  1. you would have to take it to either a dealer or a mechanic to get the codes read to find out whats the problem.its probably a sensor or something and i dont think it will hurt to drive it but its a good idea to find out whats wrong.
  2. yes thats perfectly normal!mine does the same thing.when you use the air condition it puts more strain on the motor and makes it hotter so the fan kicks up a notch when you hit the gas. :D
  3. 1.50?for what the service a month?thats cheap!
  4. dont think they make one for our year.they make one for 97 up and heard you would have to modifiy it to get it to work on our car.
  5. very interesting thread but i know at some dealers they want to see proof of ownership before giving out a key.either owners card or title or something.but im sure theres a way around that too!
  6. yep thats why i only recommend wipes for in between conditionings.the lexol works really good and smells good to.but then of course the coco butter isnt so bad either. ;)
  7. yes i would get it checked because im also leaning towards shot brakes! i did have that problem once were the parking brake was stuck!my own fault because i was on the highway and my cigerette pack was stuck under the ebrake so i lifted it a little and then when i got off the highway i heard grinding and it was that. but i dont think thats your problem.get it check asap to make sure
  8. yes JL audio is good!them w7s look pretty impressive.shame im not into that much bass anymore!kids and wife toke care of that!
  9. i would just get a amp just for the sub and leave the existing amp alone. theres plenty of good amps out there made just for subs so thats your best bet. also i think you can fit a 10 inch woofer but not totally sure.just make sure its a free air speaker for the best bass without a box! as for 4ohm reducing sound i dont think so at all.if im not mistaken 2ohm is harder to push then 4ohm but i might have that backwards but either way it dont matter much.
  10. ok is the vibration when your driving or when hitting the brakes?if its when your hitting the brakes i would say it needs rotors. if its when your driving without hitting the brakes at 55mph then i would say either tires or a possible bent rim but im leaning towards the tires.hope this helps!
  11. o and the pics do look good of your dads car!not bad for best buy!
  12. see your like me.i like a custom install also that looks like it came with the car and i dont think best buy will do that kind of work! i say go to the high end place like you want to do and at least you shouldnt have any worrys if its a good place.
  13. did you maybe hit that button in the glove box that turns off the trunk release??if not check the fuses and if it still dont work just try a junk yard for the switch or the dealer.
  14. yea i hear you!kind of like a smart card!my 95 dont have that but would be cool if it did!
  15. lol!! just imagine how messed up that would look! i can picture curved lines all over the window! :D
  16. dont forget the wheels! :D they could be the dirtiesy part of the car!i love washing and waxing and all but hate to do the wheels for some reason!i guess its because your bending down and with chrome you know you have to buff so your back really starts to hurt!well at least mine does ;)
  17. well at least we now know for anyone with 92 to 96 es 300s to get a aftermarket alarm if your car looks attractive! i just wanted to give a heads up.hopefully some of you will get a good alarm if your cars decked out with rims and such because nobody wants there car stolen when it could of been prevented.
  18. yes pull forward and hard because it is hard to get out but with enough tugging you will get it.
  19. welcome to the club! theres alot of alarms with remote start around for that price.you can try pep boys for a cheap one.even walmart sells them.i think a few people here have the remote start so maybe they will post what they use.

  21. newspaper is for sure the best way to clean the windows!old trick but a great one.
  22. i tried the mequiers rich leather wipes and they smell good and work great.i recomend them for inbetween conditionings.lexol of course is better.
  23. he was just suggesting that this subject has been covered several times! the amount of time it would take you to do a search is alot faster then someone could reply to you since theres not always mods on these boards.but now that im replying heres what i would use, lexol is great.never tried the woolite but i heard it works.theres also a few others.to conditon i use coco butter and or lexol.also tried mequiers gold class rich leather conditoner and that worked good too.
