LOL, I love stuff like this. Thats just the salesman trying to get you into an RX330 instead of an RX400h. First of all he's lying about May, the cars are already here in some places, arrived today, and spend more on gas if they're an aggessive city driver? Hardly. Worst case scenario is they spend the SAME, its IMPOSSIBLE that they'll spend more on gas. Driving the Hybrids aggressively does lower their mileage, but not beneath what you'd get on a normal gasoline powered vehicle of comparable design. Our Prius doesnt get great mileage because of how its driven but it gets 42MPG or so. Thats the oldest trick in the car sales book, get them to buy whats ON THE LOT TODAY, that means you get paid TODAY instead of a year from now when an RX400h may come in. Get a new salesman, you don't want to do business with that guy. ← All salesman are like that LOL. All they care about is money. The more cars the sell, the more the get. If a salesman last year got you on a waiting list for today, they aren't gonna get any money until today! at least that's how it went with me last April. I'm still waiting for the call that my 400h is here

My wife's a lawyer i don't know how she's handeling it yet. All i do know is that their incompitance was unexcusable There's no reason that such an item as the steering wheel should not work correctly and FALL OFF!! while driving. I guess no one fully checked it before they passed it on to me.... I don't really want to make a BIG deal about it. I would rather not take it to ourt if they offer me an exceptable apology and maybe a free car :P Maybe they wont sell me any more Lexus's LOL That isn't worth all the money in the world. Neither is a death...... Money isn't what i'm after; all i want is for Lexus to ADMIT that they were wrong for ONCE!!

Nail polish? Was she painting her nails right before she got into your RX or was she painting them in the car, hehe (j/k). Can't blame her for the latter, a Lexus interior is very comfortable :D . ← she was putting it on while she was in the car LOL Multi-tasking never works

Yikes... your steering wheel actually come off? :o Why in the world would they loosen the steering wheel on your car for wheel balancing? Good thing you weren't on the highway when that happened or that would have been very bad to say the least. ← I'm not totally sure if it was a balancing, but i do know the wheel needed to be off..but yup it came off!! Thank god is right it wasn't on the highway. Imagine going 60+ on the highway and having the wheel come off...yikes Allso well though.....The dealer's incompitance is a pain....

Getting the ink off the wood should be a breeze ;) just use a simple cleaner (make sure it's not something with a citric smell; it's most likely to take off the acrylic coat on the wheel (makes it shine). First try a damp cloth and move up from there. B) If the ink got on the leather part of the wheel forget it! It bleeds in and is a pain to remove, especially if it's a dark color. My wife got nail polish on my rx330 and i can't get it off!! It's just a small stain; like the size of a penny :o ...I've tried everything. Nothing will get that red off the tan leather....Nail polish remover dah. but didn't come off totally. I tried pure acetone, only stained the leather darker, even bleach; yeah don't do that it makes the leather whitish. ERRRRR Good luck getting it off :P

Deffinetly watch how you treat the transmission...It's not fun to have it burn out, especially when having to put $4400 into it at only 60k miles an my 99 did. Watch how it's driven. The mistake i make which made mine go was that well, people say i have a "heavy foot" I tend to floor it right away Acceleration is the WORST thing for an rx tranny. ;) This is just a suggestion from a person who has had problems with it....The rx300 seems to be the only car that can't take a heavy foot.... Also just the little things: -watch for scratches; they make it look bad :P -condition the leather; even my 2 yr old rx300 (62k miles) has wrinkles in the seats which are very unsightly. ...just a few ;) Good luck and enjoy the Lexus; the best cars on the planet in my opinion..and yes i have owned Cadillac's before. My sister has a 2000 deville i think? Pretty nice.. I have only driven it a few times but still like the Lexus's ride

My first rx was the 99 rx300. In 03 it's transmission went so i sold it. I loved it so much (besides the tranny problem) that i bought the 03 rx300. The 2003 rx300 has been the mossstttt troublesome car i have owned. But i later bought the 2004 rx330. it's deffinetly an improvement ;) I've got an rx400h on the way ;) can't wait for that one....

HaHa :P I had to have my rx300 serviced @ my dealer to do a wheel balancing etc. When i picked it up, as i started to drive i noticed that the steering wheel was off-centered. I figured they had the wheel off and put it on sideways. But as i continued to drive the wheel was turning even more. Then i pulled on it and it did come off!! They forgot to tighten it as they said. Lawsuit in progress ;) I could have killed myself!

For those of you that have an rx300 or rx330, would you buy another rx after this one? Why or why not.....Just wondering if you were satisfied enough to buy another rx... ;)

I agree with all of you that light IS sickening!! I have been looking at that light everyday and can't stand it. Since i don't wear my seatbelt it's always there. I find the belt to be a waste; probably because i haven't been in a serious accident. It's a Lexus; who needs a seatbelt :o On my rx300 i took off the buckle of the belt and stuck it in the clip! It makes the car think i'm wearing it so it doesn't light. I won't be able to wear the seatbelt ever again; not like i actually would... I've tried to put something over the plastic of the gauge cluster to cover it, but that's even more distracting... I never thought of taking out the bulb ;)

Why is it that some Lexus's headlights have a greenish hue to them? I'm not talking about the xenon bulbs, i mean the plastic/chrome itself. The gs430, rx300, rx330, and LS all seem to have this hue!! Is it only with xenon headlamps? I don't remember the gs300's having this hue. Also why DON'T the es330's have this hue? Is this color for looks??? :o

I don't even know if the light comes on on any of my cars, i've never tried to take it out of O/D. i just know a light (warning) does come on some other cars, (all of which have transmissions) ;) . Since the O/D button is on the shifter, you really don't know if you accidently press it. If there isn't a light on dashes, there should be B)

Last year i put my name on on the waiting list....They said they weren't sure when it was going to be in, sometime in april or may. May is my guess considering the options i want, and color. My dealer as well said that the color (blue) with ALL the options available including rear DVD etc. would be rare and not made soon. Since i told them early they said it should be in asap. I'm not totally sure when it should be in; i cant wait!! :)

The Beemer and Benz are mine as well which i only take out every once and a while. Oh, and none of them are lease. I payed in full for each of them. I plan on keeping them as long as i can, even with the mileage they get per year (40k miles)... Out of all of these i like the lexus's the best ;)

Is it bad to NOT drive in overdrive at all times? Because if you take it out of O/D a light comes on. This to me means a warning, as if it's something bad. I leave it in O/D all the time and it seems to be fine...

It's also good to rotate the tires from front to rear because of turning wear. The front tires will get worn down more on the sides than the rear tires will. After a while it could get dangerous...I have my dealer rotate them every once and a while...They say it's not necessary but insist it.

I don't think that what kind of car you drive will affect how old you look......Sometimes i'll take my wife's 05 es330 to work, and actually feel younger than i really am. I'm 44 by the way ;) Yes it's old to some of you, but still..... I usually take the rx300 (a womans car to some) or the rx330 (a boat in my opinion). But when i take my wifes es, i feel different. I don't think people think im any older than i am. If i saw a young guy (in their 20's) driving an es, i would think they have good tastes. That's just my opinion. In 03 i bought my son (now 21 years old) a BRAND NEW LS430. He picked it out and everything. He looked at the IS300 all the way to the SC430's. Believe it or not he picked the LS over the sporty SC430. THAT in my opinion is an old person's car. But he doen't care. He's gotten in 4 accidents since, a total of $13k in repairs, and still drives it today... Last year my daughter (now 20 years old) was going to college so i got her a new es300. She likes it, and doesn't think she's old either. This is just my opinion.....A Lexus is a Lexus.....

I don't know if i can explain this very well but here goes...Yesterday my wife took my rx300 to work. It was a warmer day so she opened the wondows and FIXED MOONROOF :P to enjoy the warmer air. When she got home (7:00 at night) we went out to have a nice dinner. when she was driving it, i noticed that on the radio/temp control area, the label that used to light up "TEMP" on a sticker was missing!! Instead of "TEMP" lighting up, all there was, was a clear (green light). Im guessing that the sticker fell off? This sticker is about 1cm/1cm and had the word "TEMP" written on it. when put on, at night the "temp" lights up green. Now there's only a green backglow. I looked all around the interior and i coudnn't find this thing. Im thinking it flew out the window or something... I don't know if this matters, but it has navigation. I think the radio/temp is pretty mush the same?? Thanks

Im not 100% sure someone smoked IN it; it just smells like it. Maybe the person/people that worked on it smoke, and they brought the smell in with them. When i told them that 140 miles were put on it, they said they didn't have any idea as to why. The manager said that after they fix something they test drive it to make sure it's in perfect working condition...but i don't recall driving it a test for a moonroof..... The car works fine so i don't have any case to say they wer possible joyriding it. All i do know is that 140 miles were put on it. I parked in in a space in front of the building, and last week i found it in the back. What's that; like 0.0005 miles !?!

My guess is that they had to take it somewhere to fix it. I just hope no one took it for a joyride or anything. Nothing's broken on it that i can see, and i can't see and new scratches/marks on it. The inside smells like smoke and the wood wheel has black stuff on it :o Oh well it's fixed. It works. I'm happy. Im trying not to expect too much from them; it's not like they care about anything but money LOL

I hate those weasels at Inskip! They are up to something i tell you!! Every time i go in for service etc there's a problem. 140 miles to fix a moonroof?? I don't think so!!

When i got the loaner they didn't tell me that i couldn't go out of state. I work out of state so that would have been a problem for me. I returned the Camry today and got my rx300 back. The moonroof is fixed, and they even replaced the button i made a scratch in hitting it with a rock :P . They didn't charge me a cent (b/c it is still under warranty) and i am happy with the results. They cleaned the car inside and out and waxed it ;) Something i didn't expect to happen. The only thing i noticed, was that when i dropped off my 03 rx300 last week it had 62,566 miles on it. When i picked it up today it had 62,705 miles!! How they did they manage to get 140 miles on it fixing a moonroof motor? I don't know, as long as they fixed it i'm happy.

This happened on my 99 rx300! At first it would be delayed a few minutes. Then for a while it would flicker, and a week or two later it just went out. The dealer fixed it (was still under warranty) and it didn't happen again. All i know is that the whole screen was replaced because i had a scratch on it and it was now gone ;) . I don't know what they did, except for replacing it. I am not aware of the cost either.

I don't think the rx's are loud at all...i do notice that the rx330 is louder than the rx300, only becuase the the size difference. Overall they are the quietest SUV's i have ever driven in. That's why i bought them not another brand.
