  1. I'd appreciate any feedback from new 2010 RX350 owners. I lease a 2007 RX400H, lease expires in Dec '09; I received a promotion from LFS to waive the last three months payments if I trade up to a new Lexus by month's end. I'm reluctant to get a new vehicle the first year of a new model, especially since the RX platform is stand alone vs. previous years when is was based on the Camry platform. I was thinking of extending my lease another year as I love the 400H. Though I've had no issues with the last 4 leased vehicles (GS 300, RX 300, RX 330 & RX 400H) none were the first of new model years. Thanks for any input.
  2. I attended the preview 2 weeks ago and was unimpressed with the new rx450h styling. The nav system/climate control will take both your eyes off the road as you try to maneuver the cursor on the display screen, which is set deep in the dash. the vehicle was a disappointment. It makes my 2007 RX400h look like a keeper as I spring for the coastale ultimate 3 nav override.
  3. Try a google search for a dvd nav override for your vehicle, I found one on craig's list will let you know how it works
  4. 2007 RX400h 14k miles zero mechanical problems, 24 mpg 93 octane (highway speed 70-75 reduces the mileage but keeps the buses on the GS parkway off my rear bumper) only issue is the nav system grey out. today received an email about a replacement dvd available which will provide the override bypass function. will let you know if I get it. :whistles:
  5. Duh my mistake! when syncing (or pairing) an iphone after giving your phone a name in the nav screen go to iphone settings, bluetooth, turn on or enable bluetooth when you see the phone's name on your iphone screen under devices touch the name, a new screen appears, enter 1111 and the phone will pair (sync) with the vehicle's blue tooth system.
  6. Has anyone had issues syncing an iphone to the RX400h blue tooth? I was able to sync my LG8300 but cannot get the iphone to sync. ;)
  7. Just checked...Thanks! an answer to the lexus arrogance about the ver 6.1 nav issues could be the new 2008 BMW diesel x5; they seem to be following detroit's lead of not listening to their customers. They send form letters in answer to written complaints instead of addressing the issue for current, not future owners. The 400h is my 4th lexus and though I do enjoy it I don't need the aggrevation the nav system gives. :cries:
  8. both are lexus weak points, incompetent dishonest dealers and cheap american tires, change both. :chairshot:
  9. There must be someone somewhere who knows Denso's override code, it would be a great item for ebay.
  10. got my RX 400h last Dec, 5500 miles and average is 23.7 mpg, 30 % is to & from station and around town, balance is highway at 65-70 mph. still much better than the RX 330 and we feel we are doing something "green"
  11. He is right, the entire nav system is second rate, like something detroit would offer. The RX400h will be my last Lexus due to disappointment with the nav system. The voice recognition doesn't recognize English very well and is dangerous; when trying to get it to give the correct response the driver's focus is on the system not the road. While driving one can play with the nav map, look at trip info, gasoline consumption, battery charge and other useless info, but try or have your passenger try to enter a destination or phone number while moving and it is grayed out. If the lawyers were so worried about the nav destinations or phone numbers causing accidents what about the rest of the system? The need to "agree" each time the vehicle is started is also another reason to look elsewhere. Lexus must either provide all version 6 nav system owners with the unlock code or watch their sales decline. Ed
  12. Other than burning a dual layer DVD has anyone found another way to disable the nav system lockout for ver 6.1 on the 2007 RX400h? I cannot believe that 1. it doesn't exist and 2. that someone has not been able to find it.
