  1. LuIS - Your IS300 came out great, nicely done. And the car still looks like new. What wheels are you running? What tint?
  2. Way better looking than the old RX, IMHO. I expect it to outsell currently RX .
  3. I am not aware of any states that have made DRL's mandatory (states don't generally meddle with automaker installed safety equipment, CA emission standards is another story with some automakers using it as a 50 state standard), nor are they a federal requirement in US (yet and as of today in 2015). In Canada DRL's are mandatory, and driver-selectable DRL's are not available. When you drive there it's very obvious, and in heavier traffic not especially helpful either.
  4. Yes, I remember that news from Lexus a while back.
  5. Lexus was a step ahead with avoiding diesels, in Europe the slow steady decline of diesel cars has already started. To make diesels run cleaner, they become increasingly expensive to build and maintain, more complicated, less powerful and less efficient.
  6. I'm like that too, not much of tv person or not much tv watching on regular basis. I prefer sports (Tennis Channel 24/7), but I do enjoy Gotham show when I have time. What they need is some kind of weekly car show. That could get me hooked....
  7. Notice how Lexus is not wasting any resources on diesel engines for its passenger car/SUV fleet.
  8. I never waste time or energy on New Years resolutions. New Years to me is strictly January 1st, a date. But this Brit's car commentary (from the land of overused oppressive speed cameras, not much use for high perf car anymore there) is not helpful.
  9. Looks like that pic is with car "aired-out", and for stationary parking lot use only in that mode . The pin strips do not look good. Rest of car is looks good.
  10. Pause gets used a lot by me.
  11. Notes: On the 2nd gen ISx50's, a Lexus service tech can disable the DRL feature, an option for those that do not want DRL lights. By having this done, high beams will still operate normally. Don't know if the same can be done with RX350. Also, using the high beams in rain (or fog) is not advisable for safety/visibility reasons.

    E85

Yes. My last Mercedes C300 allowed E85 use, but no way, never touched it.
  13. I definitely will see the movie, (once it's on Redbox for $1.63). Looking forward to it.
  14. Huge garage, wow. Looks like fun.
  15. Hannibal - Did you finish modifications to your exhaust system on the 2015 IS?
  16. Welcome khanking and congrats on the new IS350 F Sport. Looks like its very well equipped. I'm running the Lexus F-Sport exhaust on my second generation IS350, very pleased with the sound. I think a new version of F-Sport exhaust is now available for the latest generation of IS. I have 3M Color Stable 35% tint on my car. Did you select your tint yet?
  17. Bling-tastic gift for the car. I have some kind of brushed silver metallic valve covers on my Lexus, not that cool.
  18. Yes, all the premium automakers (BMW, Audi, Mercedes) have their own version of a "corporate grill", but the Lexus grill seems to be biggest and baddest so far. Interesting that sales are strong with the grill, but I know some people think it's a bit much....
  19. Yummy (in moderation, meaning don't eat the whole bag in one day )!
  20. Claude - Congrats on new NX turbo. Looking forward to your first impressions.
  21. Where's the racecar? But I see the battleship with the Lexus, great picture! Maybe that pic should be used in the next Lexus advertisement.
  22. Another MB loaner for weekend, 2014 C250 well equipped (other than 17" wheels). Plan to put about 300 miles on it over weekend.
