  1. Not sure about a replacement screen but sometimes you can tell whether it is just a non-sensitive screen or whether your fingers are lacking in the oils that make the screen contact.....worth rubbing your finger across your forehead as this sometimes gives that little bit extra sensitivity to the screen
  2. Not sure personally but worth a punt as long as you have found lots of posts saying they will fit. What about the rest of the exhaust system coupling up to the headers?
  3. I would see no problems at all with using different spec tires as long as they are of the same speed and load rating
  4. Have you tried any other countries sites? May have slightly different configurators
  5. Hi....welcome to the Club That doesn't sound good as the ride should be smooth and no noises should emanate from the underside of the vehicle. I would highly recommend that you take it to an independent garage for them to check it over thoroughly before committing to a purchase. It could save you a fortune and if they are not keen on this occurring then I would imagine there is a good (but not genuine) reason for this.
  6. https://lexuspartsdirect.co.uk/parts/lexus-rx/lexus-rx-phase-ii-2004-2008/lexus-rx-2-exterior-interior/lexus-rx-phase-2-catalytic-converter-lock/ Something like this may do the job nicely
  7. Wow! that sucks! I guess that is probably the best way forward to remove the carpet, clean it and reinstall it. The console should be quite easy to remove and just look to see where it is being retained by pulling it gently to see where it is still attached. It may be worth while disconnecting the battery as the seats would contain airbags and pretensioners. To avoid these accidentally deploying it is an idea to disconnect the battery negative terminal and leave for 30 minutes before disconnecting any SRS components to be of the safe side Let us know how you get on and would be interested to see any photos of how it looks when all stripped back
  8. Is there anything obstructing it from closing (e.g. a coin dropped down inside the lid area) ? I would also be tempted to remove the assembly and see what has occurred and then evaluate if it can be fixed or replaced
  9. Bank 1 Sensor 1 = This O2 sensor is located right before the catalytic converter, on the side with the Cylinder #1 that is Bank 1. The right way to tell which side is Bank 1 and which side is Bank 2 by using the following method: Bank 1: It is the side which has the #1 cylinder. For instance, Cylinders 1 – 3 – 5 – 7 Bank 2: It is the side which has the #2 cylinder. For instance, Cylinders 2 – 4 – 6 – 8
  10. That's an interesting one! As the problem appears to be caused by the tow hitch being there and being sensed by the system, I think I would be tempted to remove the sensor and fit it the other side of the bumper and then just blanking the hole if it can be seen? If this resolves the issue then you could find a cheap or defective sensor to plug the hole and put the look back to original
  11. Hi....welcome to the Club I would check the wiring and indeed if there is an independent fuse for that circuit. There are different motors in the mirror assembly for lens adjust and also folding mechanism. Maybe if you pull the trim off and start the process of removing the mirror but first look at the wiring, especially any common earth points which could be corroded Let us know how you get on with it all
  12. HI.....welcome to the Club $3k for a warranty is rather high but being offered by a Lexus dealer then I suppose it would be high> As long as there aren't too many exclusions in the T&Cs then it should cover most issues. I guess its all about peace of mind at the end of the day
  13. I would stick to branded makes for all timing belt components (SKF, Gates, Continental, etc) Be careful to avoid buying counterfeit parts (see video) and maybe far safer buying from you local dealer
  14. Better ride quality with 17 and larger tires Just changed my wheels/tires on my BMW Z3....doesn't corner so well but softer ride and as I'm getting older my priorities have now changed 🙂
  15. Strangely enough I fitted resistors which worked for the Hazard Lights but didn't change the indicator flash rate. Found a relay (which looked Original Equipment) and is designed to be used with LED lamps......worked immediately and about the same price as resistor kit. Also found that the resistors marginally affected the output voltage to the LEDs...which it would do I suppose
  16. Got a couple of searches for coilovers in this forum https://us.lexusownersclub.com/search/?q=LS coilovers&quick=1 Also, the UK forums https://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/search/?&q="coilovers"&search_and_or=or&search_in=titles&sortby=relevancy Also, the Australian forums https://au.lexusownersclub.com/search/?q=LS coilovers&quick=1
  17. I would carry out a wiggle test which is to wiggle the wires to see if it cuts in and out then you know you're in the right area
  18. I have encountered this on a Lexus before and found it may me a bit squiffy for a while until my eyes adjusted to it. I couldn't tell you why though, only thought was the rake of the screen and your eyes are focusing on differing angles?
  19. LS4HM ....welcome to the Lexus Owners Club Carrera....very nice! Would love a 911 myself - maybe one day 🙂

  21. I always loved the 55 Chevy in Two Lane Blacktop and this was the closest I could get to one. Wow! a V12 in a Malibu....snug fit as the V12 is a hefty engine in any engine bay at the best of times
