  1. I went from Ontario to Palm Desert and back a couple times. I never thought about going fast though cause we had a stupid little rental car. :D I remember a bunch of windmills on the hillsides and an Indian casino and outlet store that we passed.
  2. No. It has a plastic moulding that runs from the bottom of the bottom grill back under the engine. The air comes in the bottom and can then run up over the the whole radiator. there is a small 'shelf' but not restrictive as far as I can see. Hard to tell with all the plastic wrapping. Sounds like an almost completely different setup then. Mine looks like the radiator gets most of it's air from the upper grill while the lower grill air goes mostly to the a/c condensor and whatever else is below the radiator.
  3. Over how many miles and how many tanks have you tested this?
  4. Take a look at the threads here. There's a pretty good sized thread about rattles, fixes, and TSB's.
  5. Go here and pay $10 and you get 24 hours of download access. The manual sections are all separate PDF's but if you label each section you can then assemble the complete manual. http://techinfo.lexus.com/
  6. TPMS should be OK as long as they don't get damaged during the tire change. I'd use a good independent tire store for the change as they may take a little more pride in their work.
  7. If you lived in the UK Bartkat you'd have to find the equivalent of $105,000 to buy the IS-F. The car manufacturers have a reason for calling the UK 'Treasure Island' ...could be worse though, it's even more expensive in Ireland, Norway ..oh, and Singapore. If that were the case I'd have to sell my house and sleep under a bridge.
  8. You need to be a little careful as some bars won't clear the engine cover or will rub against the hood liner. I don't know which ones fit, but some reading will tell you that.
  9. The air conditioning fan is behind the glovebox.
  10. I think I could scrape together enough for a ISF but then I probably couldn't afford the insurance, gas, and food for my kitties. :(
  11. Do a search on "snow tires". There's been plenty of discussion here about that.
  12. The US model has a plastic divider "shelf" that runs across the width of the car below the upper grill. It extends from the front almost back to the radiator. Does the AU model have that?
  13. We expect IS drivers to be car enthusiasts who will check their tires every month manually and who will be savvy enough to check tire pressures whenever there is a change of seasons which makes a change in ambient temperature. Listen to Mario on the Firestone commercials and check your tires. :D
  14. I've read where other people also solved the problem by adjusting the door latch striker inward just a little.
  15. I've changed the low beam bulbs before. I don't think I had to do anything special. Once you pop off the back cover it's possible to swap out the bulbs. I have small hands though.
  16. My IS350 grill is open. If you look closely you can see the horns and the radiator. That's the upper grill. I think it needs to be open to get airflow to the radiator. What kind of plastic is yours sealed with?
  17. Don't get the brake pad TSB done then.
  18. You can buy the Lexus/HKS exhaust here: http://www.l-tunedparts.com/product/?id=2247
  19. All the people I've talke to who have had the brake TSB done are quite happy with both the cleaner wheels and the performance. Some are autocrossing with the new pads with no complaints.
  20. First thing you want to do is lie on the ground with your head behind the left rear wheel and using a light, look at the linkage. It's easy to see and you don't even have to jack the car up to see it. If the linkage is "L" shaped, then that's your problem. If it's almost straight, then it most likely isn't your problem. The pics are gone. I found the only one that I could and it's pretty much self explanatory. Maybe you could take some pics while you're checking. :)
  21. You can upload the video to photobucket and then link to it.
  22. Here's a pic of the autolevel arm behind the left rear wheel. This one is adjusted wrong. It's in a L shape. Properly adjusted the arms should almost be in a straight line or maybe 170 degree angle. http://my.is/forums/f89/springs-sways-cali...vel-fix-139041/
  23. Let us know how it goes. The guys with XenonDepot kits are also happy with them.
  24. Thanks for the reply.. you have to subscribe to it. that sucks You can download the whole manual for $10. If it's not worth that to you then don't.
