  1. I don't have that problem in mine. Must be something broken or missing in yours.
  2. Just in case someone else is looking for some place to get the Lexus radio or CD fixed. LEXUS Radio repaired
  3. I use the ECT switch a couple of times. After each use I could smell hot trany fluid. I stopped using it.
  4. Might be one of the relays is not making good contact. I has something like your problem with the daylite driving lights. tapping on the several relays in the front near the radiator cleared it up and hasn't returned. At least it's cheep to try.
  5. Some reported that the window was going up too far and causing the frame to flex just enough to cause the wind noise. Lowering it a bit made it go away. Make the dealer adjust the up limit on that window.
  6. This should be a Ford dealer problem. Take it back and make them fix it. They should have done that before they tried to sell it. Tell them you require at least one master key. Don't take no for an answer.
  7. Depends on what year you have. 2001 is not adjustable. I have to use the double lock on the remote to shut them off.
  8. It may also just be the A/C clutch bearings. This happened to me on a different truck (dodge dakota). I thought it would need a new compressor. The first place I took it wanted to charge for the whole thing. Went to a different shop and the guy told me since it was only the clutch on the unit he could replace it. Now I have no idea if the RX 300 A/C clutch is the same but it would be cheaper if it can be replaced.
  9. 2001 Rx-300 daytime running lights (DRL) decided to stop working. Hight beams worked fine and parking brake is off. At first I thought it might be the switch in the parking brake since I hardly ever use it. While checking the #1 fuse (which was fine) I decided to tap on the relays in the same box and the DRL's decided to start working again. I pulled all three relays and cleaned the contacts and put them back in. DRL's have been working fine since. I'm not sure exactly which relay was stuck, but it's something else to try before you take it to the dealer if you are having the same problem.
  10. Read the information at this link http://shopping.yahoo.com/premium/consumer...tml?id=95700426 Where ever yo go to buy your battery thay will have a list with the recomened size group and CCA rating. It doesnt hurt to have a higher CCA rating but unless you live in an extream climate you wont need it. More CCA means more plates, more weight and higher cost.
  11. You really need to do a search on this subject. Lots of info that has been discussed. For a start... http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...7016&hl=trailer
  12. I did some testing in the snow last winter. (playing) I thought it was gonna be more of a "send the power to the wheel that has traction. I punched the gas as I was turning right at the corner. That got the rear end sliding out to the left. I tried to keep on the gas to continue the slide. It wouldn't let me. It does start beeping. It reduced the power and actually applied the break to the left front wheel and got me pointed strait again. Happens in a split second.
  13. Check here. http://www.streetkeys.com/
  14. Also depends if it's a FWD or AWD, all highway or all city or combo of both. As low as 16 mpg and as high as 25 mpg. You can do the math.
  15. I go with the rotors too. You can have them turned at least once to true them. $15-$20 each. You could rotate the tires front to back and either confirm or elimanate tire problems. Keith
  16. I read that Sprint had disabled full Bluetooth functionality on the TRE 650, but had announced plans to enable them in future releases. That was back in October 2004. Is yours fully functional? And can you upload phone numbers to the RX 400h? ← Between yesterday and today, the SPH-A940 and SPH-V7400 was posted (Along with a GSM phone and a SCH-720). Checking out the A940, it listed OBEX as part of its profiles. So unlike the LG, this phone was qualified with OBEX. Let's hope Sprint leaves it as it is... (OBEX allows you to transfer files (phonebook?).
  17. If you don't buy it. Tell ME where it is and I will buy it!
  18. Maybe a plastic coverd wire with loops on each end. If it was made to the correct length and attached to the door and the frame. this would teather the door from entending all the way up. Something like what is on the tailgate of a pickup. Wouldn't have to be that heavy duty to limit the door travel.
  19. I have this same problem with the cd changer in my 92 es300. Does any one have any ideas? ← This is from ebay. "Is your Lexus indash CD changer not working properly?" Lexus radio/CD repair and replacement. You can email him for specifics. I've never purchesed from him but I've saved the links just in case. Keith
  20. Try opening it with the remote by holding down the unlock button for a several seconds. This might at least tell you it's not a fuse and may be just the switch. Keith
  21. Something else I found Click Here The Warranty Act also applies to used vehicles that are still under a manufacturer's new car warranty. When a used car covered by a new car warranty is sold, any remaining time left in the warranty protects the car's new owner. The law covers "certified" used cars (autos with quality guarantees sold by dealers or through manufacturers' programs), resold lemons (defective vehicles that are bought back by manufacturers or dealers and then resold) and autos covered by extended service contracts. By California law, the first time a lemon buyback is resold at the retail level, it must have one-year factory warranty to cover defects and cannot legally be sold "as is." The law requires that the car's title state that it is a "lemon law buyback" and the car must have a "lemon" sticker on the door jamb. When lemon buybacks are illegally sold "as is," the buyer still has rights under the Lemon Law.
  22. A vehicle that was not purchesed new may or may not be covered. I suggest you read this link and then do a search for lemon law California and find a lawer. Lots of them give free consutations. California Lemon Law This one a little easier to read. Lemon Law
  23. Went to the dealer today and was informed that the 1999-2002 RX-300 does not have the capability to program c-best settings. I wanted to change the lock and unlock and change the head lights to stay on only for 15 seconds vs. 30. They said it's not programable. I was shocked. Keith
