  1. thats correct , the cost of ownership the 4th year is more then the 1st three. There is a very good ES 350 program for 36 months thru LFS right now. SW as far as UL's and pretty much any model except LS this month anything goes.
  2. get nitrogen put in your tire. Alot less sensitive and less air seepage.
  3. If its factory DVD , you can hold toggle switch on the unit and it will make the remote beep if its anywhere in the car. I use to do it on my RX .
  4. Yes and No. Same quality leather sometimes used by Coach. Just they don't need to pay Coach for their name or badging. The semi-analine leather used in some of the 460L's and previous 430 Ultra Lux's is of even better quality. nappa leather= A soft, full grain leather made from an unsplit sheepskin, lambskin, or kidskin, usually tanned with alum and chromium salts and dyed throughout.
  5. The leather in the LS and most other new Lexus is nappa leather. Coach uses this in some of their pocketbooks
  6. The steering wheel alone is hand buffed for over 3 hours. The fit and finish is the benchmark in th industry. Just look at the gaps in the fenders, hoods and doors. The paint process is so painstaking and expensive Rolls Royce stopped using it 10 years ago.
  7. Same reason there isn't a Hybrid ES. Lexus believes by putting a 4 cylinder motor ina Lexus,it will hurt the image
  8. Very hard to tell a Teamster what to do.. There are so many variables. Some times another boat load of cars come into the port come into the port a day after and get unloaded in front of those cars. Then it depends which cars get loaded on which truck etc. One truck could hold cars for 2-3 different dealers. It most cases it takes 10-14 days from when the car gets into port., but can vary by atleast 10 days especially around holiday times. I just saw the part where they said 3 days. Thats an extremely low estimate if the car really came into port that day. Its 3 days after the car has been put on the transporter.
  9. Check out the latest Consumer Reports, M/B had 8 cars on the least Reliable list.
  10. The new LX is alot boxier. Blows this away.
  11. 370 hp, excellent turning radius, the navigation w/ the traffic data are just a few. The previous LS was a great car, tough to improve on. The new LS 460 will one again be the benchmark of the industry but this time not just for reliability.
  12. switch to Nitrogen. The tire will hold the pressure much longer and is better for the overall tire life.
  13. set the memory on the drivers door first. Then with the doors closed press the memory button and either lock or unlock on your key and hold until it beeps. The memory will now react to that key unlocking the door. This only works with the Smart Keys
  14. if the 4TH CHARACTER OF THE VIN is an H = All wheel drive} If its a G its 2 Wheels drive
  15. if your referring to the mirrors tilting down while in reverse, the toggle switch must be in the left or right position for this to happen.
  16. Have them show the service history. See if it was prepped for delivery at that dealership. Sometimes the dealers are offered cars from the manufacturer that were dealer rep cars or damaged in shipping. If it sat for a long time. Have them change the tires and carefully inspect the paint for acid rain damage. The tires have certainly lost there round ness from sitting.
  17. go to Rallye. You will see the difference. the 2 S. Shore dealer sare ran the same way. Sales and service.
  18. must cars will come in to the dealers equipped around $67k and around $81k for the L version.
  19. They are Lexus wheels that were chrome dipped . Meaning they didn't come from the factory that way. The dealer probably did not have the center caps dipped as well.
  20. generally sticker price, because if you opt out they are stuck with a car not many other people desire.
  21. Its a good deal. These websites {KBB and Edmunds} generally don't account for True Market value. Pre0wned LX's still have great re-sale value. Secondly add in the factor how few are on the market. Definitely worth it. Its very hard to buy any Lexus for "book value} Most sell for $2k to $3k over that. Except here where everybody got theres for thousands less and the dealer threw in every option and free maintenance for life. Enjoy the truck.
  22. Most of the money is the warranty. The will repaint, repair or replace anything it covers. If the paint is destroyed from acid rain or bird droppings {which happens quite often}they will repaint the hood. It definitely has some value.
  23. Buyback is as bad a sit seems. Most buybacks are done for customer satisfaction. The fact that it can't be certified usually means the tile is branded which hurts its value. Just run your own car fax.
  24. yes the car may have a branded title and alot less value
