  1. Did you get it from a dealership in the U.S.? Because if you did, I know this may sound cliche', but you got to take it back from where you bought it. I think the steering linkage is prolly not even connected. Sounds pretty weird. Srry for your misfortune. Hopefully you get some luck. Do you ever read other than the first posts in a thread? :chairshot:
  2. I heard a strange noise in my car today on the way home from an all night poker game. I turned a corner kinda fast and there was this bumpety bump. Turned out it was only my empty six pack cooler flipping over in the trunk. :chairshot:
  3. I think there's a pin you have to remove on the gas pedal.
  4. Escorts are the best you can buy for the money. The've done the job for me for 30 years now.
  5. One hose attaches under the airbox with the other end going to the pipe that connects to the charcoal canister. The other hose attaches to the intake and the other end to a fitting near the throttle body. This fitting is on top of the valve cover I believe.
  6. Hot Rods.
  7. For new parts you can get a quote from here. Better prices than usual dealer prices. http://www.lexus-parts.com/category2.asp?cat=SUSP
  8. What guys? I don't see anyone here recommending anything but premium gas.

  10. I'm not sure, but I was thinking maybe the linkage or the steering arm under the car. I think the electric is only to add the advantage to the power steering. They use that instead of a hydraulic pump. It could also be that the steering wheel itself just isn't fastened. You might try to get the car on jack stands or a hoist and start moving the wheels themselves and watching and look for anything disconnected from there up. To try to understand the parts and how they are connected maybe go to: http://techinfo.lexus.com/ and download all the tech info and drawings on that system and then try to relate what could be causing the problem.
  11. Or maybe they disconnected something when it was shipped?
  12. That's all the help I got right now.
  13. You need a new bulb.

  15. Change gas stations or gas brand and see if that helps.
  16. Read the replies. Read post 2. Check that out and let us know.
  17. Sounds to me like it's gone into limp mode and needs to be taken somewhere to be analyzed.
  18. Sounds normal to me. Rain will come in even if you run the window down a little bit. I guess that's why some people buy those clip on visor vent thingies.
  19. http://techinfo.lexus.com/ There you can pay to download shop manuals, and other tech info. You can subscribe for different terms and rates. 24 hrs access costs $10.00 and you should be able to download everything you need during that time. Any Technical Service Bulletins should also be on this site.
  20. Mobil 1 should be just fine. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...ost&id=3751
  21. Not exactly sure where the fuse is and i'm not in the states around my 300 but, I had that problem and I changed the fuse....nothing happened....check under your trunk and make sure the insulation on the wires isn't fused together because mine and a few of my friends had that problem and the exhaust would melt the insulation on the wires... That's a good idea. I've also heard of this happening several times.

  23. thank you for the information. actually ive noticed the tire pressure light seems to come on in extreme temperatures. today it came on and it was 10 degrees. when it came on in the summer the temp was around 95. i appreciate your help in this!!! We saw that happen when a guy bought a car in Florida and drove it up north. Turned out to be the difference in temperatures. Get a good tire guage and check them manually. I find mine to drop a pound or two about monthly even when the temp is constant outside.
