car, you will never use anything else. Yes, it is expensive, but so is your car. This is what my Camaro looked like with it's 17 year old GM paint job thanks to multiple coats of Zaino.
  5. So I wouldn't have to read my owners manual. ;) J/K, I wanted to be able to chat with others that love thier Lexus like I love mine. I have learned some good stuff, and had a few laughs.
  6. That is exactly what I want. Where can I get one? I don't read Japanese!!
  7. Yup, heavy metal...very loud. I need to load some CDs into my player. I only listen to my iPod.
  8. Audiophile and these systems just don't seem to go hand in hand. I'm really upset with the distortion I'm getting out of mine. The system in my G37 was waaaaaaaaaaaaay better. Instead of 18 little bitty speakers, I don't know why they didn't just put 6 real good ones. My car is only 3 months old. I have a long way to go before I'm going to let anybody tinker with it. Good luck. Let me know what you do.
  9. Love it!!!! Nice! Welcome. I LOVE your username. Teeheehee.......
  10. I'm still just in the thinking stage. I have the dark rims and the dark grill. I need some dark on the back.
  11. Welcome!!! After talking to us for a while, you might want to make the switch. ;) I have only had mine since 4/11 and loving every inch of it.
  12. Looks good. Great job. Looks much better than the gold. People don't realize what a little attention to detail can do for a vehicle. There is a guy on Ebay that sells little carbon fibre looking inserts that go in the emblem. I'll find you a pic when I get a chance. I'm not much of a fan of CF, but I saw a Lexus with them today on my way to work. It actually looked pretty sharp. Now I have to decide which way I want to go.
  13. He can drive my Lexus ANY TIME HE WANTS!!! I agree with Chris. Couldn't they have found someplace without a sandstorm??
  14. Please post a pic. I have been thinking about debadging my "IS250C" and replacing my chrome Lexus emblem with a dark pearl chrome one. I think it would go so good with my dark rims. I have found a guy on Ebay that sells the whole set of emblems, but all I want is the Lexus emblem. The backend of my car is too busy for all that stuff.
  15. :D I love it here. I get tickled at the reviews people will post on Amazon. Half of the people will hate an item and half of the people will love it. Really?!?!?! Are we talking about the same item here??? I still have mixed reviews about the '14 IS front end. I liked it in person. I still love the lines of mine though. So smooth and sleek. To me, a lot of the cars out there now just look like they have a big mouth!!!!
  16. Thanks! I really have been. It has been unusually cool and low humidity this summer. I have it down most of the time. It is kinda like a rolling tanning bed. ;)
  17. Ouch! That kinda stings hearing my $50k IS called an entry model.
  18. Beautiful pics! I couldn't get all of them to upload, but the ones that did are just breathtaking!!! I also thank you for your service and am so sorry that you were in such a horrible accident and lost some of your buddies. So sad.
  19. Very interesting! I'm sure hoping that this car is going to hold it's value well. I have a strange outlook on cars and so far it has served me well. I buy popular sports models (G37, S2000, 370Z now my IS). I am very anal about my cars and they are near perfect when I get ready to trade it in. I drive a car about 3 years. I don't pay for repairs and I don't buy tires. I change oil and rotate/balance tires. I do all my detailing and I'm very good at it. Usually people want my car. When I bought my Z, I could tell that the dealership wanted my G. I got a really good deal. I'm hoping I will do as well on this car. I kept my Z28 for 17 years. It still looked like it could sit on a showroom floor. I paid $19k for it new and sold it for $9k. Never did a major repair, just go fast goodies and rims and such.
