  1. You have the best dealer right around the corner from you. Have you been to Rallye? Haven't seen anyone pay $30k. That is below invoice on a AWD 250 by about $2000. So there is no modest profit. The cars in your area come with an MSRP of $36000 + . Expect to pay over $32. And there is more to a deal then price. Lastly Lexus quality isn't a song and a dance. Its all factual. More so then any other car you are looking out. I would call John Capozzi @ Rallye . He is the internet manager,
  2. Did they fix the problem after you had called them?
  3. and you waited for today to make your 1st post about them? Communication is always a 2 way street. Always give the dealer a chance to make things right before you take harsh steps.
  4. most likely factory wheels sent out by the dealer to be dipped. You can usually tell by the fact the spare is not chromed. The factory chromed wheels always included the spare.
  5. The survey DOES come back w/ your name on it. The survey DOES effect the salesman. It effects the salesmen alot more. Give them a chance to make good. As a last chance return the survey with nothing circled except in the spots where it asks for you to write in your comments. This wont hurt the salesman and your opinions will still be read. It also shows good faith on your part despite the dealers actions.
  6. Call Lexus. They may do a one time replacement of the computer for you. I have seen it done in cases where all keys were lost.
  7. First there is alot more 07s available. The 2008 changes are New Grill {same design slighlty larger} Chrome handles like the ES Optional 7 spoke 18 wheel 2 New colors Desert Sage replaces Black Forest Brandy wine replaces Neptune You will get the Black birds eye maple wood with the grey leather and a VSC cutoff switch
  8. Directly from the Lexus engineers.. 91 octane or better must be used because of the Dual Direct injection. Sorry iof the was mentioned above
  9. The article was written for this reason alone. Knock Lexus and people will talk. All of those other cars have good points about them but overall the Lexus beats them handidly.
  10. keep in mind equiptment levels and discounting vary by region.
  11. yes they can do it now , and without giving up a key
  12. I bet it helps them sell alot more ES 350's . Pretty smart of them.
  13. by inside , I mean the lip inside of any fender or panel . Easily accessible when you open the hood or trunk lid.
  14. simple way to tell if a lexus has been repainted. Run your finger on the inside of any body panel, door , etc. You should feel no paint seems.
  15. the computer for the ES 350 can only support 2 smart keys at this point. You cannot program anymore then that.
  16. Nobody is wrong. I just wish some many of these threads and titles weren't so biased against the dealership. The auto business is one of the only places where profit is a dirty word. $640. for a shift knob may seem alot of money for a 1993 GS now but awhile back that was a $40,000 car. The quality of the materials and craftmanship are what makes Lexus what it is.
  17. SW is again correct. When I go out to dinner at a nice steakhouse, I pay for the service moreso then the steak. Im sure Lexus dealers can find real estate in a cheaper area and tone down some of the ammenities they offer , all to lower there profit margins. This would anger alot more customers. They could also cheapen the quality of there componenets, use plastic in the shift knob and not real wood. I think the whole process is more appreciated when the car is purchased from the dealer. Thats where the whole relationship begins. Your buying and paying for the Lexus experience. Not all dealers are the same but in a large majority they are. There staffed by the most qualified and decent people in the industry with a goal of satisfying customers. I allow them to make a living and they are there when i need them. Same for the guy who sells me my suits, does my landscaping and so on. Lexus did a study, the most valuable asset people listed was time. They preferred to save time over all else. Money was #3
  18. theres a Verizon phone that finally works. According to Lexus.letstalk.com the chocalate does pretty much everything. I just set up a Verizon LG 5300 phone for a customer and it downloaded #s 10 at a time.
