I just got a FREE supercharged LX470!!!
Lexus Owners Club replied to MONT470's topic in 98 - 07 Lexus LX470
Hi Josh.....welcome to the Club Looks like a great truck and worth spending some money on it I would replace all the pulleys and tensioners and use genuine Lexus/Toyota components as so many fake parts out there and especially belts so it may be thats the reason why they are breaking? Keep us updated on how its going -
Hi Dan.....welcome to the Club Yes, they can....not sure how competitive the dealer pricing is compared to a independent shop However, it is a specialist job with incredibly high risk of electrocution if not handled correctly. Let us know what (and who) you find to carry out the job

Daily driven 03 ES 300
Lexus Owners Club replied to Trafic_Cone's topic in 92 - 06 Lexus ES250/300/330
Hi....welcome to the Club It is a double-edged sword as the car will go to 400k without issue if it is maintained correctly. Also, maintaining the car ensures it is safe to drive so if anything, this is why the money should be spent on it. A broken coil spring is completely dangerous as is neglected steering and braking components. Additionally, the engine needs maintaining to ensure it will reach that magical mileage -
I do not believe the batteries need any maintenance but it does pay to have a health check on the system to ensure there are no dead cells and also the hybrid system is operating as it should. This is a dealer only service but it shouldn't be too expensive to have checked and certified. The lifespan should be in excess of 15 years quite comfortably

Not sure about a replacement screen but sometimes you can tell whether it is just a non-sensitive screen or whether your fingers are lacking in the oils that make the screen contact.....worth rubbing your finger across your forehead as this sometimes gives that little bit extra sensitivity to the screen

Humming Or Buzzing Noise From Rx 350?
Lexus Owners Club replied to kmar's topic in 10 - 15 Lexus RX350 / RX450h
Keep us updated -
Not sure personally but worth a punt as long as you have found lots of posts saying they will fit. What about the rest of the exhaust system coupling up to the headers?

Tires
Lexus Owners Club replied to Hy Haberman's topic in Lexus IS 250 / IS Turbo / IS300 / IS350 / F Sport Club
I would see no problems at all with using different spec tires as long as they are of the same speed and load rating -
Have you tried any other countries sites? May have slightly different configurators

2007 460L rides rough
Lexus Owners Club replied to Liberty Man Van's topic in 07 - 16 Lexus LS460 / LS460L / LS600h
Hi....welcome to the Club That doesn't sound good as the ride should be smooth and no noises should emanate from the underside of the vehicle. I would highly recommend that you take it to an independent garage for them to check it over thoroughly before committing to a purchase. It could save you a fortune and if they are not keen on this occurring then I would imagine there is a good (but not genuine) reason for this. -
Catalytic converter theft
Lexus Owners Club replied to Matt E.'s topic in 10 - 15 Lexus RX350 / RX450h
https://lexuspartsdirect.co.uk/parts/lexus-rx/lexus-rx-phase-ii-2004-2008/lexus-rx-2-exterior-interior/lexus-rx-phase-2-catalytic-converter-lock/ Something like this may do the job nicely -
Wow! that sucks! I guess that is probably the best way forward to remove the carpet, clean it and reinstall it. The console should be quite easy to remove and just look to see where it is being retained by pulling it gently to see where it is still attached. It may be worth while disconnecting the battery as the seats would contain airbags and pretensioners. To avoid these accidentally deploying it is an idea to disconnect the battery negative terminal and leave for 30 minutes before disconnecting any SRS components to be of the safe side Let us know how you get on and would be interested to see any photos of how it looks when all stripped back

2004Gx470 bank 1 sensor 1 location
Lexus Owners Club replied to binkyrules's topic in 03 - 09 Lexus GX470
Bank 1 Sensor 1 = This O2 sensor is located right before the catalytic converter, on the side with the Cylinder #1 that is Bank 1. The right way to tell which side is Bank 1 and which side is Bank 2 by using the following method: Bank 1: It is the side which has the #1 cylinder. For instance, Cylinders 1 – 3 – 5 – 7 Bank 2: It is the side which has the #2 cylinder. For instance, Cylinders 2 – 4 – 6 – 8 -
That's an interesting one! As the problem appears to be caused by the tow hitch being there and being sensed by the system, I think I would be tempted to remove the sensor and fit it the other side of the bumper and then just blanking the hole if it can be seen? If this resolves the issue then you could find a cheap or defective sensor to plug the hole and put the look back to original

2016 LX570 Sideview Mirror issues
Lexus Owners Club replied to DaveTex2021's topic in 08 to 21 Lexus LX570
Hi....welcome to the Club I would check the wiring and indeed if there is an independent fuse for that circuit. There are different motors in the mirror assembly for lens adjust and also folding mechanism. Maybe if you pull the trim off and start the process of removing the mirror but first look at the wiring, especially any common earth points which could be corroded Let us know how you get on with it all -
2013 GS 100K+ miles
Lexus Owners Club replied to ThunderDan's topic in 2013 - Present Lexus GS350 / GS350 F / GS540h
HI.....welcome to the Club $3k for a warranty is rather high but being offered by a Lexus dealer then I suppose it would be high> As long as there aren't too many exclusions in the T&Cs then it should cover most issues. I guess its all about peace of mind at the end of the day -
Will Sc430 Wheels Fit My Ls430?
Lexus Owners Club replied to The Josh's topic in 01 - 06 Lexus LS430
Better ride quality with 17 and larger tires Just changed my wheels/tires on my BMW Z3....doesn't corner so well but softer ride and as I'm getting older my priorities have now changed 🙂 -
2007 LS 460 LED LIGHTING SWAP
Lexus Owners Club replied to MR.SMITH's topic in 07 - 16 Lexus LS460 / LS460L / LS600h
Strangely enough I fitted resistors which worked for the Hazard Lights but didn't change the indicator flash rate. Found a relay (which looked Original Equipment) and is designed to be used with LED lamps......worked immediately and about the same price as resistor kit. Also found that the resistors marginally affected the output voltage to the LEDs...which it would do I suppose -
