  1. My Dad has 346k on his 90 LS400 and I have 256k on my 91 LS400.Weare running both to 500k just to do it.
  2. My Dad has a 1990 with 315k on it.I would check or have someone check the usual items that go out on the LS.A/C compressor and clutch,PS pump and rack for leaks, upper ball joints(they only come with complete arm for $400.00+ per side),heater control display and check maintenance history.
  3. Make sure they are factory pads, if not replace with factory ones immediately.
  4. Did you use a factory bulb?I know it sounds crazy but I was a parts manager at a Lexus dealership for 7 years and we had some aftermarket bulbs in cars that people got from other places that looked identical to the factory bulb and would light up but would not shut off the light on the dash.We put a factory bulb in and the light went off.I guess the aftermarket bulbs were off just a little bit.
  5. I'm told around the $60k mark.Looks, sounds and runs incredible.
  6. That would include O/F change,air filter,a/c filter,plugs,wiper inserts,trans fluid,diff fluid,brake fluid,t-belt,drive belt and coolant flush.Thats's off the top of my head but that's our 90k service.
  7. Shoot me the VIN and I can give you the Lexus Service History if your local dealer won't. kcourtright@germain.com .
  8. Just went to Chicago and got to see one live in action.White with white leather interior.AWESOME car and accelerates like mad.
  9. Go with four front IS350 rims 18x8 and use the factory sensors and your good to go.
  10. I am a Lexus Parts Mgr and have not heard of Lexus saying anything like that.I do know Dealerships that will not give you the # or will give out incorrect #'s on purpose.I figure if I do my job well and charge a fair price I will sell it.
  11. As a Lexus Parts Mgr I can tell you that we do not care where the vehicle was purchased we will service it for you.I will also say that going to an local shop is not always a bad thing IF you have a person that knows the vehicle.I sell to many shops that have been in business longer than Lexus has been a brand so they know cars also and know to use Lexus parts.I had a customer bring back 3 oil filters I had sold him for his RX350 because his shop said they didn't know how to change the filter for him. I asked him if he really wanted to trust someone with his $45k vehicle that couldn't figure out how to change the oil then he said it was the first time so they had had not done one yet.I found out the vehicle just had 5k on it so we would do it for free and offered to let him watch the Tech do it so he could tell his guy how it's done.As far as a $125 oil change I wouldn't pay that either, that's V12 synthetic territory. If you want to drink bottled water or espresso while watching a flat panel tv in surround sound,or drop off and drive an 2007 RX400h,GS350,IS250,ES350 or RX350 come see us.If you just want your car serviced go see them.We might be a little bit more expensive but the best always is.We could have bought cheaper cars but we bought a Lexus.
  12. I would spend the extra cash and get the factory one.You get a lifetime warranty with the aftermarket but it sucks having to change it every couple of years. How long did the original last?
  13. That converter should be under the 8/80 -w- I believe. What makes you think you need one?
  14. I worked for Mercedes and a shift surround for an SL600 with the Carbon Fiber trim was $3000.00.I appreciate what Lexus411 said as I am the Parts Mgr at a Lexus Dealership.
