  1. Hey everyone, I have a 2002 IS 300 with an all stock sound system. I've done some research online and I think my factory stock amp is shot. The LED on the radio lights up fine, cd's go in and eject easily but there is no sound-not even static coming from the speakers. :( I know the amp resides behind the glove compartment box. My question is how to actually remove the glovebox and replace the amp itself. Regarding the amp specifically, what can I expect in terms of wires and how it is actually mounted behind the glove box? Thanks for any help. :) Also if it sounds like no sound from the speakers might be something else please feel free to offer up ay other possibilities. E
  2. Hi Folks! Can anyone make a good recommendation for an Ipod adaptor? I have a 2002 Is300 with six disc changer. I DO NOT have the stereo controls on the steering wheel. Ideally I would want something that would give me the song readout on the LCD display and that would fit nicely in the little storage spot right below the stereo and not too hard to install as I would probably be taking it to a best buy or something to have them do it. I tried the FM transmitter and the sound quality was horrible! Thanks for any advice and recommendations!
  3. I'm not seeing the location for the relay itself though. I think its under the drivers side fuse box so I am going to try there. Thanks for the manual though. Elizabeth
  4. Its pretty vague but I will tinker around in there behind the fuse panel. Any additional info would be great!
  5. Hello all, This is my first time posting. Hopefully someone has the answer. Recently some weird poltergeist stuff has been going on with my car. At about three in the morning my emergency flashers starting going off. Not the alarm mind you but just the blinkers going crazy as if I had the emergency lights on. It killed my battery by the time my neighbor knocked on my door to tell me what was going on. I jumped the car with some jumper cable and the neighbors car and that was it. Or so I thought. Last night The same thing happened. Except this time I caught it before it killed my battery. I drove the car around the block to see if that would stop the lights from flashing. Weird because when I started the car the lights stoppded flashing. The blinkers and tailights worked fine. I also tried the emergency button in the middle of the dash and this worked normally too. But as soon as I shut the car off the emergency lights/indicators came right back on. Possessed!! I popped open the hood and pulled the fuse for the indicator lights to stop flashing and not to kill my battery. I found a similiar post on here about this happening to some guy's wifes car and he replaced the turn signal relay. I am going to try this. Can anyone tell me where this is located, how difficult it is to replace, tools needed etc. Or if I should just take it into the dealer and have it done.... I have a 2002 Lexus IS300. Automatic transmission I am a girl and I always feel like I get taken ;) at autorepair locations and or dealerships so I'm going to try and do it myself! Thanks! Elizabeth
