  1. The diagnostic tool and software, which can be bought cheap on eBay, will display the voltage and other data for each battery cell. I would have them show you this data before taking things apart. Or get one yourself and see what the data shows. You need a laptop with USB port and MS Windows OS. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-VCI-v8-00-034-Toyota-Lexus-TIS-TechStream-OBD2-Diagnostic-Interface-Scanner-/111386474635?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19ef26b88b Here is some data when I tried it on my 400h:
  2. It runs however long it takes to get the engine coolant up to approx 157°F, or longer if you are using the heater or accelerating over 42 mph. On a short trip under 5 miles, you will not get much benefit from the hybrid system, unless it's already warmed up or warm outside.
  3. My overall average for 30,000+ miles, living in the Pacific Northwest, calculated from fuel receipts and trip meter (not the car's computer) is 24.1 mpg.
  4. Different engine, but here it is. CamshaftPosSensor.pdf
  5. Which RX model are you asking about? I have a diagram for a RX400h.
  6. You can buy a full service manual CD online (eBay) that has troubleshooting guides, wiring diagrams, component locations, connector locations, etc. I highly recommend it.
  7. Maseace, any reason why you're planning to make a switch? Just curious. The Paradas got louder after a year or two, and the treadwear is not that great. Traction is very good wet or dry, however. The Continentals have DWS technology for great traction in any weather, a higher treadwear rating (700 vs 420), and I have some Continantal DWS tires on my other car and really like them.
  8. Check out the Continental PureContact with EcoPlus - These will be my next set of tires on the 400h. I currently have the Paradas.
  9. I'm pretty sure it's just the pulsing effect of the ABS kicking in. Mine does it right before the car comes to a stop, if I hit the brakes a little too hard.
  10. Check the battery voltage when the car is running, it should be around 14V if it's charging properly.
  11. I have done my research. What are you trying to tell us? The Lexus tech screwed up? I had the recall done and have not had any problems.
  12. It's a magic switch that turns it into a hybrid!
  13. Possibly #22 in this parts diagram? https://www.parts.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=store.sectionDiagram&vehicleID=187488&diagram=8913685
  14. Keyless entry simply means you can lock/unlock with the key fob instead of inserting the key in the door lock, like most cars have for the past 15 years. Smart keys are the ones you can leave in your pocket the whole time. The swiveling headlights (AFS) are more obvious when turning left than right. They only turn a small amount to the right and it's not really noticeable. If you have an AFS switch under the dash you have this option. The ML system has a logo on the head unit, and uses different speakers and an amplifier in the back under the cargo area tool tray.
  15. Sorry, I don't have a remote starter. I would ask the person who installed it or check for the manual online.
  16. It's probably the aftermarket remote starter. Try removing it/disconnecting it/removing its fuse, then see if the panic alarm still goes off.
  17. What was the part number? My replaced IPM 'transister' was 04001-29148 and I have AWD, but it doesn't way AWD or FWD on the paperwork.
  18. The lamp assy is available on parts.com for $75. Link: http://www.parts.com/parts/2008/Lexus/RX350?siteid=2&vehicleid=196474&diagram=8913735
  19. Maybe they stole your disc - go back and talk to the manager. The disc has to be inserted to use the GPS.
  20. The 2007/2008 have a much better navigation screen than the 2006, and the stereo plays DVD audio/video, and MP3 on CD.
  21. OEM Lexus Lock/key is $99 on parts.com: http://www.parts.com/parts/2006/Lexus/RX400h?siteid=2&vehicleid=186262&diagram=8950375&diagramCallOut=3
