  1. For some reason, I think the photo is photoshopped. I think the IS500 is a 2-door sedan, isn't it? I've seen reviews of it in a car magazine (don't remember which one) but I really think it's a two door car. :whistles: :)
  2. See, Lexus/Toyota had a little design flaw with their driveshafts, and control arms so it caused the commonly known "clunk". Now think of it this way, at least Toyota tried their best to find a solution (this is like their 5th or 6th attempt, and I've been thru all of those attempts) and they hit the jackpot this time. Other car companies won't even go to this extent to find a fix, especially if it's not a safety issue. So we should all give Lexus credit for trying all these years to finally come up with a permanent fix. Now as for your sunroof issue, you can fix that yourself. I don't remember what page in the manual it is in, but all you have to do is, 1. Put the sunroof in closed position. 2. Tilt the sunroof open 3. Hold the "tilt" down (even if the window's already tilted) and wait for a few seconds. 4. The moonroof should close half way down 5. Finally, try it. ;)
  3. That's a pretty easy one. Try this one...... http://www.freeloader.com/content/freeload...bob_dcategory=1 ;)
  4. Welcome to the Club and Congrats on the GX. To answer your question, BobsGX470 is correct. You need to put the transfer case shifter in HIGH (H). Dealer should have given the vehicle to you in that position. Secondly, regarding the gas, you MAY need to put 91 or higher because you have an 06 GX, which has the new VVT-i engine that I think requires premium gas. It will say in the manual, and also on the gas door when you open it. ;) :)
  5. It's coming.... Just hang tight. ;)
  6. I highly doubt it's possible. I don't think there's such a device that wirelessly transmits music to any stereo (except an FM transmitter). Try an Ipod and get that module thingy from Vais Tech. http://www.vaistech.com/ ;)
  7. This video does wanna make you drool about it... ^_^ :D Nice. When is this baby due to hit the showrooms?
  8. I did not know that. I thought that vehicles that were registered as a "truck" but are on cars and vans, were accidentally given those plates. Learned something new. Yes, looking at the picture even more, it does look similar to a Sienna. B)
  9. So your RX got registered as a "truck"?? Oh that one. That's the old odyssey my dad used to drive. Well he still does because it's good on gas when it comes to showing properties for his job. :)
  10. uhh yea. :whistles: But remember, it's only front pictures. Maybe there are plates in the back..... :whistles: . I'll be putting them on soon. I'm still in the middle of a decision if i should get personalized ones. the random plates CA gives is kinda old (the line of 5 is ending and i got a 5V) and I really hoped for 6A but that's quite a ways off. But I've seen a lot worse than me. I know there's a GX in town, a black one, and he's got an 04 (i remember when he got it because he parks the car in the same spot everyday) and until today, 2006, he still doesnt have them on. The "Fresno Lexus" plastic is already faded and obvious. There's a Prius just down my street and I know she didn't put her plates on right away because she still had the old "Bingham Toyota" plastics, and when she put it on (after I got my 4R) they were sooo old. 5M!!! :) actually that Sienna is driving down the main street. :)
  11. Actually there is actually ONE TIME that Lexus will offer deals on any new vehicle, when it's clearance time. But i highly doubt you'd wanna wait for that (probably around 08). I remember when i got my GX, i was looking at the last of the RX300s on the showroom, and they were giving $2000 off the msrp, and it was clearly typed into the sticker. So only at this time would you get a "deal" but seeing the next gen a few months later wouldn't really make you happy. ;)
  12. So what was the problem with it? Post it up so others can get info about it if they're having the same problem.
  13. I'm happy with my new mod again. This (I promised myself) is my last mod on this 4Runner! Had the dealer install it this time cuz i didnt want to mess with removing the wires in the j/b and whatever else needs to be disconnected. It's daytime running lights (which some people dislike for some reason) but i like them. SAfety and also looks like the car's loaded with options when it has running lights. :D
  14. Not for a long time. ;)
  15. nice pictures. Wish my pictures from my NY/DC trip last year turned out as good like yours cuz I'm not a really good photographer. :whistles:
  16. I had the same problem, but they fixed it up after i had my pads replaced. They SHOULD replace it under warranty. ;) http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...0&hl=rotors
  17. Possibly NOT because the RX350 (even though it's been out for a while now) is considered a "2007" so you know how dealers are when the year model of the vehicle is ahead of the current year. ;) Try emailing different dealers. Also, try this. http://edmunds.nytimes.com/new/2007/lexus/...rchresults..1.* I used this as a basis for my email inquiries when I emailed several Toyota Dealers for the 4Runner I wanted. At least you know if you're getting the vehicle CLOSE to invoice, or MSRP.
  18. Unless it's necessary, or if I have a loaner or rental, yes I would use valet. Otherwise, you could end up with lots of door dings when it gets back to you. Plus, i don't like it when people don't put the handbrake on. I don't like the gears locking up. ;)
  19. No not really, it's just a visible dirt that doesn't easily come off Ok sounds great. I've been really patient with this dirt and have been scrubbing it off for a few days and seems like it's coming off. If i give up on the scrubbing, i'll try that. Thanks guys ;)
  20. I think there are two ratings, depending on what kind of hitch you have. Is it factory installed, or dealer/outside installed??? I THINK (not really sure) factory installed might be 5,500lbs and the dealer is 6k lbs.
  21. First of all, Welcome and Congrats on the Lex! Now how many miles do you have on the vehicle? Sounds very unusual but if it's really rough, then it's not normal. Btw, nice member # (27,777)
  22. Yes i think the 17 inch wheels is what makes it really nimble. Very nice vehicle. If i had a choice between, let's say a GS vs an ES, I'd take the ES anytime. The new GS has terrible headroom (for me at least) IMHO, so I'd take an ES anyday. ;) My dealer doesn't require me to fill up the tank when returning so that's the free gas they give. Only problem, I ended up using the whole half tank (which was the level they gave it to me) and had to pay $13 to get it back to them (w/o running out of gas). :D ^_^
  23. it does that all the time. Like there are some friends that for some reason, disappear in my buddy list but my number of friends is still the same! I thought maybe because of all the HTML i put on mine, but i guess it isnt! <_<
  24. i ;) have one. I'll add you SK. ;) Make that " Sharad has 1 friend(s)" lol
  25. my dealer doesnt require me to fill it up at all. The only problem, they give it to you at ramdom levels. Usually i get them at 3/4 full but this time it was only 1/2 full. So i ended up using the whole 1/2 tank that i had to fill up $5 the night before, and in the morning to make the empty indicator turn off. :whistles: Pretty fun to drive.
