  1. I also have low mileage with 17,000 in three years. I buy oil filters from Irontoad and have my oil changed at a privately owned oil change shop. If you don't get the miles, you should follow the "months" in the service manual. The only fluid change coming up is brake fluid at 36 months. I plan to have this and the inspections done at the dealer. It also calls for air filter and cabin filter, but I do that myself with genuine parts from Irontoad.
  2. Have someone sit in the car. You walk away and lock the doors with the remote. Then have the person inside open their door. The alarm should go off. How long should they wait before they open the door and what if it doesnt go off? Here's what happened to me. I went into the bank and left a passenger in the car and locked it with the remote. I guess about 10 minutes later the passenger opened the door and the alarm went off.

  6. That's true. The bulbs will become bluer with age. Phillips sells a bulb that's 5000K color temp that will more closely match the color of an older bulb. Since you have one new bulb already you'd probably be better off vision wise to get another new 4300K bulb and replace the old one.
  7. Here are some PDF's that might help, or at least help find the components. On the troubleshooting PDF scroll down to Headlight Beam Level Control. Note the first item. Fuse PWR-IG. That's shown in the other PDF under the hood on the passenger side in the main fuse box. headlight_beam_level_control_system.pdf troubleshooting.pdf
  8. Do your garage wall test by first turning on the headlights and then starting the car. The headlights should dip way down and then back up to level. I think they do that every time you turn them on, but it's easier to see it this way.
  9. The first question is have you done any suspension work recently, ie; lowering springs or coilovers or shocks?
  10. I see you found it. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...st&p=287332
  11. If you disconnect the battery you better have the radio code when you reconnect or I don't think the radio will work. The radio will work. You may lose the station presets. You also may have to cycle all the windows up and down as well.

  13. We're mostly left hand drive people here. You might have more luck asking on the UK LOC. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/ Or Australia. http://au.lexusownersclub.com/forums/

  15. Here's a DIY. IS350 or 250 would be the same installation. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=192254 I have the MTEC kit and have seen the Xenon Depot kits recommended.
  16. Hadn't heard of that one before.
  17. I don't know of any color matched strips. There might be some that you could have painted.
  18. Tried Sewell Lexus? http://www.sewellpartsonline.com/category2.asp?cat=ENG
  19. Just get the specified Toyota filter element from Irontoad or from a dealer. Aftermarket cross references are not always correct. Using Toyota parts is the safest way to go. If you want to make sure what you have take a look at the oil filter housing on your own car.
  20. Mguiar's. NXT Generation® Speed Detailer This should take care of it and also make future spots easier to remove.
  21. Squeak complaints are covered by the TSIB. http://www.lexustsb.com/questions/197/TSIB...nt+Brake+Squeak
  22. Here's a diagram that shows the flasher location. That's the thing that clicks and flashes the lights. I expect the relay is either in the fuse panel nearby or in the main fuse box under the hood. signal_hazard_warning_system_location.pdf
  23. Put a plastic bag around the filter before you pull it off.
  24. Somebody changed the badge.
  25. I'd wait awhile. Maybe a month.
