  1. Okay, maybe I am wrong here but they (newlexusparts) DID offer free shipping on all parts before. Now when I order, they add in shipping?...which sucks. So if this is true, what other sites are good for OEM now? Need to shop around more I guess.
  2. 100 to 1 you are fine. Everyone, even me, looks inside the oil fill hole and flips out when they see the baffle with carbon/sludge on it. Either, you are using oil, blowing oil or oil test wil show high NOX/OXD to show you have sludge (or pull cover). Everyone is sludge crazy and most do not have it.
  3. I do not think it is that high. If so, CG would love it. If that is true about CG supplying a majority of the market to resellers, does anyone know which brands they supply and which brands are produced independently? Not gonna happen. CG is not 70% of the market. They would be happy to get 1/3 that.
  4. I do not think it is that high. If so, CG would love it.
  5. no big deal. It is just hard since many stores carry good towels. I like items (for example) danase.com and like 4 other sites.
  6. Go on autopia and search. There are WAY to many sites, MF kinds etc. But for a mitt I use Chinamarts oine for $5; ised only for ONR. I hate towels with tags or hard edges.
  7. They had a sale back in Feb or march. 2 jugs for $99 but I still am using my CG5050. I know on autopia most say Cg5050 is at the same level as the Souveran if not better. Not saying Cg is the best hands down but for a $25+ in savings, with the reviews it has gotten, I am sold.
  8. Mine does the samething. In fact, every car I have driver does it at some time. If you drive alot or on certain highways/place, salt/sand etc will do this. It is normal. Hell, drive down south with the "big rigs" you cannot stop it. DJ- love the pix! Love the A-team. :) In 1972 a crack commando............I Love it!
  9. I think, based on using Amsoil for way to many years, there 35K miles is not gonna happen. There EAO filters are the best out there and 20K is not out of reach (25K is getting out there). I would use there normal oil unless you need the extra ZDDP, moly and or TBN. Based on using it and testing, 15K would not be a problem (with most of there oils). Neither should 20. I do not know the engine history but I would test at 12, 17, and 21. Problem with extended drains is if you have poor gaskets, poor air filter, poor fuel system they all feed into the oil (and tests will show).
  10. I agree. I know CG and nattys look the same (for me). Just Nattys does not hold up like CG5050. It seems to me like Nattys is far to much oils in it compared to the other. I know on autopia many users of CG have gone 3 to 4 months and look good (beading, bird dropping protection, slickness etc). I have gone about 4 months and still look good (not my car). Maybe I have smelled CG to much since I like it. For $15 nattys is not bad. I personally think both items listed one will outperform the other. I just do not like waxing my car that much. One time in 1 month is the max I would do. Cheapest I can find Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax is $69 (on sale).
  11. Would would you switch back? Seems that dino is a temp fix to your problem. You have seal leaks and the dino sludge is holding them back.
  12. Have you tried to test your oil on this car? I only ask since I was using amsoil ASL and 15K (on several samples) & it would be no problem in my lexus. 15K on a group 4 or 5 oil is not a problem if your car is running correctly Again Lexus is way behind on the 8-ball on oil. You could use a $4 to $9 filter and go 15K miles.
  13. True but on the flip side, if I can get a wax like Cg5050 and is like 2 or 3 times longer (and maintains looks) why not. I would try Souveran but for the price and timeline for "life", nope.
  14. They cannot require you to do anything with your oil. Lexus is way behind the times on oil.
  15. I agree. or do an oil test and see what comes back. My guess is if there are no signs (smoking/using oil), you are golden. Most people are in scare mode about sludge & these engines....I hate that.
  16. I will toss in another comment. :) I like JW stuff. I have pics of JW AJT/AJ on my ES. I also have some using CG5050 wax on the same car (do a search). I know Nattys has longevity issues (since I used it and gave it away) and I have read about the same with Souveran.
  17. weird. I would not worry. I know my lat bottle turned brown after like 2 months. This one so far is much longer blue.
  18. Normal. After some time and or heat, it will turn brown. Product still works correctly..do not worry.
  19. no, a cleaner does not make the paint smooth like glass. It does clean but do not pull junk our of paint. Spend the little $$$ and like 30 minutes and feel the diff. Plus it preps the surface better for the next step
  20. I for one like Zaino, but think it is over-pimped. When you need to play chemist on some of their line, I look for other products. I will take JW for durability, price, easy of use and plain simple to use. I agree with the above, prep the car right and you could use walfart wax and come out good (for a short time).
  21. I purchased a pack of Clay Magic, a bottle of Rain-X Bug & Tar remover and some detail brushes. I already have quite a bit of Zaino Z-PC Fusion Dual Action Paint Cleaner Swirl Remover, ZFX Flash Cure Accelerator Additive,Z-2 PRO Show Car Polish for Clear Coated Car Finishes,Z-6 Ultra Clean Gloss Enhancer Spray,Z-8 Grand Finale Spray Seal and P21S. (See, no abreviations!! ) How would you suggest I go about getting the best results with the products I already have at hand? (Once these are used up I may try different items but for now I want to just see how they will do) Thanks! JD - Here is some pixs of the "liquids" I have: On the left of Nattys (now given away) is there CG5050. You do not see the 3 gallon of CG leather stuff though.
  22. SW, I also like LC pads (I think they are 6"). Have you tried there CCS pads? I still use their VC pads.
  23. Depends. I do not know the pad that comes with it (PC), but I like to have several different pads. Some whites, blues, black etc for different paintness corrections. Since lexus has soft paint, I like whites, blues and orange (if needed); most times not. Pads are also cheap and you can never have enough. They are like 6 to $9 each.
