1. How old is you battery? I haven't come across this before.
2. Yeah, I haven't come across anything pre-fabbed. You could try doing something on your own or take it to an AfterMarket Shop
3. Have you tried testing the cables with a tester? Which Fuse Box did you check-Inside or under the hood?
4. :whistles: I'm not a supercar driver, just the occasional racecar now and then :) You're right, the I and Max. drive similarly. For the longest time I beleived the I and Max were the exact same cars, but all of that changed once i started to work at an Infiniti dealership and got the chance to actaully compare the cars side by side. I even put them on the rack and checked the underbody, wheels suspension, etc. they have some similar parts like pads and rotors, suspension and so on, but the Maxima being built over here has some major differences. For example, the Nissan dealer reports the Maxima comes back for more Warranty work than the I30. In my opinion, it's a poorly built car. I would choose the I over the MAx. The point I was trying to make the I30, g20, j30, m30, m35/45 q45 and so on are tested on a global market scale, The Max isn't, hence the reason why I'm calling the Infiniti's the real cars from Nissan.
5. Okay, I don't mean to sound like I'm picking on you (NC211), but this targets a lot of people who really need to get their facts right; and it ticks me off~ pardon my language. I30-Nissan Cefiro is one of the original engine/chassis car. The Maxima on the other hand is manufacturered and sold ONLY in the US and Canada. It's the same with the Toyota SOarer-Lexus SC 2.5/300/400. They are not based on the Toyota Solara. -------------------- In response to the comparo Infiniti I vs the ES. Yes, they are both definitely well-built and very tough to compare. If I was to pick a car between the two, I would choose the ES because the turning-radius for the I30/35 blows. The ES has a better turning-radius, but when it comes to power and stamina I'd go with the I35. Oh NC211: I hate to do this to you again, but the extra BPH didn't come from the VVT for the I30/35. It was the because of the larger diameter pistons and the larger engine header that made the difference. there are some major differences between the Max and the I.

Ebay Bodykits

Well I bought a new V-speed Kit. I will recommed this bodyshop in the DC Metro Area. AutoBody Craftsmen. http://autobodycraftsmen.com/ they got a new kit from VISRacing. Fits like a charm and man it looks great. Now I'm going to have to get new Exhaust tips. The best part about them is they work on Muscle cars, classics, tuner bodykits, and racecars. THey can install roll-cages and weight reduction. Unfortunately, I'm out of money, but in about a month, i'll get all my dents removed and get a two stage custom paint job, Expensive, but worth it. I'm also going to add a funtional rear spoiler. I'll but up pics once I have them. Highly Recommend.
7. Can't see the image your uploading, but I have driven the I30. What' s the question.

What make Jim good is his worksmanship and he wants to work on your original cluster. This way the mileage will be the same. Good luck. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...p;hl=Jim+Walker
9. Oh they're definitely charging 20% higher than the Sticker. When the Infiniti M35/45 came out a few years ago, the sales manager charged 18% above sticker for the very first M45 sold in the region, and this is a Lexus. I wouldn't call the LS a smaller version of the Maybach.

Ebay Bodykits

I'd say any replica that sells for below $700. The Distributing company is FatBoy Garage D#$@ http://fatboygarage.com/ I'm going to ask them if I can get some of my money back. I doubt they will, but a shot in the dark is worth it.
11. Hey Guys: god I hate to say it but I made the biggest mistake of my life buying an Ebay/Fatboy Garage. Just tried to fit this Vertex replica on my SC, and dam, not a darn thing fits to it's recommended holes. The fronts too large, the rocker panels- ones too small, and the other will crack on impact. The rear cover is stretching and probably won't hold. Man. this was the biggest mistake I've ever made. Anybody else have this problem?
12. :cries: Ohh! I'd love to own that. Will someone buy it for me, PLEEEAAASSSEEE!!???
13. You could start with these guys, and then move to ebay. http://www.wheelexperts.com/aero/autocouture/line.html
14. The distributer caps are hidden quite well on my LS. I'm surprised water seaped in.
15. Exhaust valves? Do you mean exhaust gasket?
16. I don't think you can do much with it. If your Panels are just torn not completely split you're only step is to screw them all of them. I've come across a few entries on Ebay. If you come across one, buy it and get it painted.
17. not sure if you're referring to my posting: It should be a whole new system. without the speakers. I have something like that in my LS without the touchscreen or the rearview camera.
18. What brand System are you thinking about? I'm interested in this (AVH-P5700DVD)Pioneer touchscreen with a rear-view camera, XM radio, changer, or (AVH-P6800DVD) with just the monitor in the front.
19. the groaning sound is from Air being present in the P/S Pump. You could open the reservoir and see if there are any bubbles in the after driving the car or turning the wheel from left to right. It sounds like your pump is failing. I'd buy a new one and just replace it.
20. Not sure if chasing down the problem will solve it. I believe the Idling high is common amongst Older cars and is related to the ECU wanting more from the engine. You might want to check it out during summer and see if it takes less time
21. My insurance carrier is Safeco. I recently switched with them a couple months before this accident, after staying on AIG for 3-4 years. I'm pretty close to getting my "new" car soon. I just have to wait for the VIN on the car to be verified, and then I plan to take delivery at the end of today. You'll all see pics so sit tight, and there will be no teasers :) Come on you little tease; can't you see Lexusfreak is loosing his mind. How about sharing the VIN with us?
22. Glad to hear that you're okay. Wow, that is an incredible pay-out. Who's your carrier? :D BTW, if you;re thinking about the G35 I wouldn't get the 03/04's> they have some issues. 05-06 would be the best, and the 07's not yet. Personally, I'd get the GS or another ES. They're a little cheaper to maintain and you're used to the handling. You could also try the SC. --------------------------------------------- Referral to closed thread Sugglebunnie: I see your point, but as far as I'm concerned having an accident is part of a learning record. By having this accident both insurance companies have learned how safe the Lexus ES300 and the Ford Mustang convertable is. Based on this event, the insurance companies are letting the manufacturers know how safe their cars are. In fact I'm pretty sure the next Ford MUstang built will be that much safer becasue of this event. We can't blame one person, otherwise we'd have a new government.
23. Report from Magdelene... "I've been trying to change cabin filter in my 97 es300 and its been a nightmare. I went and ordered a filter, waited for three days, looked thru manual, asked employees of a store, where is it located?. Someone told me that it is behind a glovecompartment, looked there, nothing. Searched web, found out that filter supposed to be next to the gas pedal, looked there, couldnt really get to it. So, I went to mechanics, they checked in their computer and told me that my car does not have a cabin filter. Hovewer they called Lexus dealership, just to be sure, gave my Vin number, someone in parts dept. said that my car has the filter. Cutting to the chase today I finally found it, openned it and there was no filter inside and ones that I bought do not fit.
Can someone explain?" Magdalene: I would like you to read all of the replies in this post. The reason why I am stipulating this is because it tells you where it would be, and if it's not there you're car probably doesn't have it.
24. from Del- A New Member "Report: I'm new to the forum and joined to find out if the dealer was blowing smoke up my skirt regarding my complaint on the 05 that I just bought with 12,000 miles. When slowing down for speed bumps or any other time when going below 5 mph and then accelerating, the car/transmission hesitates and then jerks with a downshift to low gear. The dealer tells me that if I use 89 octane, the problem will go away. I'm now into my third tank of 89 and the problem still exists.

From what I've read thus far, this transmission is notorious for this. I had a 93 for several years and never had the problem. I'm looking for advice." __________________________________________ Del: You're not the only one with this problem. My 94 LS has the same problem and it happened after I changed the transmission fluid. I would switch from 89 to a 93 since most of these cars need the better fuel to operate efficiently. It also prevents Knocks in your engine. Now I find the transmission slamming into first kind of common occurance on the older cars. I wasn't expect that on the new ones. Also, I don't think the fuel should be related to the transmission. I'll check with one of my technician friends.
25. I'm sorry; I didn't notice your Post. I believe the pics are for the JICs Magic as 00_Soarer_400 said.
