  1. Goldplater, what a stunning car!! :o :D I love the beige paint and gold emblems(and tips, etc.)! What kind of rims are you getting?
  2. Which dealer are you working with?
  3. Random misfire is usually an igniton problem. I had "random misfire" on my LS, and new plugs and wires saved the day. ;)
  4. Thanks for the kind words and prayers everyone. You all are wonderful! :D I am doing much better now. Thanks again to everyone! Jill, congrats on the dobe! You need to take a pic of him for us! I don't think I need to tell you that they are wonderful dogs! When we got Annie(our dobe), Rosey was 8. Rosey didn't like her at all at first. But, she soon warmed up to Annie, and they became best buddies for the next 6 years. Annie was terribly jealous of Rosey, but underneath the competition, they were good friends. So much so infact, we are taking Annie to the vet on monday because she has been depressed ever since Rosey died. She just mopes around the house lethargically, and she doesn't even play with her toys or eat much which is odd for our nonslim 90+lbs. dobe. I don't know what the vet will do, but I think she needs time. Good luck with raising Slim and getting Buddy to accept him! I'm sure it'll work out fine. :D I know what you are saying about the little dog being boss; Rosey was the same way(save the past year or two when her health was declining)-some how Annie knew that Rosey was the boss eventhough she weighed 4x more than her. When Annie was a puppy, we bought her cheap baby blankets that she nurses on(see pic on first page), and as it turned out, she didn't chew up a single thing in the house. :D
  5. Shouldn't the EGR should give you a check engine light also? My ES had a nasty EGR gremlin that nearly drove me insane, and all the while the check engine light was on. The ES is OBDII though. Newlexusparts.com has the EGR valve for $160--not too bad, but who knows how long installation takes @ $100/hour?? I'm just like you...231.7k miles, and she still runs like a clock. I use Mobile 1 super syn with no problems(leaks or other oil consumption) at all, and I don't plan on changing brands or adding anything to the oil. Why mess with success?? :D
  6. That is indeed very helpful! Thank you! Those are very, very nice words. It's always nice to be around such wonderful people at a time like this.
  7. It unlocks and locks the doors. :D
  8. My brake light malfucnction light came on several days ago. I found the burnt bulb, and replaced it. I tested the light, and it lights up fine. However, my dash indicator light is still on(which drives me crazy). I've done a complete check of all the lights by having someone sit in my car and work the brakes, headlights, blinkers, etc. Everything lit up fine, but the dash indicator is still on. Any thoughts??
  9. I'm afraid Wednesday the 14th was a very tragic day for me. Rosey, our Boston, passed away to natural causes. She looked very peaceful and relaxed after she left. She was a teriffic dog, friend, campanion; we miss her like hell and, and it's only been 2 days. Hopefully, this will get easier to cope with as time passes. Rosey lived 14 fufilling and happy years with us. Dogs are like little people with their own personalities and identities, and above all, they truely define unconditional love and loyalty. We had her creamated, so we can always keep her with us. Rest in peace Rosey.
  10. The 3rd brake light snaps out of place from inside the LS. I find the easiest way is to get in the back seat to remove it. Many people seem to have trouble with this; I get in the back, and lift it up slightly and toward the front of the car, and it comes out without a problem. I can't help you with the gold grill, but I'll give my $.02 as a fellow Cashmere owner with gold emblems. lol On my beige ES300, I switched the silver emblems for the gold ones, and I couldn't be any happier with the switch. :D The silver emblems seem to blend in on the beige car too well. The gold emblems accent them in a very subtle and classy fashion. B) Lextasy(the LOC sponsor) has the clear tail lights. VMF, has them, but I think he found them somewhere for a better price. I'll let him fill in from here with the how much and where!
  11. Welcome to the club! :D Tell us about the '90 you're buying. ECT PWR??? Air suspension switches?? The ECT PWR puts the tranny into a sport type mode-it holds gears, shifts firmer, etc. The air ride in the '90 has height control as well as sport and comfort modes(I believe). They do exactly what they sound like: height control raises and lowers the car(I think about an inch) while sport firms up the ride and comfort softens it up. Hope this helps!
  12. Why would you consider selling the car after you have done that much work to it? New tranny, struts, brakes, timing belt, etc., keep it!!! :D Why do you want to sell it? I think the $8,450 number that Steve found is a realistic figure. I've seen a few ES's locally with 110k miles and an asking price of only $7500; we have a lot of Lexi available down here(I suppose that's why it's so cheap.). Check your classified ads to see what other ES's in similar conditions and mileage ranges are going for in your area. ;)
  13. Register at Lexus.com under the owners tab, and they will send you an owner's manual free of charge. ;) For the repair manuals, your best bet will be to comb ebay. If you want the real paper bound editions(non $20 CD), expect to pay north of $100. I paid about $150(ouch!) for a brand new set for my '95.
  14. I'd pay a fee...it's going to a great cause, and the membership card would be soooo cool!!! B) How about that...the chat room already existed! I just signed up. Now, we just need to get some people chatting. I meant everything I said about the LOC Steve! As myLS430 says, "Viva LOC!" :D
  15. It would be great if online LOC members could get into a chat room and talk about anything-Lexus, tv, anything! I don't know how yall could arrange them....maybe by Lexus models and a general room for misc. topics and some private rooms that just you and your buddy's can get into? Admin, is this feasible? Keep up the great work in this club, admin, mods, management, etc.! LOC is simply phenominal! This club truely send the Lexus experience to another level that sadly very few people in the Lexus family get to experience(I think there's about 10k members so far!). :D :D I'm a member for life! B) Best regards, Blake
  16. Here ya go '90(nice machine btw B) ),
  17. No need to log in! Just click the "admin options" box, and you'll see an add photos option. ;) No prob. Mark! B)
  18. Me too!! I looked at the beautiful scenery in the pics, and I thought to myself that I had to go to that one! Then, I read the date and I :cries: You guys have a great time out there; hopefully, I'll make the next one!
  19. Not a problem!....I'm glad to help! :D
  20. Luckily, I saved Park Place Lexus's website(newlexusparts.com), so here is the link: https://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/ind...=20&catalogid=1
  21. Mark and '90, you need to store the pics in the gallery and then copy the url of the pic itself(you get this by right clicking--properties--then copy the url) into an "IMG" tag(that you see below the font type and everything). Example- http://us.lexusownersclub.com/albums/LS/DSC00014.jpg' alt='DSC00014.jpg'>
  22. Yes, it does. I'm not talking about the type of fluid but the level. If the brake fluid is low the parking brake light will come on until it is at the proper level(thanks, Mark ;) ).
  23. Do you have enough brake fluid in the reservoir?
  24. 1995 LS400 options: leather, CD changer, moonroof, wheel locks, and memory seats. Outside: Inside: The heart of the beast: :D My pride and joy(you can see my neighbors '96 ES in the background!): 93, I think it must be something with the P72 because my seat looks the same way. ;) I agree; what a great thread! :D I love seeing what everyone's cars look like!
  25. Rhino ramps are the best! Agent 99, recommended them to me, and I love them! :D I got mine at Walmart for about $20(8k pound ratings. They also have 12k pound rating for more $$). These are low profile ramps, so the LS has no problem getting on them.
