  1. All CDR's are not created equal. The manual also says: So it appears that if you want to play CDR, you take your chances. All I originally said was that the dealer would make the claim and try to blame it on burned CD. Rightly or wrongly, some dealers will try to do exactly that as witnessed above. I said that just to make the person aware that this could happen.
  2. how did you hang your ballasts? and what temp did you get? I got 4300K because that is the whitest light. These pics aren't Mtec, but the install is pretty much the same. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=192254

  4. If you have home burned CD's in there, the dealer is likely to blame it on that.
  5. I bought the MTEC kit from them. It's a good kit and they are a reliable seller. You don't need anything else, as projectors are projectors and HID kits work just fine.
  6. It's that legendary IS third gear.
  7. Have you considered the Hokey Pokey or the Bunny Hop?
  8. Here's a recent run by a guy in Cincinnati. Tri-State Dragway - Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana's Premier NHRA Dragstrip Hamilton, Ohio Saturday Nov 3rd, 3:54pm R/T: .380 60: 2.044 330: 5.743 1/8: 8.761 MPH: 81.98 1000: 11.367 1/4: 13.589 MPH: 101.53
  9. People I know have been running in the mid 13 sec range stock. Take out the spare tire, run with 1/4 tank of gas and get a good launch. Here's a log of several IS350 times. http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=p4r...JvrJeuOj2lAN-EQ
  10. Go to my.is and send a PM to Joe Z He will probably try to help you our or point you in the right direction for contact.
  11. You have to watch the pressure on these tires closely. If you go more than a month wihthout checking they could be off. I usually find about a 2 PSI drop in that time period. Of course the change of seasons will change the pressure. I believe the pressure drops 1 PSI for every 10 degrees F drop in the ambient temperature. I think the sensors will set off the alarm with a plus or minus 4 PSI from the initialization pressure.
  12. Go to http://lexus.com Go to the owners section and register with your VIN. You can then access and download the owners manual and the service schedule. Find out what 60K miles requires and do it.
  13. A lady that works at my doctor's office has a IS250 and drives this road daily. She had problems with AFS not showing where she wanted to look. http://www.crowmountainhillclimb.org/gallery.htm
  14. I think on really tight twisty roads many people turn the ASF off. Often the lights aren't really pointing where you need to look in certain cases.
  15. Even if the car is new it wouldn't hurt to pull out the cabin filter and look around in there with a flashlight. Could be a gerbil got in the fan or pooped in it or something. At least you can satisfy yourself that you peeked.
  16. The floodgates open as the official Lexus IS-F news embargo ends http://my.is/forums/f42/floodgates-open-of...go-ends-344568/
  17. I have a 2007 IS250 and don't recall any fan noise or squeak. However I hear (feel) a pressure buffeting effect sometime with the fan is on. This happens for any of the HVAC settings that I have used. I have also heard or felt the same thing is a loner IS250 so I think it is just inherent in the design. What is your noise like? Regards, I'd love to imitate the sound for you but I can't. But like you said, it sounds like "a pressure buffeting effect" and it's a rapid sound. I don't recall hearing the sound when I test drove the other IS. I also had a ES as a loaner car and that didn't have it either. So, I was just wondering... I notice a little thumpy thumpy maybe pressure sound sometimes if I have the fan running with the engine off. One thing you might want to check is the cabin filter. If it's dirty there will be extra load on the fan.
  18. Yes it could be if one brake isn't working at all it would seem like the opposite brake is grabbing. The safety issue is why I suggested to call Lexus Roadside Assistance. If they deem it a safety issue, they can write an order for the car to be picked up and properly repaired. I say this because I had the seat belt problem well before a TSB was issued. They offered to have the car picked up on a flatbed and taken to the dealer with an order for repair. It was deemed that the car was unsafe to drive with the driver's seatbelt inoperable.
  19. Sounds great man. Excellent job.
  20. You've probably done this but when you call Lexus roadside assistance stress that you have a safety problem.
  21. I got that piece of the article from another forum and have been unable to find the original entire article.
