  1. Best I can find out is that the bulb comes out from the back side. I think you can get to it from underneath.
  2. Don't know about a convertible, but the IS500 seems to be in the works. http://my.is/forums/showthread.php?t=295106
  3. If you're going to keep the car 3 or 4 years, then you'll get your money back in resale value with the Lexus. My IS300 sold for 60% of it's original price when it was 4 years old.
  4. I think you're ok as long as you don't get metallic tint.
  5. Try here. They got all kinds of prices. http://www.carcoversdirect.com/custom_cove...=9&action=step4
  6. IS 300's had that problem. Dealers replaced the units. However, if you are playing home made, burned CD's you may be out of luck.
  7. You can look around out of your area and possibly find what you want. Once you make a decision on the car, hold out for what you want, especially if it's manual trans that is your main point. Lots of people have bought from ouside their area since allocations and options have been sort of strangely distributed. If you get on Autotrader and search new IS250's you might find it.
  8. There are separate settings when in FM mode and when in CD mode. I'm sure you've set it while playing a CD.
  9. When the tank is almost empty, the concetration of trash and/or water becomes much higher.
  10. The feature was turned off because there was a spammer trying to upload spyware to IPB boards.
  11. You should notice quite a difference, especially when driving with the sun to your left. The car will cool down quicker and stay cool easier when driving on the highway. It should be especially helpful in FL.
  12. Not the same sound at all. The RSX is a high revving 4 cyl while the IS is a moderately reviing V6. Much more mellow sound.
  13. The hood closing sounds normal from what other owners say. Dunno about the clutch.
  14. I haven't had that problem either.
  15. Near as I can tell it hasn't been tested.
  16. Try lendingtree.com they'll get quotes from several loan companies.
  17. OTOH if low mileage is due to many short trips and not much highway driving, it would be considered severe service and should be on the lower mileage/time schedule. Cars that never get fully warmed up, sit around alot, etc can still have contaminant build up, moisture, etc in the oil, which may be more detrimental than lots of highway miles. I go by the 6 months service always if I don't get the miles. It isn't expensive and it's good "insurance". You don't have to pay Lexus prices just for oil and filter changes. I think it's especially important if this is your first service since breaking in your motor.
  18. No burst bubble, eh? :chairshot:
  19. I think that's only an oil and filter change. You can do it or most any place can do it.
  20. Sorry to burst your bubble guys but it looks like it's plastic. I just swapped out my ashtray for the JDM optional one. It that's a Lexus OEM part, give it the burn test and see if it's wood. :D
  21. I heard once that Lexus gets their wood from Yamaha.
  22. By the way, i tought Durex made condoms It was a tough job sometimes. :D
  23. Awww retired from Durex eh!? :D I was in quality control. Worked in the test lab.
  24. I'm retired from the biggest rubber company in the world and the only car i have is my IS350 that I bought in October.
