  1. On the contrary, the guys at the 5 series forum think the opposite (I share the same opinion too) that the older body style (E60) is better than the new current one (F10). The only thing I liked about the new one is the LED plate lights, LED Corona Rings (aka Halos), LED brake lights (which was kinda dumb that they only put LED turn signals on my 528i but the brake lights are still the old school bulbs), and the new white dash read out (never been a fan of the red dash lights which is what my 528i has). I have driven the new 528i I4 turbo and to me it was a disappointment. So the new one will be out of the list since they changed the 528i engine from the I6 to an I4 turbo. :chairshot: Ehh I'm still having doubts with the back end of it. I know you didn't like the looks of the new GS when I posted those pics that I took from the car show, but the only attractive thing that's catching my attention on the new GS is the 12" screen. I sat in one at the car show last Nov and one at my Lexus dealership this week.
  2. Toyota OEM rebuilt products come from the same aftermarket parts store? It comes complete with a Genuine Toyota rebuilt part number that says "Rebuilt" on it and I ordered it from my Toyota dealer (long story short, I get my parts cheaper because I know a guy who works in my Toyota dealer) with the same exact part number that my Lexus dealer gave me. I constantly clean my engine often and I have checked the grounds and cable for corrosion and haven't seen anything yet. One of these days I promise to get around to the battery. I presume its a crappy battery because the previous owner just went with a AAA battery.
  3. Giants!!!! Yeaahhhh!!!

  4. To my Filipino friends. I need a temporary housemaid ASAP back home. If you can refer someone please contact me ASAP thanks!

  5. Cashier checks my I.D. & tells me "So what r u gonna do on ur bday?" Then I stare at her & I'm like Wtf do I know u? Then she said "I check I.Ds remember" . Then I said "well ur pretty observative still cuz usually no one really cares about the birth date" lol

  6. Ain't talkin credit cards if you know what I mean!! I'm over seas at about 100g's fo'sho. I don't play football but I've touched down everywhere, EVERYWHERE!

  7. I want a Valentine for Valentine's day.... Valentine 1 that is. LoL :-)

  8. Ah yes. Safety is always an important reason to change. I didn't like how some 4Runner have the curtain airbags and some don't. BUT I believe in around 07 they made it standard in ALL new Toyotas that rolled out of the factory (Curtain airbags are part of the "STAR Safety System") even if you were buying the cheapest $14000 Yaris. Still loving mine even though no one in our household wants to drive it anymore lol. Mine looks just as sparkingly clean as any brand new car at my local Toyota dealership :)
  9. Actually I've had several cars that do that, including the ol Prius. Really? Well I think that feature is a useless gizmo that may cause future problems with the computers or electrical of the car. What's the point of the temperature gauge reading if we're not gonna read it and just be shocked at the temperature outside when you open your door? Back in the day we used to always research cars before purchasing/leasing. Lately our mentality has changed as my pops wants to try out a lot of different cars before retiring so that means we currently don't care too much about long term reliability. For example, the X5 diesel we test drove was nice, but what's the long term reliability of BMW's diesel? I know they've had diesel in their cars overseas but obviously Consumer Reports or Motor Trend won't be able to test out the reliability of BMW's diesel as it hasn't been out for too long in America
  10. Forgot to mention about the alternator. It's an OEM Rebuilt Alternator so it's not a junk immitation or OEM-Like Alternator. I don't go aftermarket on major parts of the vehicle. Actually I usually never use aftermarket parts on anything in the car to begin with aside from LED plates lights or something simple
  11. Still havent gotten around to changing my battery yet to see if this is the culprit. You mentioned that you have a brand new battery? Is it a Lexus battery or a Kragen battery? I'm having doubts if the battery is the culprit because based on my tests, I know the source has to be the alternator or some electronics in the car which is causing the disruption in the electricity flow. When my car is off, lights don't flicker at all. When the car is on (which means it's running on the alternator), lights flicker.
  12. After making a u turn, i saw a kid on my rear view pull out a DSLR & starts taking pics of my car. Dude is either a stalker or is taking pics for a class. This is one of the reasons why I'm a tintaholic from Windows to even the license plates.

  13. Dear chem. 2 years ago u tried to murder me in inorganic chem (2 sems) but I won! Now we meet again 4 ochem & u might jst kill me this time

  14. Any video game experts out there? I need help. So I bought Battlefield 3 but for some reason my system won't play the campaign properly. In short, the game doesn't want to move on after a certain point. I'm thinking of uninstalling and reinstalling it, but my concern is the online code. Will it forfeit the code and make me buy another one or can I still use the same code?? Oh yeah this is for my xbox 360 thanks

  15. I know I'm suppose to be on a diet, but now I'm forced to diet because I'm sick Boooo. Haven't had a single bite of any food the whole day

  16. Just wanna ask around. Does anyone know if a lot of gas stations in the Fresno area have Diesel? LoL... Random question I know. Been trying to observe the gas stations I drive by all the time and I'm guestimating about 1 out of every 3 or 4 stations have diesel available... hmmm

  17. Then again, yeah I forgot to consider the fact that you guys live in a different part of the country where things are done slightly different than here in CA. Lexus is more simple in building a specific unit with options. BMW does tend to get a little tedious because you can order a BMW with Navi, parking sensors, sport package, xenon BUT no leather and homelink (I believe I've seen this combination on the lot before) Plus these BMWs have too many unecessary gizmos and sensors which makes the car more vulnerable to problems in the future. For instance, after owning one for almost 3 years now, I've never had a car before that flashes a quick warning on the i-drive telling me that the temp outside of the car is 37 degrees . I mean, we all have an outside temp gauge already so I think it's just common sense to know that when it reads 37 or anything lower that it means it's COLD outside :chairshot:
  18. There's also an option that some stereo shops offer. I don't know exactly how it works, but they have a kit which somehow taps into your radio directly from behind, and you can either have the other end of the cord as an aux or ipod touch/iphone connector. I believe you have to set aside one dead radio station channel and that's where that aux cord will play. I wanted that installed in my RX300 but the problem is that my antenna will be going up and down all the time which I dont want because it will tend to break faster.
  19. I've noticed that BMWs are really over-priced. I agree with that. BUT I've also noticed that BMW does offer more discounted vehicles than Lexus does. I'm currently deciding on whether I'm gonna get another car this year or not. I'm gonna be honest and say that my current 528i was discounted about $7k from the original sticker price when I got it. It wasn't the number 1 color I wanted, but I can live with it. I've noticed that if you aren't picky with specific options and colors of a certain car, you can get yourself into a brand new BMW for less than you would expect. If you have enough patience to surf thru all the BMW (or Lexus) dealers' websites within your state (or within a 200 mile radius of your current location), you may find a decent offer somewhere. For example, I know of a dealership who is offering a decently loaded brand new 2012 740i for $71k or $73k from the original MSRP of $83k (Shucks I just checked their website and that certain vehicle is sold already. I had my eye on that one for a couple weeks now ). It may not be the Alpine White or Space Gray Metallic color you want (it was a dark gray one) nor did it have a rear DVD system, but they did drop the price of that vehicle significantly without any haggling at the dealership. I believe they had a lease offer of only $699/month on that 740i. If someone is really into gizmos and fancy features, then a German car like BMW is something for you. If you're one of those who wants practicality, yet a little fancy gadgets here and there, Lexus is the way to go. I remember a friend of mine bought a 2011 BMW 328i BASE model (literally the most basic one available) for $34k-ish, and the vehicle didn't even have the basic features that a base model Lexus would offer like power seats, alarm system, or a sunroof! They are a little over priced but hands down they are really fun to drive. I just test drove an X5 diesel yesterday and even though the engine was a little noisier than the gas counterpart X5, but DAYUM that bad boy really gets going when you step on the gas :snoooorrrtttt: Another bad thing about BMWs is that they depreciate FAST even though you spent more than a comparable Lexus model.
  20. February is around the corner. Where the heck did January go?! This means that I'm gonna to start having tests in my classes grrrrr.

  21. In the mood to play Call of Duty at this time wtf :-/

  22. I hate drivers who are seriously retarded! A POS car was driving literally 25mph on Granville AVE north of Perrin and once the road became two lanes on Behymer, the idiot decides that it would be fun to race me. Like seriously dude, any granny out there would be tail gating ur !Removed! also if u go 25 mph on a NON SCHOOL ZONE. Stupid teenage drivers. On a side note tho to that idiot, only get back to me once you got a car worth racing ;) I could have seriously towed his car to a finish line if we...

  23. I hate that people take charge of something when they AREN'T in charge of matters! I'm one of the people in charge here, we make the decisions NOT YOU.. If you don't like it, then leave! GAHHHH so much stressful matters at the moment my head wants to explode

  24. FML! A lot of stress to remotely manage a household 6000 miles away... How I wish I was back home & half of these problems won't even exist to begin with... Who ever heard of your maid hiring their own maid??! A maid's maid??? WTF?

  25. Technically I'm getting paid to do my homework LoL! No thanks to having to work today, since it's such a dead day I can do my homework while waiting for 7pm to come =)
