  1. We have an entire forum dedicated to the RXH and GSH http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showforum=79
  2. I don't see anything in the rules that say that, and if you look at the threads you'll find plenty of problem descriptions, fixes, and long threads pertaining to the specific problems that you state. Had you looked at LOC prior to buying your car, you would have seen those. The rules have been up for over 4 years, you've been here for two years, and you just now found them? Seems a little late for that.
  3. I would suggest going to: http://techinfo.lexus.com/ where for $10 you can access and download all the tech info, instructions, and diagrams for the car for 24 hours. You can download, save and print any and all the PDF files there.
  4. People are turning real world 13.6 or so with stock IS350s.
  5. I had a Voyager with 360 CI engine that would beat almost anything across an intersection. After that though it wasn't much.
  6. Beyond any doubt. The wife of every guy that regularly wears a tux should be driving one. :D
  7. I watched a piece on MagLev the other night. The main problem is that the amount of electical energy required to make them work is way more than any savings. It appears the technology isn't there yet.
  8. Yea, I wanted to keep it stock, and I will. My friend was just adament about upgrading...I think he underestimates Lexus...Probably because he spent so much money upgrading his car he feels that the Lexus would need to as well, good thing he's wrong :D The guy in miami drives an IS 350 right? And can anyone confirm the special high friction brakes? It's Meteoro in Miami. He drives a IS350. The stock front brakes are the same size as those from the GS plus 4 piston calipers and high friction pads.
  9. There have been several complaints of vibration with the rearview mirror. In one case the dealer replaced the entire assembly and that seems to have worked.
  10. It appears to be a IS300, but not the old IS300. :D
  11. What would be your point?
  12. I drove the auto 250 RWD first. I thought it was peppy enough and really pretty good at highway speeds. I went with the 350 based on that and the handling and comfort of the 250, just because I have this need for speed. My first sorta fast car was a 1964 Ford with 300 HP that I bought new. Just gotta have it. :D
  13. Gee, it took me 2 years to save up for mine. :D Breakwater was on my short list of colors too. I just couldn't find one at the time.
  14. At this point there are only three things to do. 1. Make a decision. 2. Follow through 3. Enjoy the car
  15. Keep the stock brakes etc until your skills reach a level that exceeds the car and then start to upgrade. I think the car in stock form is adequate for getting started into autocross. There's a guy in Miami who has been winning his class with no mods to his suspension or brakes.
  16. Congrats. Keep the shiny side up.
  17. It was a Lexus sponsored press preview event.
  18. Dedicated snow tires and drive very carefully and you can do fine in the snow. I havent driven an IS in snow, but from 1955 through 1986 all we ever had were rear wheel drive cars and it was just routine to put on snow tires every fall. More recently I got caught in a snow storm up near Cleveland in my 94 Firebird with all weather tires. Old driving habits kicked in and I did just fine. The only thing that held things up were three wrecks along the way, all front wheel drive vehicles, by the way. Its all a matter of good tires, careful driving, and knowing how to correct a little skid when it happens. Following distance, speed, brake moderation, and trying to maintain momentum before you get to a hill or whatever are key. I might add that the only two cars I ever spun out in snow were a Fiesta and a Escort, both FWD cars. If you start into a turn with FWD and the front wheels spin, you end up with no steering and the car tends to plow in whatever direction it was heading at the time. Personally, I'd rather be in RWD as you can at least take action to correct a skid with it.
  19. Let us know.
  20. Heck yeah, you'd think those guys would know the way to work by now.

  22. I haven't driven the sport package, but those who own them say it's just enough stiffer to notice.
  23. I think the manual should be about 0.2 to 0.3 seconds quicker on 0 to 60 times, if you can imagine that comparison.
