  1. I disabled mine my disconnecting the plug to the rain sensor in front of the rearview mirror. It then reverts back to normal intermittent where you control the speed instead of sensitivity. I also disabled the annoying headlight washers that come on when you wash the window with the headlights on, by simply pulling the fuse under the hood. Not sure if there is a fuse specifically for the rain sensor though.
  2. Do you also get a check engine light? If so, most auto parts stores will read the code for free, which will tell you a lot about what's causing it.
  3. Maybe some silicone sealant, or a leather/vinyl repair kit that matches the color? Make sure to use a UV protectant such as 303 Aerospace Protectant on it regularly (and all the other plastic/rubber outside the car) to keep from getting further sun damage. Park in a garage or carport when possible, and if you have to, use a sunshade in the windshield.
  4. This happened to me once. I think it was because that time I moved the car with the gas cap open to get closer to the pump, so the vapor recovery system in the car didn't work properly, and maybe the fuel bladder was compressed to remove air. For any of you that had this happen, did you drive the car with the gas cap not fully tightened, even for just a little bit?
  5. Yes, you have to remove the whole dashboard, steering wheel, and front wipers/cowl according to the service manual to get to the A/C parts.
  6. What is the servomotor for? Not sure I understand what part of the car you are talking about.
  7. I attached a symptoms chart from an RX400h which may help. ACsymptoms.pdf
  8. Attached is info from the RX400h repair manual. Start with the switch. SeatHeaterSwitch.pdf SeatHeaterParts.pdf SeatHeaterDiagram.pdf SeatHeaterControlLH.pdf
  9. The shift from regenerative braking to friction brakes occurs around 9 mph, but I was also thinking it might be this.
  10. Here is some info from the repair manual. This is for an RX400h but it may be similar. AirMixDamper.pdf AirMixDamperControl.pdf
  11. If I remember correctly, you have to have the odometer displaying (not trip meter), then while holding down the odo/trip button, turn on the car, and keep holding the button until it shows reset on the odometer info display.
  12. No, the RX400h recall is for suspect solder joints inside the inverter power module, and it would have nothing to do with starting the engine or rattle sounds. The symptom for the 400h would be loss of the hybrid system in hot weather at high speeds (going into limp mode).
  13. Here are the instructions for a power tilting steering wheel from an RX400h, but it's probably the same for the RX350. If you have a manual tilting wheel, let me know (different instructions). IgnitionSwitchRemoval.pdf
  14. Make sure the connector is plugged in fully near the sensor.
  15. This whole multiple IPM recall has got to be an embarrassment for Lexus. You think with all the barcoded labels on each part, they would know which VIN numbers would be affected without having to take it in and look at the inverter serial number.
  16. Again!? I took mine in twice for them to check for this already. Did they miss some again and I have to take it in for a 3rd time? Well, at least I get a free tank of gas and a wash.
  17. Did you try reloading the original nav DVD? Maybe you fried something by connecting the charger directly to the battery while installed in the car?
  18. Mine are wearing quickly and noiser than when they were new. Only 25k miles and they are getting close to needing to be replaced. I don't think I'll buy the Paradas again. I'll probably go with these tires next time.
  19. It's not the same. In WA state where we get misty rain frequently, the auto wiper settings never worked well for me. I like controlling the intermittent speed myself.
  20. The other option (that I like better) is to disconnect the rain sensor altogether, and you regain normal control over the speed of the intermittent wiper.
  21. If there is a small crack in the plastic housing, water will get inside and corrode the circuitry to the LEDs.
