Gold Color Emblems Means What?

A dumb question from a newbie... What is the significance on gold lettering of your model type etc. on a car?

It means somebody got the gold package.

My old 1990 LS400 (as seen to the left of this) had it and I hated it. It did not go well with the dark maroon color in my opinion. Looks good on some colors though.

I've seen alot of them too (they were popular with Caddy's years ago....Bling....Bling! ;) ). Because they are gold plated, they will fade & look pretty gawdy after several years. Never cared for them personally.

Just a buyers choice, Older gen. buyers (like retired floridians) tend to opt for the Gold Package IMO.

Some black cars with gold package look good. Some white cars too. Just depends on the car personally, but I'd prefer chome over gold.
