  1. This picture pretty much sums it up. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread...690#post1955690
  2. I hear it too. But most people notice it when they are moving. When my car is not moving but I turn the wheel, I hear that sound. I have a RWD w/18" wheels.
  3. We like the ML350 very much. It's a fine piece of German engineering. I didn't get it with the air suspension so I went to Brabus and lowered it. Also, I swapped the wheels to 20" Anteras. Handling is much improved. It handles twisted roads better than my IS250. But I still love my IS.
  4. My fuel door does not lock properly. I have to almost slam it shut to lock. Anyone have this problem? I guess I'll just pay my dealer a visit for an adjustment.
  5. I'm from the east bay of the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm in management for a well known cellular phone company. My wife drives a 06 Mercedes ML350. She's a stay at home mom until my son (3 months old) is 2 years old. I also have a 5 year old girl. I commute in the 06 IS 250. I love this car.
  6. Tango, do you use your cover everyday? Do you use a duster first before you put on the cover? If not, any scratches?
  7. Any product you use will not prevent black on the rims. Black dust will still accumulate after time as long as you're using the brakes. The only way to combat this is protect your wheels for easy cleanups or change the pads.
  8. I have a 06 Mercedes ML350. I just purchased a IS250. IMO, the IS produce more dust (fronts anyway). I will try wiping them off everyday until new pads are installed.
  9. Anyone using a cover everyday? I have to park my new IS250 out in the sun while at work (8-5) and am considering purchasing a cover to use everyday. Of course I would get the top of the line cover so I won't scratch the paint. I can just imagine that putting it on and taking it off everyday will get old quick. I've been used to going from garage to garage up until now. My company is moving and there is no covered parking anymore. I guess if a cover is not the way to go, I'll just tint the windows. Any advice?
  10. I have the stock system. Is there a way to program it so I can see the song title all the time. I have to press "TEXT" to see the song title.
  11. Just to update everyone on this - if you want to replace your brake pads with less dusty ones, EBC has them available for the IS. It's called Red Stuff. go to www.ebcbrakes.com to see. It's $99 for fronts and $69 for rears. These are supposed to be for highly tuned cars and produce 50% lower dust.
  12. Well, I purchased a IS250 w/Premium Package/ 18" wheels/Tungsten Pearl/black leather yesterday for $1k over invoice. It didn't take long to come to that price. I probably could have gone lower. Shoulda, woulda, coulda.... Most important, I'm happy with the car.
  13. I just happened to be looking at the EBC brakes website and saw they have part #s for less dusty pads for both IS350 and IS250. I will call and find out.
  14. I don't have it yet, still deciding on colors. Light colors will not show spider webs or hairline scratches as bad as dark colors. In addition, dust is not as noticeable from far. I wash my car all the time and would use a chamois if it was a dark color. However, if someone else wash your car and used a towel, would it cause swirl marks on a metallic dark color paint? I have a silver Mercedes and it is easy to clean. I was debating if I should get an IS in granite.
  15. If you have red or granite (metallic), do you get swirl marks or spider webs?
