  1. I agree. I will always have the dealer install everything on my GS. I have the Certified preowned warranty, and even the extended warranty also. I bought this car to last, and I plan to do what ever I can to keep her running in top condition. Only thing that sucks is I just got my registration bill from the DMV and it is almost $700 FRIGGIN BUCKS!!!!! Man, Grey Davis SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Later, Joel
  2. No, it's the Silver color. Not a very good quality pic. The list is long, 1.L-tune shocks and springs all around, Steering ECU 2.Rims & tires, still looking for the perfect set but know I want 18's 3.I have Navigation, but i am trying to figure out how to install my Alpine into her, maybe with a mod to the ashtray 4.Bremo Brake Calipers with 355x32mm Discs 5.Cold air intake, and a few other mods to the power plant 6. All the other cool things I haven't found yet on this forum. Take it easy, Joel
  3. Performance modules,Module Link do they work? I have heard stories of them letting your car run too hot, and !Removed! up the electronics, is this true? Am I better off spending $400 for an intake? Anyone on the forum use on of these mods befor, maybe you could suggest one. Thanks, Joel
  4. What do you do for trunk space? LOL. Sorry, I couldn't resist.
  5. Thanks, I have alot of work to do, but right now I am just trying to take good care of her so she lasts.
  6. Ok, I called my dealer to see about ordering the L-tuned steering and shock and spring package. After a little runaround, the parts department told me that he had just called for another customer, and that he had been told that this would be one of the last orders they take because they are discontinuing the L-tuned parts!!! Has anyone heard about this? Also, is it better to get the parts from the dealer, I was quotedabout $1050 for the shocks, springs, and steering ECU, then another $680 to $770 for installation. I always try to do research, so I went to http://www.ltuned.com/ and they had the same parts for quite a bit less. Any info about these issues would be really helpful. You guys have been great with all my newbi questions. Thanks, Joel
  7. OK, I know it is bare !Removed! stock, but I have many plans for my baby. I have a long wish list for this car, and hopefuly with the information I have gotten, and will continue to get from this forum, and a winning lottery ticket, I will be able to hook my GS up!!! :magic: Thanks, Joel
  8. I am planning on painting my brake calipers and rotors. I plan on doing the rotor in silver, but am having a hard time deciding on the caliper color. I have a 2001 Millennium Silver Metallic GS300 with the stock 6 spoke rims in chrome. I plan on getting nicer chrome rims later. Anyone have any pics? I have only seen red and I think silver. Thanks, Joel
  9. I don't have a plate right now, but I guess I will have to put one on. I would rather save my money for more mode. I just mounted clear marker lights, and am looing into some rims and L-tuned mods. Thanks for the input fellas, Joel
  10. Ok, I am in CA, so when I bought my car, there was a License plate holder mounted to the front bumper. I took it off cause it looked nasty, but they had used these huge 1/4 " self tapping screws and they left big holes and also dimpled out the plastic on the bumper. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this besides getting a new bumper? :( Thanks in advance, Joel
  11. Steve and Denny, Thanks for the feedback. I think I will take a day and clean this bad boy out. I have always liked getting intoan all day project, tehy seem to sooth me. I will get busy with the brushes, rags, and simple green. I will take some pics and let you know how it all comes out. Thanks, Joel
  12. Ok, I have seen the pictures and I need to know! How do you guys keep your motor and all looking so good??? What do you use? Degreaser? I heard that it is not good for any rubber tubing, is that true? Let me know, cause my powerplant needs some cleaning, big time..... Thanks, Joel
  13. Great!! I can't wait to get started. I really want my Lexus to shine. My girlfrind just got a new silver Jetta and the paint is like glass. I am jelouse, but not for long. Thanks, Joel
  14. Ok, so I see from this forum that clay will remove the little bumps and things that are on my paint or clearcoat. My question is, what direction should I rub the clay over my car? Should I paint the fence, or wax on wax off? I mean go back and forth, or use a circular motion? Thanks, Joel
  15. Yeah! Sure enough I looked real close and I can see the chrome. Anyone have any ideas on how I can strip off the paint just on the outside edge without ruining the rest of the paint covering the back portion of the grill? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Joel
