yep thats the timing belt!be glad your engine isnt one of those interference types because then you would be replacing the whole motor!

i guess thats a good price as long as its guarenteed to work!its as simple as six screws to install.just remove the 2 top screws on top of the cluster then pull that black peice out then unscrew the four screws holding in the cluster and pull out the 3 clips and thats it!go for it if its guarenteed to work! :D

yea it shouldnt go into fourth when you just hit the brake and only slow down 10mph.you might have something wrong with it and i would get it checked. ;)

the camery is totally different.as for the speedo you will need to replace it.try ebay or you might get lucky at a junk yard.if you have to buy it new it will cost like 800 bucks or more! :D

let me guess.you had to turn the key more then once on and off right.i posted this in a earlier thread.i think its on off on off for programming.heres a few more in case you ever need them. reprogram mode on off 2 times(witch you did to program the remote) confirmation mode ignition switch on-off 3 times erase mode on off 5 times :D

even the older es 300 kicks dirt up.also any of you with stock rims ever feel like you were going to hydroplain when hitting a decent puddle? before i put the rims on my car i felt it and also my freinds es does the same thing in the rain when hitting a good puddle. feels like your going to lose control of the car for a second or two. :snoooorrrtttt:

im sure a body shop might be able to fill it in and paint it for cheaper then a new bumper!i would just out a new half plate and save your money though! :D

I do apologize for saying that bbsal, it wasn't how I actually feel I assure you. I was simply very, very angry and even a little bit hurt and the insinuation that we're here for the purposes of our own profit. The members are the backbone of the site. Without you all here posting and helping people, then the site isn't anything worth getting passionate about. However, you all don't commonly go around expecting to be entitled to financial statements. That expectation is beyond over the top. What got me so angry and brought that comment out was Chris' apparent feeling that we owed him something like financial statements, which we obviously don't. He got ahead of himself and it made me angry, I apologize. The whole point of me being as involved with this site as I am is because I've been treated unfairly on other sites, and treated as if I as a member weren't important. I work hard here to make a better place for us Lexus owners. are you sure its a valet key?it shouldnt open the trunk or glove box!maybe its like a key i have that is just a original but without the remote for the alarm.it cant be a valet if it opens the trunk. :D

No, I'm not an insurance agent. The fact is that what you're proposing is lying and cheating. The reason I get upset about it is that I'm paying for part of your insurance. I used to live in Philadelphia and the state insurance commission estimated that my insurance rates were about 50% higher than they should be - mostly because of people lying about what they owe. You owe the insurance company a certain amount based on your situation. That amount is determined by your risk of loss. When you lie about your situation, you're not paying what you owe them - and the rates for everyone go up. By your logic, there's nothing wrong with robbing a bank as long as you don't get caught. Sorry, but some of us beliieve in being honest. Not to mention, of course, that what you're suggesting is a felony in most states. ok if what your saying is true then people that do have degrees and such are costing the people that dont more money!do you get what im saying?but just for the hell of it i talked to a freind of mine who deals with insurence everyday and he said none of those things mentioned except for tickets and driving history will make a difference in your quote anyway. so i guess none of it matters.i still think its messed up if geico does do what she said they do because if your correct then people with a college degree and marreid and whatever make the whole insurece go up for everyone.either way i dont think by saying you have a degree is in any way stealing and i think is nuts to even say that!then again this is my opinoin and it dont mean crap.i pay like 600 and something a year for liablity and didnt have to lie about a thing!

cleaned a engine in a 92 acura legend once and just used a hose and degreaser and covered the alternator and anything else i found electrical but afterwards i was driving the car and boom the alternator went bad.so i replaced it figuring water must of got into it but i swore i covered it good and really didnt hose it that much. anyway put the new alternator in and the next day boom the alternator went bad again!so now i was really *BLEEP*ed because it cost like 175 bucks!so luckly i was able to take it back and they gave me another one for free since i just bought it and told them there must of been something wrong with it.but guess what happen again! yea the next new one went bad too!so i gave it to a local mechanic and he couldnt find what was blowing the alternator so then i brought it to acura dealer and they too couldnt find what was doing it.the dame thing never stoped blowing alternators!so i junked it a couple months later! before that happened to me with the acura i once hosed a ford taures too and that blew the map sensor witch cost me almost 300 bucks!it was bucking like hell after i started it from hosing it. moral of the story is i wouldnt come close to ever putting a hose under my cars hoods again!i use alot of rags and cleaners and it looks extremely clean under there.i do hose and degrease underneath and a little bit of the motor just to make sure its all clean!just becarefull using a hose under there because its like playing with a bomb sometimes!even my detailer said this to me!he uses some kinds of steaming thing but i never let hime do it because mines perfectly clean! :D

must of missed the tickets part!lol..that part you might want to tell the truth about because they could easly find stuff like that out but some of the other stuff they wouldnt even bother checking into! its all up to the person but i would think 99 percent of the people in the us or canada would say some of those things if it would save them a few dollars!like i said before if the insurence company could give a lower rate to those that do have a college degree then they can give it to people that say they have one.its not stealing anything!thats my opinoin ;)
