PrestonNg Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 I've browsed through a lot of the posts here and the 6:1 woolite mixture's mentioned a lot. I'm having troubing finding woolite in my local convenience store, is there something else that's easily obtainable that could substitute for the woolite?

You should be able to find "Lexol" at most auto parts store or "farm store"(Like Agway) If not I would use Einszett Leather Care (Lederpflege) Here is a link to interior cleaning. It has a great section of taking care of leather.Interior cleaning
mbpgawest Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 You should find woolite at any food store in the laundry cleaning supply section.
silvermate Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 you can also find the lexol products at any of your local pepboys auto stores.........works great too
SW03ES Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 Any type of detergent for delicate fabrics should work, although I can't imagine not being able to find Woolite, have you tried just a normal grocery store?
TOGWT Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 ~One man’s opinion / observations ~ Most super markets stock Woolite, Dreft, etc on the soap/detergent aisle (it’s a pH balanced liquid soap type product used to wash (among other things, obviously LOL) baby clothes Use a cleaning solution (Water /Woolite or Dreft 6:1 ratio or stronger ) ~Hope this helps~ Experience unshared; is knowledge wasted…/ Jon justadumbarchitect * so I question everything *
PrestonNg Posted July 13, 2004 Author Posted July 13, 2004 heh.. yea. haven't seen woolite but i've seen other detergent things.. thanks for all the replies! i'll look into the suggestions.
mbpgawest Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 After using Woolite, should you use another product after cleaning to moisturize?
SW03ES Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 You can but its probably not neccisary because of the coated leather.
