This unit connects to the wires in between the ECU and the IAT sensor. The Racing-X module intercept/modify the signals that read by the IAT sensor. Ultimately, the ECU will calculate out a better air/fuel ratio to compensate these new signals. Take a search of the Apexi S-AFC controller/JET chip and you will see that we sell a product that is basically provide the same function with much lower price. Email us if you have more questions. The only thing I could really find for 2003 (everything else ends at 2001) is one called a g-box. Has anyone ever heard of it and do you have any info on it such as reliability, true performance, etc. If this one isn't good do you know of any others for 2003?? tundra-lover Posted July 7, 2004 Share Posted July 7, 2004 I thought for the Toyota's, you had to send in the entire computer to have it modified? Are the years different for application? I've always heard the chip modification was a waste of money too! Not much of a gain unless you have other mods like exhaust etc... BTW: do we have two bbsal's on this site?
