I heard the owner was banned from "Another" Lexus forum, wonder why?

IT really *BLEEP*es me off how HID's werent standard equiptment on the 98's. EVERYWHERE i got worldwide, EVERY Lexus from 98+ have HID's.

Trust me, if it was coolant, you wouldn’t be able to sit in the car for long. Had my heater go out on a ford I owned, and trust me, you CAN tell easily when its coolant! I’m pretty sure it’s either condenser, or just a loose hose under your glove box. Don’t panic, most likely it’s a small issue. Moreover no, it’s not a lemon. Relax.

I dont know how good the deal was, since i dont know much about IS's, but i do know they dont come with 16inch wheels. Are you sure they arent 17's?

Trust me, its different when your driving an SC430... take in an 90-94 ES/LS/GS and chances are, the manager wouldnt tell you its a new scratch.

Take it from me, if you dont own a 2 or 3 yearold lexus, chances are, they dont really care what you think, even thought, older Lexus' bring in more money due to higher out of warrenty repairs, but your just different to them if you dont wear a 20K watch, or wear expensive clothing. Sometimes i have to actually "dress up" to get decent, honost service, and my car isnt really that old (98 LS). It's sad, but true. and if you look very young, forget about ittttttttt. Dont believe me? Ask all the 02-04 owners (esp SC guys) about thier experiance, and compare the responses with owners of 90-94 LS/ES/SC owners.

2000 is a nice year, but dont pay 28K for it. I see 430's go for that much. Try not to pay more then 24K. Good luck.

Its more noticeable when i lower my wind deflector by hand, maybe your isnt adjusted right? Im talking about the small black plastic part running across your sunroof.

5-30 offers a considerably noticeably better at start up, even more obvious on colder days. 10-30 is good for hot climates like AZ, but in cali, 5-30 makes a better choice. Some suggest 10-30 with higher mileage engines, so as you can see, there’s a bit left and right on this and this is where you have to make your own choice. But since you have problems during start up (which I had too on my old car till I switched to 5-30) then maybe you should switch to 5-30 and try it out.

I stopped by the dealer on my way today to ask them about it, and it was clear the guy didn’t not know what he was talking about, but he was very nice none the less. It’s funny to see someone make up something and make it look as if he read it in a book or something (he was so confident about his BS :) ). And the more questions I asked, the stranger the answers, I even asked him about things I knew just to see how humorous things can get. You don’t even want to know what he told me about my parking/HID's/Sidemarker/headbeam lights :) EDIT: I wouldnt expect any less from a salesmen, but this guy was your top of the line looking tech.

I’m wondering if the entire Nakamichi system can be interchanged from a 98 GS to a 98LS? If yes, could it be easy to swap it with the Pioneer? I got a really good deal and I was just wondering if its simply just plug and play as far as the speakers/amp/sub/Cd changer/head unit are concerned. Thanks

Just do a Gen II break conversion, with 4 piston calipers, it’s a big difference.

You dont have to worry about plugs for another 60K if you wanted. and its entirely up to you about the oil.
