  1. Thanks ebay has always been good to me for parts and resonable for some of the common ones. I will check it out for a ant. and as far as the cd player like you said that could be a horse of a different color..might have to have a friend of mine that owns a audio shop look it over. Thanks again and glad to hear yours has been a good one. From what I understand with just the input I have found on here the timing belt and water pump is a common issue and the rubber parts as one person put it... need to keep an eye on them.. but other than that its great..better than great its Lexus..lol... I really did enjoy the trip ...first time since I was a teenager I have rode in a car for that long of time and sorta dreaded getting out when we stopped. The ride is unbelievable and I have owned some pretty nice cars. Nothing that has offered a feel like this without waiver. Good luck with yours and thanks again for the post.
  2. Like I said a few weeks ago I bought my wife and I a 94 ls 400 with 134,000 miles and granted it has been very well maintained by the previous owner. All in all it is a wonderful automobile. There are a few problems 1) The power ant. to the radio does not work properly 2) the CD changer has issues...nothing major and fixing that should not be that difficult. I just wanted to tell some people that would appreciate that size of a drive with a car that old. Everything on the car seems very solid and dont believe I will be leaving the Lexus Idea anytime soon. My wife was leary about a car that old with that many miles and to tell you the truth if it hadnt been for the mait. records and dealership offering all the previous service records I would have never bought it. But after reading the articles on this site and talking to the dealer...134,000 doesnt seem that bad. If anyone has any ideas about the CD changer reading ERR...let me know.. thanks again for all the help everyone gave me when I ask questions before buying....and considering my wife is pretty use to newer cars and isnt complaining I bought another project...lol... ( I love old Camaros ...wifie doesnt anymore...lol) no comments from her says alot...Thanks again B)
  3. Thanks for the input man...I can use it all..I was really looking for a newer car, really just impressed by this one on how clean and well kept it had been kept. As far as everything else I guess I am sorta a car guy anyway have had and still have old muscle car. The Lexus idea is something I wanted to mess with for awhile. With my wife finally giving the banker approval I will follow up later with a few adjustments away from norm....lol... like I said any input is nice to have. Cant go wrong with to much info.
  4. I hope so just got the complete service records today from a dealership in Evansville Ind. called and talked to them for alil while and they told me no problem anything I need they will asst. I was expecting a run around in all honesty but the guy was super nice...sorta scared me at first ...lol... but he gave me the complete breakdown and explained some of the codes. I live right in the middle of two Lexus dealers one Memphis (93 miles away) and Evansville (96 miles away) Nashville wouldnt really talk to me and told me just to bring the car in when I could. Evansville gave me everything they had on it. It hasnt had its 90,000 mile service as far as timing belt and water pump, so it made my mind up on where it is going when I get shoreside...lol.. as far as everything else it seems to be in perfect order. I really love the car so I think I am hooked. Thanks for the encoragement... B)
  5. I hope so... getting ready to take a eight hour road trip...cant wait!!! :D
  6. Thanks ...believe I am going to like this car...lol
  7. Glad to hear it. ... I have always been a american car personality...BIG into Camaros...not dependable enough and with gas the way it is...well not really relative or cost effective..still have my camaro. But just bought the wife and I a ls400,was really looking for a newer car but was just really impressed with the car. Hope to hear you get quite a few 14 months free from problems. B)
  8. Just bought my wife and I a 94 LS 400 with 134,000 miles. We was looking for a comfortable car and was really impressed with the upkeep that had been done to this car. Dealer sold and maint. no known problems and was told if we upkeep it the same we could expect 300,000 miles out of her. Just wanted to go out and say hi and see others opinions on this. ^_^
