  1. I need Two master program keys for a LS 400 and the computer... reason being is all we have is non program master key and the previous owner to cheap to replace, TIA.
  2. I like them...very nice clean look ..good job with the install. :)
  3. In addition to the good suggestions above, I would say you've prob got some dirty or malfunctioning sensors. For example, a bad O2, air/fuel sensor, or ECM could prevent the engine from going into a closed loop mode. Check your sensors and fuel trims. But what has me puzzled is why you would wait until the low fuel warning comes on before filling up? Read up on various posts dealing with low fuel levels to inform yourself of the unnecessary risks you're taking by doing this. well it was only 3 times I did the test and i only waited to the warning light came on because i knew definitely that was a marker for the end of the experiment. I know the catalytic consequences if you ride too low on E but as soon as the light came on I made sure to put gas... well thats the only way I could know that I was at the same fuel level for sure. but I am shocked at some of the mpg you guys are getting. i ALWAYS use premium gas in fear of engine problems that could occur if i use regular thats never a thought to use regular... when i bought this car it was in immaculate condition aside from the gas efficiency. i guess tune up is definitely what I need to do. out here in NYC its about 400 for a tune up... is there any better cost effieicent way to get better MPG? Not really kid..maint. and upkeep are the key to any cars survival. @ the rate you are burning fuel and at current prices the tuneup will pay for itself/ . Eatingup had a good point that I overlooked.. the 02 sensor and a few odds and ends couldnt hurt but a good mechanic will over view the car when he does a tuneup and if you explain the problem look over a few of the other options. At a tank of gas running around 80.00 look at it this way if you can double or better the mileage you are getting and turn four tanks of gas into eight..not a bad investment. Good luck
  4. Dont know sorta liked it...we didnt see the bill he was looking at...might not have been accident?....lmao
  5. Well considering I bought the Lexus for my wife...funny you should ask the question of game...because she and my seventeen year old daughter was pulling out of the mall the other day and some guy pulled in and ask if she was interested in going out....lmao...funny considering if he would have seen her out of the Lex he would have noticed alil different woman...based on the fact that she fact she is almost nine months prego with our son...and I will not tell anyone on here what I know she wanted to say...and I can asure you between her and my daughter no telling what she really told him...so I guess Lexus raises the game all the way around...I do know that one of her first thoughts ...is no not interested I was on my way to see my husband that works for Homeland Security....lmmfao...usually no followup information is needed...she has a funny way of shutting people up sometimes...and cute doing it...could be why we get along so well...I shut up ...she is happy...worked for almost ten years..lol..thats why young people get divorced so much... if he would shut up and agree more THEY would be happier...never pick a fight you cant win with a object you cant move... ;)
  6. There are a few things that you will want them to pay attention to...no matter where you take it.. I personally prefer dealerships or atleast experience over price ...lets put it that way... but there are alot of good mechanic shops ... stick to someone reputable not cheap nessasarily...! overhead of a dealership or large garage will raise or lower prices but all in all usually if there is a huge price difference there is more than one reason... As for the service usually drive belt timing belt water pump pretty standard... tuneup and diff fluid also... getting ready to have the second 90,000 mile done on my wifes 94 LS shortly and got quoted little less than a grand...That was at a dealership(toyota not Lexus...price difference there also) so it wont hurt to shop around... but belts and water pump... for sure. A few dollars now will save alot of heart ache later. ;) ...good luck
  7. Are you using premium gas? Is one question...and I would seriously check into a tuneup... I have a 94 and it gets on an average between 18 and 22 sometimes alil better depending... also the tank should be 22.5 gallon. The fuel light operates on a sensor so depending on when it lights up could be issue there,a few gallon could make a world of difference in the gas milage equation these days...but, I would check on plugs, wires, air filter...the whole shabang of a tuneup. There is a problem there somewhere at 8 to 10 miles to a gallon.. :(

  9. Yep having a large amount of stock and working around these companies for years, I agree, from my stock stand point its great...lol..from having to pay for gas in my cars how much is enough... from a company that banks around $1850.00 an hr..for every hour ...heres another link you might want to look at : http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?...ed=rss.business
  10. Congrats on the fuel mileage!!! My 94 goes in @ around 18 to 24 from what I have figured...so yeah for the cars to have the comfort and V8's very happy with them in todays gas by the barrel price... good luck with many more road trips to come... :)
  11. Well I do like the clean crisp look of the Mazda... but having a family I dont believe I could look at it seriously for my personal needs. My daughter has a small Cheverolet Cavalier SS and granted she is 18 and loves her car...I hate it.... So I think the only real question is for 34g " Would you be happy with the automobile?". Because when I think Zoom Zoom Zoom it makes me think fun to drive on weekends. But, if it makes you happy, hell your payment...your car.( all this coming from a man that still plays with old Camaros and knows they arent dependable). :P
  12. Proud lexus owner...from someone that has had an Infiniti...it is a good car cant argue... but then again..apparently considering you was surfing the lexus forum Infiniti has a good trade in value to... so what kind of Lexus you in the market for...lol..oh and :) and Im not talking smack..I just like to antagonizean·tag·o·nize Audio Help /ænˈtægəˌnaɪz/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[an-tag-uh-nahyz] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation verb, -nized, -niz·ing. –verb (used with object) 1. to make hostile or unfriendly; make an enemy or antagonist of: His speech antagonized many voters. 2. to act in opposition to; oppose. –verb (used without object) 3. 13. I havent used clay on the Lexus yet,but having used clay for years in the past on boats and planes found your information to be right on the money so to speak. Very good information. I agree even if you just do it once a year to remove the debris of winter and wear and tear of contaminants. No one will be disappointed in the results or in the time well spent on their investments. Great information :D
  14. Well was asking questions and actually a car dealer sent me the link...lol...Said if I wanted to know anything try this...and it led to me buying a Lexus...I think think site is great...and everyone helped a great deal. Out of all the sites I have looked at this one is the most informative and friendly that I visited...so here I am...So after looking around...Yep I am the proud owner of a Lexus and love it... ;)
  15. Must agree with dc...that car considering age is in very clean condition. You get a thumbs up for the find. And if you pick a car to down grade to from Lexus ...lol..j/k Mercedes isnt a bad second choice. Plus mom gets applauded for her new ride..
  16. Well lets see nothing to dramatic here husband, dad, soon to be new dad, X-B.U.D. ( Basic Underwater Demolition) in the Merchant Marines now I just work as a Captain of a inland river boat that travels from the Gulf of Mexico to any Inland U.S water way, depends on generated orders and fuel prices.(Work for a petroleum transportation company). Been to eleven countries and all fifty U.S. states. Really hoping one day just to be the husband and dad part to my wonderful wife and kids, without all the traveling...or atleast have the wifie and kids around when I am out site seeing the coast... but that will come in the retirement phase. Considering I am 34 hope to be in that phase in lets say the next twenty years...lol B)
  17. I have traveled all over the world and in about every state you can name since I was your age...your right it is annoying about the rentals I have had to buy a car in one instance to get back from Chicago because Hertz car rental was the only place open, and I was 20 at the time..They have a 25yr old limit to their insurance...Now I am a Prefered Customer ...go figure. As far as good experiences with dealerships. Kenny Kent Lexus in Evansville Indiana is one of the closer ones to me...When I bought mine they was more than helpful. They gave me the complete service history of the car (even some bad stuff..lmao) but all was well and was properly maint. and fixed, they sent me information and checked everything out. Returned every call and email quickly and never once acted like I was a bother even when I knew I was, since I didnt even buy the car from them..lol... I offered to pay for the help they offered and they said welcome to the Lexus experience and there would be no charge. Instead I got coupons for having it serviced sent to me and email letting me know that they would help me in anyway I needed to make owning my Lexus more enjoyable . I guess that is why they are a five star Lexus Service Center...I guess they buttered me up enough for the wallet raping I will recieve later, because I will be doing business with them when my car needs alil TLC. Thanks for listening and good luck everyone. ;)
  18. When I bought my car I had the same problem with my cd changer and I actually got 100 dollars off the car . When I got home My wife looked in the manual instructions....... This is a unusual cd player in that you have to put the cds in upside down otherwise you get the ERR reading. with most cd players the top of cd where the writing is is up on your car they are down so when you look through them to see whats in the changer you have to take them out ... I cant believe no one else knew this one . I hope thats what it is Thanks I appreciate the input tried the CDs upside down...nope ...its broke..lol...not a prob really most of the time we listen to the radio anyway. I just told my wife we would add Sirus to it like I did the boat and be done with it..lol... but thanks again it was worth a try. Captain, If you decide you want a working cd changer , Just let me know. I'll have one for you. ;) Is it Just the CD changer itself or the whole head unit you think... was wondering...send me a message with a price if you want.I work off shore and will be home in about a month but I am interested. And thanks
