  1. Yeah, 91 would be considered treating your baby good out here. So does BP have a bad rep over there?
  2. Are you going with 5-way adjustables?
  3. Are you looking for cup holders that will fit where your old ones are? They sell this thing called a wedgie at Walmart for $3, it wedges between the passenger seat and center console. The Wedgie holds 2 large cups and comes in black or grey.
  4. I never knew that they didn't have Arco in other states, they seem to be everywhere around here, kind of like McDonalds.

Probally just human error, I'm sure they wanted to give you an accurate diagnosis. Maybe the tech was just a little tired?
  6. I always make my girlfriend hold them, that way I don't have to settle for medium...I could just supersize it..haha.
  7. Why does Arco sell you gas if it is bad for your car?
  8. I guess you could throw one in if you had enough money to burn on a new MAF sensor. If you have a highly modified car then yeah, there will be advantages with the K&N. If you're just throwing in a K&N to increase performance but you don't have any mods then how will it benefit you? All you're doing in allowing more air to enter the combustion process with less restriction...but how about the exhaust gas trying to exit your exhaust system, it's still restricted isn't it? Don't you think the restrictive exhaust system will cancel out the "power" that your K&N is suppose to give you? A modified intake isn't going to do you any good without headers and exhaust.

  10. Clean the EGR out first then check O2 sensor resistance, then clear the codes and if you're lucky then the codes wont come back....if the codes reappear the you could just take it from there.
  11. Wiring an amp remote turn on to a your cigarette lighter shouldn't cause any whining. That whining you're hearing is either from a bad ground or if you ran your RCA's side by side with your main power wire. If there is voltage present at the switched terminal then your amp should turn on, unless your amp is burnt out or your connections are no good. If the acc or cig doesn't work for the turn on lead then splice it into the power antenna turn on. A switched circuit is something that only turns on when you "switch" your key to the acc or on position.
  12. Is it possible that a cat had done the pee pee in the outside vent just in front of your windshield? :o ← No no, I took a leak on it the other night when I was drunk...haha. Okay seriously though try this - http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=15261

Is your gas cap on tight?
  14. Yeah, the plugs aren't visible unless you remove the upper timing belt covers. No real special tools...just a spark plug socket and a long extension to remove the plugs. The wires are hidden under wire covers that you will have to remove in order to remove the timing belt covers. It really isn't all that hard.
  15. Hey Bob, it appears that the program you're using it all that bad...it works like a scope. It also allows you to see freeze frame data and allows you to run functional tests on monitors...plus a whole lot more. It has a bunch of extremely useful features and almost everything you need to help you diagnose problems.
  16. I think those HID look alike's don't last too long. When I still had my Integra I had a pair of those in there and they only lasted half a year. Hey, has anyone found whiter parking light bulbs (168)? I too have Silverstars and they're so white and bright that it makes my corners look extremely yellow.
  17. Yup, those are fine for RCA's. For the amp kit it doesn't matter what brand you go with as long as it's the right gauge. Just buy any 4 gauge wiring kit that includes a fuse. Walmart only carries Scosche amplifier wiring kits and they're only $25. Power wire is power wire, it doesn't affect sound quality.
  18. What do you mean self play by itself? FYI, you could find an Alpine in dash dvd player for about the same price.
  19. It might be ECU like VMF said. It could also be your MAF sensor breaking down under heat...do you have access to a digital storage oscilloscope? My sister had the same problem before she sold her 92 Camry, I checked the MAF sensor with a pack of ice on top of it and also heated it up...it only malfunctioned when subjected to heat. If your ECU might be replaced under a recall then you should definitely look into that. Do you have a K&N?

Everyone's here to help. I'm glad you tackled the job yourself and saved yourself hundreds of dollars. Nothings more satisfying then doing it yourself huh? I love that feeling.
  21. Yeah, it's inside the bulb. There's 2 filaments inside your headlight bulb, 1 is the high beam and the other is your low beam. Just pull the bulb out and take a look at the "wire" inside the bulb, it's like when a light bulb in your house burns out. I'm positive that it's just your bulb...there's nothing wrong with your car bro.
