FLiP Sp33d Posted June 9, 2003 Posted June 9, 2003 im lookin to replace the bulbs i have b/c they dont seem bright enough to me. i want bulbs that are really bright yet are still street legal. any suggestions?
lex Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 I have sylvania silverstars for 9006 replacement. There brighter and definitely whiter than stock.
steviej Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 PIAA Xtreme Whites. 55w with the power of 110w. 4100k, very very bright. BUT (there is always a but <_< ) very pricey, ~$70/pr. steviej
SKperformance Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 i also prefer the silver stars 2 out of 3 cars have them ( in my garage at least) lol
lex Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 the silverstars are $19.99 for one at AutoZone, but there is a mail in rebate you can print out from the Sylvania website for $10 off when you buy 2 bulbs. So thats $30/pair.
FLiP Sp33d Posted June 10, 2003 Author Posted June 10, 2003 i have a 98 so i'll most likely go with the cool blue for the h7 and silverstar for the 9005. the piaa's are quite expensive... why is that?
zeta Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 there's also one more that i have personally. they're MTEC headlights. they run the same quality as PIAA in Japan and are 4350k temp. they are much brighter lumens wise to my stock halogens. i bought mine on ebay for $25/pr of 9006's. they run 55w->100w. check it out.
PearlLex Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 I used to have Silverstars in my Acura, so I bought some for my Lexus today. They look a lot better.
