nc211 Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 I was performing a site inspection this morning, took a photo from the rooftop of a neighboring tower going up, and got a suprise when I returned to the office to pull it off the camera. It's probably best to download the photo to your computer so you can zoom in to where I've drawn a black line. You want to talk about some serious nerves of steel! WHOLY SMOKES!
raymsixsix Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 I always say the same thing about those guys. I like heights but there is no way I'd feel at ease doing that LOL
jcrome04 Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!! I would never do that! Maybe if someone offered me $1,000,000.42 I would!
eatingupblacktop Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 I could add the $000,000.58 to even it out.
dcfish Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 Although it seems like a dangerous job, Taking into consideration that all the safety measures are in place, I would take that job in a heartbeat. What a life experience it would be B) And that is no bull.
djspawn00 Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 I've worked on shaky scaffolding w/o harness before... so if that job pays better than my current job... i'd take it... especially considering that I'm facing being downsized... anything to keep my in a lex.
SOMEONE ELSE'S GOT MY NAME Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Sorry, but that guy on the side of the building? He aint got NOTHING on THIS way crazy bunch of fellows: http://youtube.com/watch?v=lWF8KV4IW5o I'd put money on their very short life span. All you can say is ... " Woooah !! "
smooth1 Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 That looks awsome!!!! I would do that in heart beat! (Once I learned how.)
SOMEONE ELSE'S GOT MY NAME Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 That looks awsome!!!! I would do that in heart beat! (Once I learned how.) Don't expect State Farm to ever write you a life insurance policy, as your odds of longevity can't be too long.
nc211 Posted July 28, 2008 Author Posted July 28, 2008 Damn, that guy sure does cut it close to the road and ground towards the end! WOW, that's insane! I'd drop my organs in my shorts if I had to do that!
dcfish Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 That is the shiznit, WOW, I would love to do that..............
raymsixsix Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 WOW, that looks like a lot of fun! I would prefer doing something like that, as opposed to hanging on the side of a building, oddly enough. Although, I don't think I'd cut it that close by gliding that close to the side of the mountain
SOMEONE ELSE'S GOT MY NAME Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 WOW, that looks like a lot of fun! I would prefer doing something like that, as opposed to hanging on the side of a building, oddly enough. Although, I don't think I'd cut it that close by gliding that close to the side of the mountain Like it's not sick enough to skim next to the mountain edge, but watch close & you see he'll roll over on his back for a while and fly belly up ... and when that's not enough, a couple summersalts. (shaking head)

(shaking head) I know!! That was awsome! Way cool! after the video they had on the side a list of related videos, so I looked at a few more and there was this guy that had jets on his ankles and used the same wing suit to actually fly!! When he first jumped off the hot air balloon, the camera guy who jumped with him to film it was just falling, and you watched this guy just disappear! Man that was just too cool!
90LS400Lexus Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Ew, I would not do it. I cannot even walk across a boat dock. Is that tower going up in downtown Raleigh? I have family there and have been into downtown, but its been years. Thats a nice tower.
