  1. Think about it this way, if your OEM has lasted you a good 12 years or so, why even look elsewhere? Are you planing to find a filter that might last 20+ years? Its only as complex as you make it to be.
  2. Its not real GUCCI leather... TRUST me.
  3. Alright sir. If you look closely on the top, you will see 2 small opening on the top of your dash, probebly enough for a flat head to go in. All you need to do (CAREFULLY) is to insert a flat head there, and press on the 2 pressure clips to release the cluster, and that is all. I had the same problem your facing, and had to put it back together and do it all over again after some help on the forum. Just look carefully for those 2 spots, might have to pull on the trim above the cluster to see them. BECAREFUL not to bend thee trim TOO hard. Good luck. ← THANKS! You were a huge help. It was a struggle - not sure how I will be able to get all the connectors back but it is out. I recommend taking off the steering wheel cover to get a bit more room. Thanks again ← Anytime B)

  5. true, I replaced mine with Mobil 1 ATF, best move I ever made :D Steering is much better now.
  6. im really loving the LED side marker... looks real nice. I have a set, but I never installed them out of fear of them looking bad with the lights on... got a link to where i can find these LED's? Forgive me if you mentioned this in a prior thread, but are license plate lights WHITE? (i like those too) or is it just the camera and lighting conditions? Keep up the good work man.
  7. Last I was at Lexus ofTampa bay, it was $90, might have gone up.
  8. Becareful not to break the brake wear indicator sensor.
  9. You need to get the 2003 version Hard drive.
  10. A green envalope should be in your owners manual case, it contains the code to your lock, and where you can send the money to order a new one. I just ordered a new one as mine was getting worn out.
  11. I'm guessing you mean Nakamichi, and you dont have to replace the entire system. The nak come with its seperate equlizer for better sound clearity, and it has a 270watts over the stock 190watt pioneer (not sure about the 1st gens). What is this about it being analog? what is your friend talking about?
  12. Guys, this has to do with the position of the cats, they are very close to the drivers foot well, and heat up after driving for a bit. Best way is to set your AC to recirculate helps alleviate the problem.
  13. Anyone? mine has also stopped moving up and down. Any help?
  14. They are a lot easier to reach when you have yoru headlights out, like when you're working on the signle housing.
  15. I wouldnt do any of the above except water pump, timing belt and rotors. (If you want, you can change your own engine belt... takes 5mins).
  16. Not sure about the SC, but in my LS, the interior cabin fuses housed one for the parking, lights etc. It should be marked for "TAIL LAMPS".
  17. The 90-91 LS used a one piston caliper, in 92-94, they upgraded to two piston calipers (93's got bigger rotors, if im not mistaken). In 95, Another upgrade to 4-piston calipers..... So they are much bigger then the 1st gen brakes.
  18. Best company I've seen to date is leatherseats.com (also on ebay). I will be buying some front seat covers for my newly acquired SC400. They have really good stuff. I’ve heard nothing but good things about their leather.
  19. when was the work done and how long has the vsc been on?on my 98 whenever you disconnect anything under the hood and plug it back up the vsc light comes on but after a few start ups and driving it usually goes off. dont worry almost anything can make that light come on ← Right. I've found out that if you unplug pretty much anything under the hood, the VSC light comes on, even brake fluid reservoir sensor. Just double, and triple check for unplugged harnesses.
